ISO of Used Reliable Vehicle

I am in search of a used vehicle. I saw this vehicle online, inquired of information and someone responded right away. I like this kind of service when browsing on the internet, as I don't like going to dealerships just to be told the car I inquired about online is no longer available.

They treat you like family.

It is always daunting shopping for cars. Domenic who has over a decade of sales experience did not seem like a shady salesman. He really put us at ease and gave us space to look at cars. He didn’t take advantage of our openness with our budget and he along with Danny really worked hard so that my daughter could walk out with the car she wanted, a Certified Pre-Owned Nissan Sentra at her budgeted price. They didn’t get upset when they found out we didn’t need financing but really worked to meet our budget. You could see that they cared for us as a Customer and were very friendly and not overpowering. I highly recommend this dealership and plan to recommend it to anyone looking for a vehicle. I can’t express what a relief it was to be heard. Domenic has a great personality and will work hard to get you in the car of your dreams. Best car shopping experience! Will definitely shop here for my next car!

Great experience

I had a great experience buying my used Juke. Mark was very straightforward, honest, transparent about everything and made the process very hassle free. This was one of the best car buying experience I have ever had. I would highly recommend Mentor Nissan for new or used car buying.

Don't Recommend....

My husband and I were looking for a specific year, make and model of used vehicle with a manual transmission; much like what we owned before. We weren’t in a hurry to purchase. We just we missed the roominess and overall reliability of this particular model. There were several options to look at through various dealers but decided one Sunday afternoon to look at a vehicle at Mentor Nissan listed by Cars.com. When we arrived, we found that the sticker price on the window was different than the internet. On the other hand, the vehicle’s Buyer’s Guide listed a Dealer’s Warranty of 50/50 on engine, transmission, and differentials. In addition, there was the option to purchase a service contract within 90 days of purchase. Long story short, the warranty, along with a pre-owned inspection list and a negotiated internet price (salesman was reluctant to offer internet price; stating that Cars.com goes rogue on pricing and therefore they don’t have to honor that price) had us convinced that we would be stupid not to purchase this used car from Mentor Nissan. Fast forward a month later, along with two failed bearings, an extensive exhaust repair, I discover a leaking windshield and in the same day the clutch fails. My husband calls Nissan only to have the used car manager tell him repeatedly that we purchased the car “AS IS”. How can that be? We have the paperwork stating otherwise! Again, long story short, management at Mentor Nissan ended up honoring the warranty as it was stated, however not with out trying everything in their power to convince us that we were responsible for the damages, and insisting, even after conceding to repair the car, that we purchased it “AS IS”. Okay, whatever. I have the proof otherwise, which is my point for this review. My husband and I paid too much for this car for the shape it wound up being in even with the warranty that Mentor Nissan says doesn’t exist. We also haven’t been allowed to purchase service contract as stated was available on the Buyer’s Guide. I don’t want that to happen to anyone else. So, if you chose to buy a used car from Mentor Nissan, make sure you do your research. Don’t be lulled into a false sense of security about the condition of the vehicle as we were. The FTC website has great information on how to buy a used car and gives great insight into just how important the Buyer’s Guide listed on a used vehicle’s windshield is. I hope this helps.

GMC Terrain

Paul vaccariello made are car buying experience wonderful. We couldn’t be happier with our vehicle. We searched for a specific vehicle through cars.com kind of as a last resort but happy we did. The car was as described in the ad. No bait and switch here the vehicle was cleaner than expected. Overall I would highly recommend Paul and his team at Nissan of Mentor.

Nissan Nuance

We needed a car for our daughter, and Rod Trask and Andrew Chinchar, of Mentor Nissan, went above and beyond the call of duty to provide an unparalleled service. I asked them to find a Juke for me, and within a few hours Rod called and said that he had found a car from another dealer. It was waiting for me the next morning to test drive. I was impressed at the dedication to customer service that both Rod and Andrew possessed. We bought the car within 48 hours, and the paperwork was an extremely smooth process. There's plenty of dealers out there...but if you want a pleasant experience from inquiry to sales to service ....make sure that you give Mentor Nissan a chance...you won't be disappointed.

Don?t buy your car here!

We had a problem with Sirius XX radio who keep sending us letters and emails and calling us to renew the free 3 month service that came with the Rouge we bought here. When I called the manager,Rod, for help in stopping this, as the dealership set up the account, he was repeatedly telling he had nothing to do with this, he couldn?t help, and I should not be upset with him, then he HUNG UP on me! Once they get your money, they do not care about you!

Best service ever

I had my Altima serviced at mentor Nissan this past Saturday and it was by far one of the best experiences I?ve ever had coming to a car dealer. The two gentleman at the desk were extremely helpful and extremely friendly not to mention both very handsome. I have been to this department once before years back and it was an absolutely terrible experience and I can tell that they have made some extremely amazing improvement. Keep up the great work guys
