Greedy Management … to use a credit card you must cover their 3 percent fee for already expensive car maintenance services. I guess service loyalty to where you bought the car isn’t important.

grwichmann, I'm sorry you feel that way about our credit card policy. The 3 percent charge covers the fee the credit card companies charge us. Our customers are informed of the various options to pay their bill. They can pay by cash, check or debit card, of which there is no charge. Or the fourth option is to pay by credit card of which there is a 3 percent charge. You chose the fourth option.
Dear Mgmt (interesting no name) …. Thanks for your response. I do like Jeeps and have purchased 2 Grand Cherokees. You have a great team … The Service Dept is great and the Sales Department is great. With your response, you are representing the management team that seems to be looking very hard at the bottom expense line of your business. What happened? … you use to allow the use of a credit cards without charging a fee? If you’re in financial trouble, I’ll be back to keep supporting you and your team. You don’t look like you are have financial trouble. Please explain the change in “fee” policy. And yes, totally understand, I do have options … other dealers, other makes & models, where to get my service and how I contract & pay for that service … you message is received. Would you consider other options that cost less? You should check out Fred Bean Ford. Yes, I’ve purchased 2 Fords as well, Explorer & Expedition. Last service, they actually picked up my vehicle - wow, how do they afford that! … and they provided the connivence to allow paying with a credit card without a 3% charge. Amazing group in all aspects. So what’s the overall cost to loose a customer or gain a customer? Goodwill, can generate many new customers … or lack of building goodwill can turn away many current and potential customers. Just trying to help you consider a bigger view and convince you to reinstate a no fee credit use. Best of Luck! GR

Last Friday, I was sitting in the dealership, waiting area, waiting for my car’s brakes to be done and I thought I would look at the brand new Grand Jeep Cherokees I walked over to Phil’s desk asked him a few questions and within an hour made the decision to purchase a vehicle. Phil was not only knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions but was not your typical salesman. He made the experience so fun and relaxed that it made me feel like I’ve known him for years.

Videon lost my business for life with their petty,
Videon lost my business for life with their petty, short-sighted greed, charging 3% to pay for overpriced repairs using a credit card. The type of practice I would expect from a failing mom and pop hoagie shop, not a successful (apparently) business. After 15 years as a customer, I will never give them another dime.
