We bought our 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, we called and AJ SMEDLEY spoke with us when we arrived he had the truck ready for us to test drive...he was very pleasant and listened to us about what we wanted....the whole process of buying our truck was great we didn't feel pressured to buy.....everyone we incountered was friendly and very professional....we most definitely will go back if we are ever looking for another vehicle....we highly recommend SMEDLEY Chevrolet to all our family and friends.....if you do go ask for AJ SMEDLEY he will treat you right

My wife was in a terrible accident on May 28th 2021 so once she recieved the damage settlement on her vehicle she found a vehicle at Smedley Chevrolet in Vandalia Ohio. my wife paid cash 10,250 dollars she was told by the salesman that smedley did a complete inspection so she refused the extended warranty of 800.00 so the day after purchasing the vehicle she found out the gas gauge was no working so she paid 400.00 then she found out the calipers and brakes are bad 1200.00 plus labor then while the vehicle was on the lift at a local shop she noticed severe rust of the underbody possibly from flood waters. Smedley has not responded to any reviews and i think its bad business to sell a unsafe vehicle to a person who was in a severe accident what ever happened to honest business in America. Beau you still didnt address why the severe rust was on the under body of the vehicle oh and i didn't mention that the vehicle was not inspected by your service department it also needed brakes calipers and the chrome trim is missing from the front windshield. You people took advantage of my wife who was not in her right state of mind after a horrible accident she really trusted you guys
A response was make to your August 8th review, I regret that you did not see it. However to the claim of the vehicle being in a flood, there was no indication of your claim to that fact. The vehicle did not have a flood branded title nor did the Car Fax report that was made available to your wife at time of purchase state the vehicle was involved in a flood. Every vehicle of age has some rust under neath the vehicle if it was not protected with undercoating or Zebart when it was new. This dealer sold my wife a unsafe flooded out used car after she was involved in a serious accident sure they went half on a 800.00 repair of the fuel gauge after Smedley agree it was no charge since the problem ocurred 1 day after the sale but they refused to answer why the vehicle is severly rusted under the bottom and the calipers and brakes went out after day 3 after the sale. My wife suffered really bad emotional trauma after her accident and she trusted the salesman when he stated that all of their used vehicle have a complete inspection.

Since 1955 Smedleys Chevrolet has always strived to give excellent customer service and provide customers with good value for their money. In this instance the customer purchased a 2011 Enclave on 07/09/2021 that was sold “As Is” no warranty. The customer returned on 07/16/2021 with a complaint of the fuel gauge was reading empty. Diagnosis determined that the Fuel Level Sensor was in operative. Smedleys, as a goodwill gesture agreed to split the cost of repair 50/50 with the customer. The vehicle was repaired. Bad service dept
I had damage on my car that was there before i bought it..I showed it to Chris and his sidekick in the service dept and they said it was damage I done with a heat gun....I filed a complaint with GM and showed them the damage and she said it was before the sale damage so GM is gonna pay to have it fixed Im taking it to white allen chev to have the work done...I will never buy another car from Smedley and neither will my son and daughter in law
We at Smedley's Chevrolet did inspect the customers vehicle for her concern on the drivers side exterior mirror and drivers side rear hatch trim. The customer purchased the vehicle from us as a new vehicle in November of 2019. The customer returned approx. 1 year after the vehicle was purchased and stated that this was the first time the damaged parts were noticed since she had taken delivery. We are not certain what the damage was caused by beyond it being some type of outside influence as the parts appeared to be melted. We contacted White Allen on 11-27-2020 and they stated that they were unaware of the customer or the vehicle concern. It is unfortunate that this has happened to the customers vehicle.
Smedley's service department is the BEST of any car dealer my wife or I have ever dealt with. The front line staff who deal with the customer- Chris and Mitch and others are true representatives of everything a Chevrolet dealer would want in their employees. They are dependable, proactive, demonstrate a positive attitude (difficult especially during these trying times), clear communicators, friendly, and helpful.
Update on review- we did receive a $50 gift card
Would never bother to make a purchase from them again. We spent over 3 hours with all the hassles. Worst experience in purchasing a vehicle in over 30 years.
I am happy to hear that you let the sales person know you received the gift card he personally purchased for you. I am sorry for the confusion around the purchase of the vehicle, that is not the norm here at Smedley's but I am glad to hear you are happy with the vehicle you did purchase.
Great Shopping Experience
We had a great experience buying a used car at Smedley’s Chevrolet. They had good customer service and great prices. It is very convenient coming from out of state, the airport is directly across the street from the dealership. They picked us up and signing the paperwork was a smooth and quick process. Would recommend and look to buy another used car there again.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Smedley's Chevrolet on two different occasions with the same pleasurable experience. They made me feel like I was the only thing that matters. Everyone that touched my car was extremely professional. I would recommend Smedley's to everyone that appreciates quality and respect.
I brought my car in on 7/10/19 for transmission flush and fill. The trans is clunking. I called on 7/15/19 and was told I could not bring my car in until wed 17. I feel this is BAD customer service for a service error. I hope my trans does not working
