Poor Service

Bought a Certified F150 from Andy Mohr's the sales person Cory was outstanding. Then after months I started getting a miss and engine light came on. I call and scheduled and appointment for the next morning, I told service guy at that time I would need a loaner car or a rental, He told me they only had four loaners it would most likely be a rental. I said OK. I took truck in at 7:30 am opening time they said it would be just a minute they wanted to do a quick test to see if it was something that needed reset to save me the rental cost. A 1 1/2 hours later no one came to tell me what was going on. I went back to service desk not happy at that time, Because work was expecting me back. The said they have tried two fixes but still cant find issue, but was sure its almost done. After 3 hours they came and told me it was one thing they had to reset and that it had a gaped Plug ? and the boot and the ignition coil for # 4 plug was misfiring. that it would cost $300.00 to replace one plug and boot and ignition coil "OR" $500.00 to do a complete tune up. HUH! 2/3 the price for one plug vs complete tune up $500 ? I told him tuck was Certified and I was told that for one year its was like bumper to bumper a major reason I bought it there. Then for 7 years 100,000 mile power train coverage. "But it doesn't cover this he said" That they see plugs and ignition coil and boots as maintenance item. I told him I shouldn't be paying anything, He said he would talk with his manager. Came back with only thing I would be responsible for was the plug and boot about $22 and he said they can do a complete tune up now for $300 ???? what the heck. I said NO just do the #4 cylinder now I knew something was fishy. I told him, let me get going that they was suppose to get me a rental car to get back to work. After 4 hours he said it was finished. He took me to cashier I gave her my debit card to pay the $22 and she said OH there is no charge. I just look at the service rep. BEWARE PEOPLE, I and my son that had similar experience. Will not BUY or have them Service our Auto's again at Andy Mohr. This was my second vehicle I have bought from Andy Mohr an I have to drive about 25 mile and pass other dealer. But that's it we're done with them. To bad Cory the sales man was good people he would have gotten more business from us. Thank God my Certified and warranty is through Ford Motor Company and not Andy Mohr. Retired Ford Motor Company Indianapolis Plant Bob

Consumer response

Now as of 4/23/2018 two days after having work completed. Still same problem as when I took truck to them. So I guess it wasn't Gaped plug and Ignition coil. He told me they mite have to put a timing belt on it if it started doing it again. Not a good experience with their Service Dept.

Worst experience ever

Took my son to buy a first car. Tried to sell us a car where the door latch was broke and he couldn't get out of the car told me people like to work on cars so why fix it, it's not a safety issue if you want out roll the window down. Another vehicle had trash in it, car we went to look at had an engine knock. Told us about another car then came back and said it was to unsafe to sell so they sent it to the auction. Wouldn't take a car from this place if it was free.

Litterally the worst

One star is gracious. I found a car I was interested in on cars.com clicked the text dealership link. Was responded to rather promptly. I had attempted to start the negatiation process over text based upon me living 3 hrs away from the dealership. I wanted a satisfactory deal to justify the 6 hr round trip when there were other cars closer (only the wheels tied to the vehicle). The rep I was working with said those numbers would be hard to hit blah blah typical car buying back and forth. I told him I?m not willing to make the trip unless I can get the deal if not no worries. The day before I made the trip to the dealership, I was sent a text saying a lot tech had hit the car and it was no longer available. I was bummed as I was sincere. I had asked the rep to let me know the extent of the damage as I was still considering the purchase. No reply. Okay fine. Two weeks later I checked the dealership back and behold, the car still on the site. I contacted the dealership again to be told the car had indeed been hit, i still asked for a chance to see it. Was told i would be contacted later. The next day I got a text stating the car had sold. I had run into a service manager for a dealership that informed me this is a classic lie told to people to get a better sale from someone else. This shows a lack of business ethic and disregard for their businesses reputation. It is the stereotypical stuff you hear used car sales people do and I?m surprised the staff can stomach working at that location. Waste of time. Look at how horrible the reviews are and save yourself the effort. Shop elsewhere

Awful service department.

I have had several issues with not only my SYNC (bluetooth) and it took me driving there six times and finally demanding to speak to a manager before they ultimately fixed the issue. I also have set several appointments for my oil changed and every time I have waited for over an hour. For example today I waited from 10:30 AM and I did not leave until 11:45 AM. What is the point of making an appointment if they will not stick to it? Their service department is just horrible.

Professionalism and readiness of vehicles lacking

First thing we noticed is that the car we went to look at was not maintained by the dealership even though they'd made an appointment for us to come look at it. It needed new tires, an alignment, oil change and front brakes and those were the obvious discrepancies, as well as interior repairs. As for the sales staff they were quick to get with us however the salesman that accompanied us on our test drive was lacking overall knowledge, talked to much and interrupted us, and was on his phone for 90% of the drive. He always started trash talking the dealership and it's staff with us in the car on the test drive! There's an obvious lack of professionalism here. Obviously we didn't purchase the vehicle and will not be going back.

Pushy Sales is an Understatement

If you step foot on this lot be prepared to have someone at your back pressuring you to purchase a vehicle of their choice. I didn't stick around. It didn't matter how many times I would tell them I was not interested in what they were trying to sell me, they would continue to assure me "no, this is what you want". I hate that. It makes the car buying experience feel like a hustle and if very stressful.

Poor experience w/Used Car Sales

Was interested in purchasing a used car for cash. Sales representative quoted one price which was agreed upon THEN changed the quote to the original sticker price in the end. Wasted a full Saturday on this transaction. I would not recommend dealing with Andy Mohr Ford.

Worst service ever once you buy a vehicle.

Worst service from service and finance manager. I bought new Raptor from them. Had a get some work done where Insurance paid and they also charged me. When trying to get refund back. They are not helping and they have been keeping my money from almost 9 months now. Service Manager is helpful and good. Finance manager and service tech Doesn?t care about customers. I got my tire rotation and they charged for it but never rotated the tires. Had to come back again when found out to get tire rotation. I bought vehicle brand new and had recalls on it and service and finance manager said we don?t do loaner at all. You have to make your own arrangements. When trying to figure out about loaner and about my money they are holding. I heard finance manager lady saying ?This guy is pain in the butt?. Ofcourse you people are holding my money $910.00 from 9 months ofcourse I need to get refund back. If I am asking a loaner from my brand new 10 months old vehicle for recalls and trying to get my refund back and then they start calling me pain in the butt. Next thing I will be calling Ford corporate to find about loaner as they are not helpful and will also complain about double charges and being rude with customers if they trying to get their vehicles fixed. I don?t understand why you even sell vehicles if you can provide a customer service. If you are out of loaner vehicles doesn?t mean Andy Mohegan will deny giving loaner vehicles. I can sit there for 2 Days

Good experience, would recommend to anyone looking for a car. New or used, the only complaint, they forgot to reset the tire monitoring system on my car.
