We have been driving Subarus for many years and have been service customers of Yark Subaru for the past 3 1/2 years. We have been very satisfied with the staff, professionalism, and results of Yark's Service department. When the time came to purchase my wife's 5th Subaru, we decided to buy it from Yark. Our experience with that side of the business was as satisfying as the Service side. Our salesperson, Nick Cook, was incredibly knowledgeable. He guided us easily through the process of selecting the model, color, and options that we would find most useful. There was no pressure, He got us a fair offer and made the process actually enjoyable. We couldn't be happier with the end result! Updating my review.

Updating my review. I had a rough start as you can see below. They did make things right. Yark took the car back after the series of problems below and I purchased a different one from them. General Manager Dave Thomas and Salesman Nick Cook helped work things out. I am updating my stars to reflect this. My only feedback is that it did take over a month to come to point of resolution. Original Review: It was raining the day I test drove and purchased the car. A few days after purchasing when the car was dry I noticed there was extensive hail damage on the roof of the car. It was not visible when the car was wet. But I was surprised because the CarFax, which Nick went over with me and which addressed hail damage, said nothing about the car having been in hail in spite of the fact that someone obviously repaired some of the damage but left the rest. In addition, the car had battery problems the day I test drove it. The salesman Nick assured me it just from the car sitting on the lot. The battery died and stranded me the first day I owned the car. The car also had a slight rumble in the breaks Nick assured me was rust. Again, he said, from sitting on the lot. Nick and one of their service techs assured me it would go away. The rumble did not go away and I am now facing a $500 break job.

Recently bought a new Subaru wrx from Yark Subaru, and had the pleasure of having Mia as my sales associate. She was very kind and knowledgeable about all of our questions about the car and the different options available. I am very pleased with my purchase and would shop there again in the future.

Brett Richie was less than forthcoming in regards to

Brett Richie was less than forthcoming in regards to explaining the costs involved with the extended warranty to my wife and I. We haven't purchased a new, used vehicle in over 10 years, I was a bit slow in comprehending the whole process when speaking to a finance manager. We actually understood the $4500.00 price tag to included the vehicles service, the paint and fabric and the tires, wheels and dent services. Shame on me for not paying closer attention to the individual costs for the 3 items that we chose. The cost ballooned up to $6899.00, I immediately began canceling the contract with E G Assurance company. While the only way to lower our monthly car payment now is to refinance our car loan. Mia Knicely, our sales person was so very welcoming when we arrived, very knowledgeable and answered a lot of our questions about the 2021 Jeep Cherokee Limited. Also, the rest of the staff were very friendly and accommodating as well. Unfortunately, after the fact we learned a valuable lesson about dealing with finance manager like Brett Richie.

If I owned the Yark Auto Group, I wouldn't have a Finance Director like Brett Richie represent my company. It appears that Brett Richie didn't fully appreciate me as a customer providing his paycheck. Our monthly payment went up as well as our interest rate. My wife is disabled, though can still drive. She wants to have her independence and looks forward to returning to drive for Lyft or Uber. She was supposed to make the $339.00 payments, which are now going to be $448.00 per month. Shame on Brett for making her dream more difficult. There's not much the Yark Auto Group can do in our minds to correct this wrong by Mr. Richie. I/we don't recommend Brett Richie as a Finance Director. Way to go Brett, your Bait and Switch worked. You must feel very proud.

Mia Knicely will remain our family favorite car

Mia Knicely will remain our family favorite car salesperson forever. As far as we remember, she sold us 4 pairs of Foresters (for my wife and myself) which we loved. She made our buyer's experience very pleasant laying out the purchasing process smoothly, friendly, and humorous simultaneously. She educated us during that process and gave a variety of invaluable advices. Mia has a unique personality and quite polished level of expertise not only in cars, but in human beings' structures as well. That helps her to immediately identify her buyers personalities and establish mutually valued contacts. Having moved away from Toledo area, we will remember Mia's help forever and will keep buying Foresters with memories of her. We hope to meet her sometime and will keep in touch. Best wishes to Mia, her family, and her customers.

Scheduled to have a five point inspection, tire rotation

Scheduled to have a five point inspection, tire rotation and to have them look and possibly adjust the headlights,(they have been super bright since we purchased our outback.) No one from the service center came to speak with us, an 1 1/2 later husband had to ask if our car was finished. It was still on the lift and they wanted to charge for the light adjustment and did not rotate tires. Very disappointed in no communication from the service department.

We apologize your experience has led you to leave us a negative review and have forwarded your concerns for more information. The time frame for diagnosis is normally one to two hours, and do try to have your vehicle ready in timely manner, but other appointments and work load may interfere. Your advisor was printing your estimate to speak with you when your husband came up to the desk. Your husband did not want to pay for the headlight to be repaired nor the diagnostic fee that was quoted, and signed for prior to taking the vehicle back, which was taken off because you claimed you were not told about it. Also, new tires were recommended because they were bald and could not be rotated. Please understand that we do try to serve our customers the best we can and sincerely apologize for your experience, and regret any frustration or inconvenience it may have caused you.

Cameron was a fantastic salesman. I didn't feel pressured, he wasn't pushy. The whole team there made the car buying experience simple. I was in contact with several car dealerships and with them the process just seemed difficult, complicated and it seemed like they weren't interested in selling a car.
