This is long, but you'll get a good idea who they really.
This is long, but you'll get a good idea who they really.are by reading it. From the start I said if they made this right, I'd consider buying from them again. Not anymore. I recently bought a used car from Toyota Ford of Greenfield, and test drove it a few times first. Each time it was in the middle of being detailed and smelled only of canned “New Car Scent”. There was a lot of dog hair, which I assumed was the reason for the deodorizer. After a while the “New Car Scent” was replaced not by dog, but by stale cigarettes, like a bad motel. Had I known it was a smoker’s car I might not have bought it, but definitely would not have paid the asking price, which was slightly over book. I replied to the manager’s email that welcomed me to “the family” requesting some compensation. This was ignored, as were several more, over several days. Becoming increasingly angry, I then cc’d my original salesman, and also Damon Cartelli, the owner of the company. Surprise! I immediately received this reply from John, the manager, “My apologies, something must be wrong with our customer management software as your response to my email was never forwarded to me…” In what world does an email reply need to be “forwarded” to its sender? John offered to have their detailers go over the car again. Unfortunately this was too little too late. Since I was out of the area, and the smell was causing me headaches, I had already started to take care of it myself. I bought an ozone generator and did two treatments. I’ve since done another three, and another full upholstery cleaning. It is getting better, but slowly. There's not a chance they paid top dollar for a smoker's car, which are always worth less. Google it. The average is 7.7% less. They absolutely have room to compensate me, but refuse to. Apparently I hurt their feelings suggesting the deception might have been deliberate: “If you had just approached this differently you would have had a 100% different outcome.” A word to the wise, if you are considering buying a car from them, reconsider. And John Potter, tell your salespeople to fess up about stuff like this, a smoker should have bought this car.

I am shopping for a new vehicle, and was working with
I am shopping for a new vehicle, and was working with Toyota of Greenfield -- was. I gave them 2 stars because they had to take a vehicle out of the showroom to let me take a test drive, which I appreciated. I did my research on the specific vehicle I wanted, and offered (via email) a specific dollar amount and asked what fees are added on. A day or so later I got a reply saying management took a "pass" at my offer. The sales rep never made a counter-offer or mentioned the fees as I requested and then wished me good luck finding a car and signed off. I was floored. Business must be so good that you can tell your customers to f-off like this! I'm now talking to the next closest dealer, who has fine so far.

I'd been looking for a 2011-2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
I'd been looking for a 2011-2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid for months, when I finally found a good one at a good price in Greenfield, Massachusetts ... and I was in Wisconsin. Called up, talked to Craig, got a good description of the vehicle and, when he asked if I'd like to make an appointment for a test drive, told him I was in Wisconsin and just wanted to buy the car. Apparently Craig was used to situations like this, because the entire transaction went smoothly from start to finish: he put an immediate hold on the Highlander, sent me the necessary documents plus the total price of the vehicle plus MA sales taxes (which were rebated when I picked up the car), and, when he received my cashier's check and my signed documents, he quickly sent me the title already signed off by the dealership so that I could register the vehicle in Wisconsin and get the license plates, all before I flew out to pick up the Highlander and drove it home. He even suggested which car rental company to use from the airport to the dealership, based on the proximity of the nearest rental/return location to the dealership (2 blocks). And this all happened quickly, using Fedex for next day document deliveries paid for by the dealership. In fact, the dealership did it almost as quickly as a local dealership would have. The vehicle was spotless and ready for me when I arrived, and the ride home was a breeze -- no issues on the drive, no issues since I've been home. Just a great looking, smooth riding and comfortable Highlander Hybrid at a very fair price, one that I expect will last me for a number of years based on my mechanic's checkup. Toyota of Greenfield MA knows what they're doing, whether you're a local buyer or someone like me who's half way across the country. Try them when you're looking for a vehicle. You will not be disappointed.

Was asked to go with a friend who felt she was being high
Was asked to go with a friend who felt she was being high pressured into purchasing a vehicle she didn’t really want. The salesman then ran her credit and presented another vehicle out of her price range . I voiced again what she was looking for and showed him vehicles available. You could see he was angry and then asking simply for the best price I was asked to leave right away and escorted out the front door . This was after he through the key to her car accross the desk to my female friend . Upon exiting he put his hand on my shoulder. I then turn around and told him not to put his hands on me . You could see he was red faced and angry and said “ no no I was just wishing you a happy Easter” ya some salesman with an anger problem that assaults customers. A simple I’m sorry I can’t make this deal happen would have been fine.

I had the good fortune of being greeted by Nick Kaham
I had the good fortune of being greeted by Nick Kaham when I went through the door at Greenfield Toyota, from that moment on I was treated like a Queen. Nick is so kind, knowledgeable, polite and helpful guiding you through the car buying process. I would give him a ten out of 10. Not only did I buy a car but now I have a new friend and the secure feeling that if I have any questions or problems with my car he will be there for me. Ruth Daigneault
