It’s sad when you buy a vehicle from someone pay them

It’s sad when you buy a vehicle from someone pay them cash. You don’t try haggling with them. You come back to buy another vehicle for your other daughter and they refuse to give a fair value trade in price and don’t budge on Msrp. We called Audi of rutland 2000 off msrp and fair market trade in value instantly! We didn’t even have to haggle. Sounds more reasonable to me

The staff at Audi Albany takes pride in providing fair sales and trade values for our clients. Our inventory is offered at market value and trades are always appraised through a variety of market reports, including Kelly Blue Book. I am sorry we fell short of providing an excellent experience for you and your daughter. I hope she enjoys her Audi! If I can be of assistance through our service or parts departments, please feel free to reach me. Rik Woldring General Manager Audi Albany (518) 509-9902

Came in with the intention to buy.

Came in with the intention to buy.a preowned non-audi. They had no interest in working with our budget, or trying to keep our business. Only good thing was that they held the car we had a deposit down for quite a while until we got a check from insurance.

My 2nd review for Audi Albany, We have had only great

My 2nd review for Audi Albany, We have had only great customer service amongst the team in Latham NY. It’s great feeling to be able to send an email to service manager Craig on a question about my wife’s Audi S4 and and get a quick response with an answer & a resolution. I called two weeks ago while on vacation in Maine and scheduled my Audi S4 35k mile checkup with John the service writer and he was extremely customer friendly and made scheduling my appointment seamless. My wife had to take car in as I had an important meeting to attend, John said the service would take approximately 3hrs and could set us up with a loaner so my wife could get some stuff done around the Latham area. That’s Great Customer Service! In my past reviews the thing that really stands out with this Audi branch is COMMUNICATION through text or phone calls during any of my service appointments. Thanks Craig, John & the Mechanic that did the service.

Price Gouging is the only term that describes Albany Audi

Price Gouging is the only term that describes Albany Audi Parts and Service! When I first purchased my 2022 Q5 it had a broken headlight level sensor. Closely examining the part its clear that the mounting stud was cracked probably at assembly and had corroded and broke off. Albany service tech assessed that it was struck so wouldn't be covered under warranty... Repair was over $1000. The part looks like a $50 plastic arm with a metal mounting stud. Ridiculous! Contacted Audi Corporate and they said dealers make the call. Strike 1! Just called to schedule my $10k service. Left several messages and no one returned my call. Finally spoke to a Service Advisor. Audi Albany price - $526 - ($427 for 10k (Oil Change, Multi Point inspection, etc.) and $99 for Tire Rotation). Called Pittsfield Audi and they were $260. Then called Cicero Audi and they quoted less than $150. When I asked the Albany advisor why it was so much more than other Audi Dealers his response was because it's Audi Albany. Strike 2! Sorry Albany Audi, not waiting for my 3rd Strike with you and will travel the 2 hours to work with a fair and honest dealership!

Thank you for your review. Our service manager requested coverage of your broken level sensor through Audi corporate and was unfortunately denied. A 10,000-mile factory service provides additional maintenance versus a conventional oil change. We would be happy to provide additional information. Ordered a Loaded Q7 form these guys.

Ordered a Loaded Q7 form these guys. First let me say I have purchase many new vehicles from Mercedes, BWM, Audi, as well as Lincoln, Ford, and Dodge and Chevrolet. I own and operate small business thats in its 37th year of operation therefore I have a working relationship with these other dealers on a regular basis to purchase and maintain my vehicles. I also manage this companies 1000s of interactions yearly providing reasonable customer service. I hadn't worked with Audi Albany before. The salesman there was Top notch, maybe one of the best I have worked with. He was excellent even after the sale advising of the resources Audi had to resolve an issue such as the one we were experiencing. The dealership just couldn't manage it as a whole. What a joke... they claim to be a premier dealership. There is no communication within these 4 walls. This Vehicle was in the shop several times for the same issue, Never resolved ( mostly due to poor leadership within the dealership). To make things worse, the manager of the dealership is not interested in customer service at all and is unable to resolve the dealerships incompetence. Somehow he can do this with little to no accountability to you the customer. Some sort of Nepotism I suspect. Audi USA had to step in and make things right, and they did. Audi USA Apologized for the shortcomings of this dealer and recommended I go elsewhere, Audi USA explained they have no authority over their dealers and the dealership can do business as they see fit. I took Audi USA advice and went elsewhere, you should too. Audi makes a great car, Albany Audi just can't support it. Audi Pittsfield is a short distance and a nice drive. Bring your business there you will be happy you did. Smaller dealership with the expertise to be able to use the resources Audi has to support their customers. What else could you want.

Mr. Masse, I am pleased you were able to find a dealership to accommodate your service needs. As previously outlined to you, it is the policy of Audi Albany to not conduct business with customers who are abusive to our staff. Rik Woldring General Manager

Consumer response

I would expect this type of response from you Rik, based on my first hand experience of your capabilities of management. However, I expect more from a Premire Dealer representing a far superior product such as Audi. For the record, I wouldn't consider me pointing out your shortcomings, where you the manager are not meeting reasonable customer service as abuse to your staff. Your staff is excellent and your resources are bountiful. It is you as the leadership that hinders Audi Albany, as I pointed out directly to you in front of your staff. That is what offended you. I hope this information is applied to further Audi Albany's position to prosper in representing Audi in the future. They make an excellent vehicle. Just doesn't stand to reason why they chose you to manage it.

My vehicle has yet to be registered.

My vehicle has yet to be registered. I am driving illegally and no one has picked up my phone calls or returned with any update to this matter. They advised me that they only send out paperwork ONCE a month. This is a ridiculous response to someone who is in the car industry. I am redirected to staff who are never on the clock. I always have to call my sales person who helped me at the time of purchase on his days off because no one wants to take the call during business hours which is unfair to the sales person. There is no communication with the finance department, office staff or any manager what so ever. I spent 50 thousand dollars on a car that is not of the year, the least I should have in return is communication and respect. I am an out of state customer, My temporary tags have expired. I can return the car with a full refund because I am not the registered owner of the vehicle due to what ever reason that they can not fulfil my registration request. They're response in the matter of the process was that CT DMV received the paperwork some time early august. Mean while, 2 weeks later after pulling hairs out trying to get in contact with some type of staff there. Julie Vandemark tells me that she's making sure the tag company or who ever handles the registration is on the task and only has one chance to send out the paperwork. This response was towards the end of the month. But the task was apparently worked on weeks before. I have emailed and left voicemails. I was extremely satisfied with Albany's service when we all started and it all just went down the drain. I do not recommend this establishment until I see the effort to rectify the situation in the terms stated above. My car payment on an unregistered car with active insurance is in less than 4 days.

Thank you for your review. We have been diligently attempting to register your car in Connecticut. Unfortunately, we were unable to process your registration prior to your settlement of some business with the state. Please feel free to reach out to me personally if I can be of assistance. Rik Woldring General Manager, Audi Albany (518) 783-5003

Consumer response

I have some vital information directly from DMV that I have been tying to share with you and your staff but no one seems to pick up the phone or respond back to emails. I am tired of having these open ended responses with no actual person to person follow ups. I Need someone to get on the phone and call me.

Dealer response

We spoke yesterday evening at 5:30. I then left you a message at 9:00 AM as a follow-up to yesterday’s conversation, as promised. Please feel free to reach me at any time. Rik Woldring (518) 783-5003

Eh. They are mediocre. I find this troubling because they are very expensive. If you are going to pay high prices for service the customer service should be top notch. This was my experience. I called the internet phone number listed on their website and got the recorded message that it was the sales office with no option for service. Looked again at the website and went to service and tried that number. I got someone who said they do not take walk ins? (I was hoping to get service that day) and that they could not take me. I was calling at 3pm on a Thursday. Maybe that was a little late but I stressed all I wanted was and oil change. I went to website scheduled service for 20,000 mile standard service for 1pm. Arrived at 12:50 and was told my standard service would be approx $580 by John Whalen the service advisor (nice person btw) This was for an oil change and filter the rest was inspections. Lol! I tried calling service card number for John to find out how much longer till car was done and got the same answering service trying to make appointment. She put me on hold for 6 minutes and then I got an answering machine. I called again and got John on the phone. I asked him if her had an extension so that it would be easier getting service and he gave me a four digit ext. 2 hours later my car was ready and they had washed the outside of it along with the standard service. Riding home I noticed that the mileage on my car was different than the paperwork so I called John to get it corrected. Tried the extension he gave me and it said it was no such extension. So I called and got a different service advisor and she said to send a pic of the mileage and email John. I asked her what his extension was and she gave me the same ext that John did that didn’t work. I told her this and she said you have to dial a 72 before the extension. (Like I shout just know this) I emailed John the mileage info and he emailed back saying he would correct. They are OK. Expensive. Not grade A customer service. Not because of the reps there but jumping through hoops trying to get ahold of anyone and on top of that paying top notch prices. For what you pay they should clean the interior of the car too imo. BTW I opted out of text messaging because I have received unwanted texts early in the morning waking me up.

Don’t waste your time!

Dealer has shady tactics which to me as a consumer is borderline unethical. The GM is unscrupulous and is a perfect fit for this organization. I have contacted AG’s office and hope they shutter the doors! I will most likely buy from the dealer in Vermont who is fair and transparent.
