Awesome Service Every Time !

The folks at Goldstein never fail to live up to their name! I?ve been bringing my car to Goldstein for a couple years, now, and I?ve had a great and personal experience every time. Their work is top notch, the turnaround is speedy, and they remember me like I?m a friend every time I come in. Accommodating each time, somehow managing to work me into their busy schedule with no complaints or extra charges. I always feel confident and comfortable when I bring my car here, and I think you will, too. Perfect stars from me!

Need qualified technicians to work on vehicles.

The oil and filter change and tire rotation were completed quickly. The price I was quoted for changing the transmission filter was twice what was quoted at a local independent GMC dealer, so I didn't have Goldstein do it. When I bought my certified used GMC truck from Goldstein, I was led to believe, by the salesman, that if I continually had the vehicle serviced at Goldstein, there would be some sort of a limited extended drivetrain warranty, but I just found out that, that is not true. When they were finished servicing my truck this time, they put my truck outside without washing it. I had to ask them to wash it. During several past visits I was given some reason why they couldn't wash it after servicing it , so they usually didn't. Before this visit, I had called and talked to a service associate about updating the software in the engine's computer and resetting the alcohol content value in the computer, because I was occasionally getting a check engine light. Both banks of the engine were running rich, because the computer thought the fuel it was running on was 57.3 alcohol and I wanted them to reset that value. The associate, who said he had 40 years experience as a mechanic, told me I didn't know what I was talking about and even checked with one of his technicians on the subject. My vehicle does not have a flex-fuel sensor and the computer calculates the alcohol content in the fuel it is using. I took my vehicle to a local independent GMC shop and they knew what I was talking about and made sure the software in the computer was up to date and then reset the flex-fuel composition value for me. I verified that with my own scan tool. I'm wondering if you have any technicians who are qualified to work on a vehicle like mine.

Hello David, We are sorry you were not satisfied with your recent experience with us. Goldstein Buick GMC does provide a limited lifetime powertrain warranty on most new , Factory Certified and select used vehicle purchases. To qualify the owner must perform all suggested factory maintenance at our dealership. We are sorry your vehicle was not washed, as we normally provide a complimentary car was once a week and with any service. Please feel free to stop back in and we can wash the truck for you. Your 2012 Sierra truck has a 5.3L engine with active fuel management & flex-fuel capability which monitors and calculates the alcohol content of the fuel through measured adjustments. By performing a fuel composition reset, this will not fix any issue but will only restore the vehicle to factory fill conditions and 10 percent or less ASTM gasoline must be present for future calculations. Resetting the system does not cause a relearn event to occur. The system does this automatically during continual drive cycles. There may be other issues going on that would need to be addressed.
