Last year I bought a 2021 ford escape and everything went

Last year I bought a 2021 ford escape and everything went fine. But after a year owning this suv, I have to renew my registration and my renewal slip never came. I contacted the DMV and found out, they never registered the vehicle under my name. They also told me they fill out the paperwork wrong by not putting down any identification like my full name with the proper middle initials and my date of birth. Currently I’m waiting for a representative to contact me to sort this mess. Hopefully they get this done fast before my vacation.

Dealer response

I’m sorry you feel that way. It’s never been our intention to play car dealer games with sold inventory. Unfortunately, some things do fall In between the cracks and we apologize for that mistake. If I could take a leap I believe the market is very low on affordable used trucks and that was our only truck. I’m hoping and believing that our staff just showed you the new one as an option. If you would like to discuss further please give us a call. Thank you for your review.

We Love Our Customers

I found a used Honda Fit online at Ford of Lake Geneva.I called the dealership for details and salesman, Cole Kucirek, answered. Cole was knowledgeable and courteous. Based on what customer service has become I was surprised how much attention Cole gave my call. This point was reinforced when I called again the next day, Cole’s day off. The salesman who answered gave the impression he wasn’t interested in my call or finding the answers to my questions. I mentioned I had an appointment to test drive the car on Saturday and asked by any chance would it be possible to come in fifteen minutes before the dealership opened. He repeatedly said the dealership opened at 9 on Saturday and there were no exceptions. Unfortunately I had to change the test drive to Monday. When I contacted Cole he was totally fine with the new time and assured me it wasn’t a problem.I test drove the Fit with my son-in-law, an auto mechanic with many years of experience and multiple Honda training certificates. His only concern was the feel of the tires, which felt bumpy and soft. Back at the dealership he confirmed the tires were eight years old. He showed Cole the sidewalls were damaged and the tires had numerous cracks. Cole said he would have someone look at them as “ we don’t want our customers to have to buy new tires after they buy a car.” We met with a woman from finance to discuss the cost and fees. I asked if there would be a discount as I intended to pay cash rather than finance. She replied curtly there was no difference in price between financing and cash. She added they had dropped the price by $200 just last week. My son-in-law mentioned the tires didn’t feel right during the test drive. She replied “ every tire feels different” and said something like he might not be used to the feel of a smaller tire. She did not offer to check the tires, to rotate the tires or even attempt to sell me new tires. After this conversation I seriously considered leaving the dealership. I left a deposit to hold the car and returned a few days later to make the purchase. I shared with Cole my disappointment with the finance conversation and commented that many of her replies bordered on rude. I next met with a different finance manager who had overheard my comments. She apologized for my experience and added the woman was a new hire. I was told the car had been cleaned. No mention of anyone checking the tires. After I purchased the car I started the 45 minute drive home. A few miles later I noticed the gas gauge had three bars but couldn’t tell how much that was as there are no ¼, ½ or ¾ markings on the gauge. Soon it dropped to 2 bars and the low fuel light came on. I took the next freeway exit and found a gas station. I noted at the pump the car had held a little more than 2 gallons when I left the dealership. Why did I only identify Cole? The Dedicated Team Page on their website doesn’t list him yet.I also want to recognize a young man who is on track to become a great salesman. In the center of the lobby there is a sign describing how they love their customers. The key chains they provided say the same thing. Would I have received better service if I had purchased a new Ford?

Great Experience

Great experience truck shopping at Lake Geneva Ford. Good people and good inventory! Owen was the most knowledgeable salesman I encountered during my dealership visits in SE Wisconsin.

An awesome dealership to do business with !!!

My husband and I had an awesome experience when we bought our truck from Ford of Lake Geneva. From the moment we got to the dealership until we drove away with our truck we had a great experience. Owen, Chuck and Michael were a pleasure to deal with, no pressure, a fair deal, and they all made us feel like a family. I would definitely keep them in mind when we look for another vehicle. We are from Milwaukee, but they all made the drive worth while. Everyone we talked to at the dealership was always pleasant and helpful.

Good service and low pressure sales

I had a great experience dealing with Rick in sales, and I wouldn't hesitate to come back to Ford of Lake Geneva in the future. The financing and extended warranty options available were clearly explained, and I haven't often experienced that at other dealerships.

No pressure sales

I hate shopping for a new car because of the pressure salespeople I usually encounter plus the fast talking double talk regarding the finance side. At Ford of Lake Geneva absolutely the opposite. They listened to what i was looking for, made recommendations, and helped me pick the best car based on my needs, not their need to sell something. Financing process was amazing! Explained in “plain speak” and with a lot of patience. Bottom line, I am always going back here to buy a car and highly recommend this dealership.
