This review is for Murdock McLeod: I really can't say enough about this young man: professional; enthusiastic; highly informed about the vehicle(s) he sells to the public; extremely friendly even in cold weather; really fantastic at multi-tasking customers (though, I know it was really frustrating at times); leads you to a logical path instead of just giving personal bias; very apologetic for the wait time, though this is just the way it is with a busy establishment; informative and helpful to the very end of the transaction. And hey; I just saw the orange fresh pad he tucked into the driver side door net!

About a year ago I purchased a 2021 Wrangler from Doc. I was very happy with his service and professionalism. Just recently I went to my local Jeep dealership to inquire about upgrading my headlights to LED. Initially I was blown off and had to track someone down for answers. I was told they couldn't do it and was told that no one has ever inquired about such an upgrade. I decided to reach out to Doc and he went above and beyond to get me the answers I needed! He hooked me up with Erica from parts and she killed it! I went up to see her and she ordered the lights right then. She initially told me it would be a few weeks but as I was leaving the parking lot she was chasing me down to tell me she found some up north and would have them within a couple days. Awesome! from there I was contacted by Lisa in service. She set the appointment up and took care of me from there. She called and text me while the install was ongoing. The service department killed the install and needless to say, i love the new lights! I have purchased several vehicles from my local Jeep dealer but am now a committed customer of Sam Leman! Customer service goes a long long way with me and the service I got from everyone I encountered was 5 star! Thank you for your professionalism! We will be seeing you soon! Jay Lincoln, Il

Jen Olsen did a great job helping my daughter pick out

Jen Olsen did a great job helping my daughter pick out her first car! She was excellent on her customer service and helped us get a service contract also with Sam Leman for the car!!

I'd been looking for a used Subaru Crosstrek and came

I'd been looking for a used Subaru Crosstrek and came across one in late July, on the Sam Lehman website. Keep in mind the drive is more than an hour each way. I set up an appt with Kyle to take a test drive. I liked the car and we negotiated. Fine so far, but that was the last good thing about this whole deal. 1. Kayla (Mikayla?) the finance person takes over. It was already after 7 pm and I still had the drive home. Literally, she hammered at me about a service contract for two hours and would not complete the paperwork. Finally, she said she could add the service policy but get me a lower interest rate, balancing out my payment. Fine. Whatever. She wraps it up after 9 pm, hands me a folder, grabs her purse and we walk out. 2. I get home after 10 pm and open the folder so I have the docs for my insurance guy. Guess what...NO DOCS. Kayla handed me an empty folder. What if I had been pulled over or got in an accident that night?! NOTHING to prove this was my vehicle...NOTHING. Unbelievable. 3. I had to talk to SEVERAL people the next day to get this resolved, Kayla was one. She says, "I usually hand over a USB with the docs." Ummmm...BUT YOU DIDN'T. No interest in talking to her. Manager finally emails my docs. 4. The car had some minor dents that they promised to repair, but I'd have to drive back, get a loaner, and leave the car overnight. Kyle told me he was waiting for the second key and then we could do it all together. A week later he told me he had the key and to make an appt (Thursday, since the repair guy only works on Fridays) and he'd give me the key AND the floormats the previous owner dropped off. I make ANOTHER TRIP there and back, and was given a HUGE, gas-guzzling truck as a loaner. When I dropped the Crosstrek off, Kyle showed me the floormats and I told him to put them in the back of the car. 5. Made YET ANOTHER TRIP to and from the following Saturday; set it up with Kyle. It was SUPER stormy and I had to fill the truck with gas. Crazy scary drive. Made it to Bloomington and...NO KYLE. They handed the keys and tried to send me on my way, but there were NO FLOORMATS IN THE CAR. Nobody would talk to me; said I had to wait for Kyle to get back, blah, blah. Sat for about another half hour or so. Finally got mad and asked for a manager who (lo and behold) walked to the back and found Kyle. 6. Guess what...NO FLOORMATS. Golley gosh. Don't know what happened; they were at my desk and when I came in they were gone. Oopsie. 7. I asked for replacement floor mats, Kyle looked up the price and promised me he'd have a set mailed directly to me. I am completely NOT shocked that it's now SEPTEMBER and I never received the floormats! Incredibly awful service and transaction, all around. Miserable experience. The only good thing is that I did my homework and knew I'd be happy with the car I purchased. That's the ONLY silver lining.
