Car Purchase Procedure

My husband and I shopped everywhere for 4 weeks! We found Swanson (1.5 hours away) online that had the vehicle I wanted (and it was just as beautiful in person). Seth was wonderful and worked with us through the buying procedure without pressure. The only thing I would do differently is asking if they have a "runner" who will register the vehicle for you. They do not. We have to wait a whole month to register and I'm so uncomfortable driving it but have no choice. The only silver lining is that our DMV is working with appointments only because of the Pandemic so I am hoping it's in and out (I hope I have the correct forms) it's a stressful procedure that the Dealerships should do. Overall I would definitely recommend them.


No Hassle Dealership

Best buying experience for a car that I ever had. Matthew and Andrew were very pleasant no pressure sales. Will definitely go back in the future for my next car. Well worth the hour drive that I had. If you are in the market for a used or new car check these guys out.

Money over Morality

Because of the Coronavirus I was in talks with a salesman for a truck via multiple email instead of in person. After telling them we wanted the truck and later even sending pictures and info on my trade-in, he replied suddenly they sold it. I was blindsided and my wife was upset. The closest truck just like it at the price is in Pennsylvania (8hr drive!). They clearly are only about money and have no internal communication (story is another rep sold it). They were going to get my money so I literally don't understand. That's not how you do business.

Swanson Buick GMC was a breath of fresh air!!

Living near Norwood, I would always do my car shopping somewhere along the famous Norwood Automile due to the convenience of its location. When I was researching for a used Buick LaCrosse I could not locate one along the Automile, but did come across one that was located at Swanson Buick GMC. I usually wouldn't drive out that far, but since I was having no luck with the Automile, I gave it a shot. I ended up having a great experience at the dealership and ended up even buying the car I went to see. Swanson is much different than the big auto stores around my area. The people who work there have been there for a long time and really want to serve the customer. I felt at home with no pressure to buy and the ability to ask all the questions I like. They also took a personal interest in getting to know me. I felt more like a regular customer there as supposed to a walking dollar sign at the big dealerships.

The complete sales experience was great. Staff including Ron and Andrew were very accommodating. The truck was as described - no surprises. Sever other places has "secrets" about the vehicle that was not shared - wasted trips.

Purchase car at end of lease

This was a complicated purchase at the end of a 2-year lease, and a "first" for Swanson's under new GM guidelines. Throughout the purchase, Swanson's staff was helpful, straightforward, and responsive. We have been dealing with them for many years, and have always been satisfied.
