I could not get the sales rep (Dani) to respond to my inquiry. The truck I was interested in was likely sold by someone else. Too bad the rep is so short sighted and transactionally fixated- I will continue to shop elsewhere.

I just got back from the dealership for the second time

I just got back from the dealership for the second time in @ weeks. I live over an hour away from Caskinette Ford. The first time I had an appointment to see an advertised used Tundra. When I got there they said they made a mistake and the truck was over an hour away at another site. I didn't wait and said I was disappointed that they didn't have the truck on site as promised. They apologize and I gave them another try. Today they said an employee had driven the truck to another part of their dealership and it was unavailable to see. I was mad, raised my voice and called them unprofessional, disrespectful of their customers. They told me to lower my voice and escorted me out the door. 5 hours and money for gas wasted. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership

nice place

Great looking place. The people were all very nice. I really enjoys my experience there. I bought a new F-150 in the spring time.

LAST FORD

WE HAVE A F 150 AND ESCAPE SEL BOTH CAME NEW FROM CASKANETTES BOTH NOW HAS APPROX 20,000 MILES THE ESCAPE HAS BEED BACK 4 TIMES SO FAR WITH BRAKE PROBLEMS THAT STILL EXIST . THE F 150 HAS THE KNOWN FORD PROBLEM WITH THE 10 SPEED TRANSMISSION ITS BEEN BACK AT LEAST 4 OR 5 TIMES AND IM TOLD THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT . THEYVE REBUILT IT AT LEAST ONCE AND REPAIRD IT OTHER TIMES .I GUESS IM SUPOSE TO LIVE WITH IT . THANKYOU CASKANETTES.

Lightning order canceled

I reserved a F150 Lightning in August of 2021 and placed an order for one on 02/10/22. I paid $500 for a deposit at that time. I kept checking my order status online and found out that on 03/15/22 the order was canceled. I contacted my salesperson and was told it he didn’t know why and the northeast corporate representative was working on it. After several days with no answer I contacted ford customer service. They confirmed that the order was canceled at the dealer and there was nothing further they could do for me. 11151440 was my order number from ford. I made several attempts to speak with the sales manager and general manager with no help and felt I was getting the run around. I had been a customer of Caskinette’s for 30 years and purchased several vehicles from them. For a long time customer to be treated in this fashion is deplorable. I was finally fed up with the run around, asked for my deposit back and purchased a new Ram from another dealer. I will never deal with this dealership again and would discourage anyone from dealing with them as well.

Must Read-once they received payment, downhill

BEWARE WHEN PURCHASING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! READ THIS FIRST! - Paid for a 2021 F-150 Power boost at the end of November 2022 - For 3 months, the dealership have me the runaround on shipping the vehicle to MN, lied and said it had shipped when in reality it hadn't, and it wasn't until I reported it to the police that they decided to ship it the next day - Received the vehicle and it had a major electrical problem, the battery was bad, wipers were bad, wheels were out of alignment and it was low on fluids - Brought the truck to a Ford dealership and it took 3 months for them to get it back in running condition - When you make a $60k investment into a truck and you're told it's gone through inspection and is in excellent condition, that is what you expect to receive and that's not what we got by any means - It took 6 months to finally get a running truck, all the while making payments on my previous truck since I couldn't sell it until I had the new one - Not only could we not get any response from our sales rep, the dealership would not respond either to and phone calls or messages - When I looked at doing a buy-back, I was informed that I wasn't the only customer that got a lemon vehicle and that this dealership did not handle these situations professionally at all We chose this dealership after reviewing many others and a big reason was because of the high rating. What we got from this experience doesn't even deserve one star, so when you're reading reviews, take it with a grain of salt and beware when trying to deal with them.

The way car buying should be

Found a listing an F350 on cars.com. It was equipped exactly like we wanted. I called the dealership and was put in touch with Travis who was my sales representative. I live 1,300 miles away from the dealership. I have purchased several vehicles from long distance over the years. Travis made the process very easy. I booked airline tickets to Syracuse, NY and he delivered the pick up to me at the airport. In less than 30 minutes I was starting my drive back home. Overall a great experience. I round recommend them to anyone.

My time and money wasted

I brought my car BMW X5 to Ford Caskinett for 4 tire installation. After the work was done, I called service dept. to report that when I break the steering wheel vibrates. I was told to give a accouple of weeks. I gave a couple of months there was no improvement. I took my car to Motorhead in Watertown and paid additional about 100 dollars to get it fixed. Thus, I paid additional 90 dollars fee to Ford Caskinett for balancing 4 tires. I wasted my money and time by going to Ford Caskinett.

Excellent Service Department

Service Department: Excellent/outstanding service. The work done on my truck (2500 Ram Laramie -Crew Cab-8 ft. bed) was perfect. Note: I’ve also taken in my GT Convertible Mustang and would give them five stars for this vehicle as well. This department goes above and beyond from start to finish. The leadership, customer service (Morgan), and “the service member team” is the best by far in the area. Professional, friendly, constant updates, excellent communication, and very knowledgeable. Caskinett’s Service Department’s reputation for excellence is well deserved and I would never go to another. Thank you, from another very satisfied military family. Over these past four years you have grown to surpass all of the competitors in the Watertown/Fort Drum area (work done, price, arrangements for both car and driver pickup, work time, after services (wash), customer service, open/clean/comfortable waiting area with workspace & snacks, followup, discounts (thank you for the immaculate detail), and advice on future services and upkeep, etc. Multiple duty stations, in the past 26 years, I can say their service department is a cut above the rest.
