Bethany Carpenter made the process of leasing a Sentra so easy. Highly recommended. Will return for future business. Treated very well. Go see Bethany for your next Nissan.
I traded in my car for a leased car, the sales representative did everything in his power to make sure I was satisfied and happy with my purchase. Thank you to, Steven Gates, you did a great job and I love my new car!
Best Nissan dealer in all of western new york!!!
I have shopped every Nissan dealer in all of Western New York and these people are by far the nicest people to do business with! They were all so friendly and they beat every other Nissan dealers price by over $900.........I will never go anywhere else again!!
Good cars lousy jingle LOUSIER dealership
I was recently at Mike Barney Nissan with the highest hopes of signing a deal on a used car. My intention was to trade in my car, put cash down and happily be on my way with a new vehicle. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Joe Gioeli was the salesman that "helped" me navigate through the deal. His attitude was appalling, I talked to him for less than 15 minutes. During that time I dealt with several eye rolls, an unwillingness to compromise and when the time came to sign a deal he attempted to strong arm me into signing a deal where I was given no financial information. Once I told him I was uncomfortable putting cash down on the vehicle, I shook his hand and walked away. As I was leaving he said well that was a xxxxxxx. To top it off I was in my car when he knocked on my window and insulted me again. He said to not bother coming back and that he did not to deal with this "disaster anyways". I'm not sure if this happened because I am a woman but I would never recommend this dealership. I will be reporting the poor business practices that I had encountered with the BBB.
Trustworthy & My Go to Dealer
You'll find honest people who work hard here, and nobody tries to make the customer happier. It's not a perfect place and customers are not perfect either.
Avoid Mike Barney at all costs !!!!!
I recently had my 2013 Nissan Juke serviced at Mike Barney Nissan. They completed a NYS inspection. During that time they also did there "complimentary multipoint inspection " which included checking the oil . They said everything looked great at that time . 300 car miles later I start hearing a noise in my engine so I immediately bring it back to Mike Barney . 3 days later they call and tell me the noise I'm hearing is the turbo in my engine malfunctioning and that the whole engine needs to be replaced and that it'll be 15 grand ! They also tell me that there is no oil registering on my dip stick and there are signs of sludge . My next question is how is that possible you guys just checked the oil a couple weeks ago . They tell me there not sure but the next step is that they have to take the whole engine apart and go in there with a camera while Nissan cooperate watches on to see if they will honor my warranty . I had to agree that if they don't honor my warranty I had to pay them 380 dollars for doing this . I bring them the oil change receipts I had and again question if you guys just checked the oil a couple weeks ago and it was good then there must be a major issue with my car . They then back track and say well maybe one of the guys in my service department didn't really do it . They then go on to say let's just move forward and do the camera inspection with Nissan to see if they'll approve the warranty . 2 days later they call me back and tell me that Nissan denied by warranty claim do to " owner neglect ". I immediately call Nissan cooperate. I asked them if Mike Barney told them that I had the vehicle inspected several weeks prior . They said no, I asked them if Mike Barney showed them the oil change receipts I had . They said no and said there evaluation is was final and there was nothing more that they could do . So now I'm stuck with a 4 yr old vehicle with 32,000 miles with a bad engine because Mike Barney failed to do there job. Do not take your car to Mike Barney . Don't buy from Mike Barney . Don't by a Nissan period . A week later I brought my car to west herr and the situation was rectified immediately . I tried complaining to the general manger of Mike Barney as well . He agreed to have a meeting with me . But then a few hours later emailed saying everything was my fault. I responded to him that I was at work and I thought they we were going to meet tomorrow. But he just kept sending harassing emails that it's my fault and that i needed to take my Facebook post down about the situation. So now I have the GM from Mike Barney stalking my face book . But people need to know how awful Mike Barney really is .
Mr Blair, thanks for your review, and we'd like to share the other side of the story to be fair to everyone. You purchased your vehicle at West Herr and aside from a visit to Mike Barney on 8/13/16 to get a Wiper Arm replaced, and an inspection visit 9/16 to get your inspection sticker, Mike Barney Nissan never saw your Juke before this, and at no time have you ever brought your vehicle here for scheduled maintenance. After your inspection, you stated the Juke started making noises, and you brought it back to us to find out why. Sir, it was determined by our techs and confirmed by Nissan USA, the damage sustained to your engine was NOT due to anything Mike Barney Nissan did, the engine problems we due to improper maintenance, and was not the fault of Mike Barney Nissan at any level, and any time. We regret your Juke issue however this is an isolated event, and we've never heard of this before, have been selling and servicing Jukes since they started selling them in the USA. We are sorry to hear about this too, and we regret we have been made to look like the source of your problem, and if anything we've been here to provide the solution. We have issued this reply in fairness to report the truth to the public and for the respect of our other customers.
Great Experience and AWESOME SALESMAN
Never been so easy to purchase my 1st Nissan Vehicle. Kenny Johnson was awesome to work with, showed me exactly what i want without pressure, and i recommend him to everyone who wants to purchase their car from this dealer. The dealership offers soda and water to all their customers along with fresh COOOKIEESS!!!! Thank you to the Mike Barney Team
Thanks and we appreciate your comments!
High Salesmen Turnover
I'm just at a loss for words because my fiance bought his Nissan there within the past year. I wanted the same sales person because it would make the process easier. I'm just disappointed that he is no longer at this dealer because the person who I was high pressure trying to sell me the car that same day. I just wanted to test drive and do research but he was adamant. After that experience I went somewhere else where I could take my time and eventually purchased a new Altima.
Our hearts sank reading your review - we apologize you didn't receive the care you expected. It's hard to keep people employed who want to try something else, and certainly we have to let go those who don't work out. It's in every business. It's not OK with us to hear your words tough, and you may not know it, but Mike Barney Nissan is among the most tenured Nissan dealers in the USA, meaning our employees actually are among the most longest employed at a single Nissan dealer, and no other Nissan dealer within 250 miles of Buffalo can make the same claim. This doesn't excuse how you feel, so please accept our apologies. We appreciate your feedback. Feel free to contact Steve Dibble our GM if you have any questions, he is here to help you. Thanks!
we made an offer on a vehicle which we thought was very fair, and our salesman came back and stated "Mike Barney Nissan is not a charity case". He said that to us at least 4 times and we walked. We went to another dealer was treated as a paying customer, not a charity case and bought a vehicle. How dare a salesman talk to a cash customer like that. We are not a charity case with cash!
Hi Carrie, Today Management read your review and we're certainly not happy with what you wrote. We would like to fix this because you deserve it. Could you please contact myself, Steve Dibble General Manager at 716-833-9888 and I will personally attend to this for you. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, it's obvious an exception here and not the rule.
Wonderful to do business with
My husband and I have bought 7 new Nissans from Mike Barney over the years. My daughter purchased 2 used cars from Mike Barney in the past 18 months. We are all delighted! Our sales rep Joe Dibble is very knowledgable and really nice, he made the whole transaction super easy. He was never pushy (nobody there has ever been pushy with us) and he was genuinely interested in helping us find the best vehicle for our needs. Thank you Joe Dibble and everybody at Mike Barney!! You guys are great and we will continue to buy all our vehicles from you (and Joe D). And we send everybody we know there!!
We're super happy to have you as a customer and appreciate your long term commitment, we'll keep doing you justice.
