No More Kiefer - Maybe No More Mazda
Service Department: pretty good. I'm pleased with them. Sales Department: Pretty Underhanded. We decided to go ahead and trade in our 2018 Mazda3 in 2022 because mileage was getting close to 100k and we wanted to take advantage of the increased trade in value, which was about 16k. We had already been there and we were aware of the price of a new 2022 CX5. We got there late in the afternoon and had my 1.5 year old granddaughter with me (mistake). It wasn't until we were about to do the deal we we're informed of an additional $3699.00 dealer markup on the car. As it turns out USA auto makers Ford and Chevy have issued press releases stating that this amounts to bad conduct and they intend to punish their dealers for these unwarranted markups, but no such press release from Mazda USA. This was not divulged at all on the web site. all toll, with the gap insurance and extended warranty, the 30k car was now being quoted to me for about 39k. I said there's no way I can pay that and I'm not going to, so the manager said he had a little advertising budget money he might be able to work with. He basically returned with a price that had my $4k down payment subtracted from the total. by the time we got into F&I with the restless grand kid, I just didn't catch it. Another sad note. They sold our trade in to our niece by coincidence 1 week later and marked the car up $8k without doing anything to it. About the 2022 CX5; Under powered motor-it's the same one as in the Mazda3. Still no back seat child warnings - 2015 Impala has that! Key fob was designed such that a standard key ring wont fit in the slot. Who does that?

The shop at Keefers Mazda stole my aftermarket turbo I hired them to install. $3K for the turbo from Turbonetics and another $2K to install it. After a couple months of poor performance, I took my vehicle up to a reputable sports car shop in Portland, only to find out that the turbo that Mazda had installed was used, cracked and causing an exhaust leak. Run away from this dealership!!! They’ll be hearing from my lawyer’s!!!

The shop at Kiefer Mazda stole my aftermarket turbo from Turbonetics. They returned my vehicle with a cracked, used turbo after I paid $3K to have it installed. Plus $2K for the turbo itself. They’re thief’s!!!! I wouldn’t trust them with a pile of xxxxxxxxx, let alone my second biggest investment. Run away from this dealership!!! They’ll be hearing from my lawyers.

Super friendly and helpful
Spoke with April via email about a Miata Club. She was beyond awesome, I would love the chance to purchase a Miata through her. Unfortunately her manager wouldn’t come down far enough on price of car to suit me. They are trying to get more for super low mileage, which can be cool- but in a sport car may not be cool :) with it being a Club without any real bells and whistles, I declined but may try again ;) April even ran outside and took a photo for me. I will request her for sure.

I purchased a vehicle in June of 2018 and that experience was great. I do feel like I was talked into service add-ons that the service center that Kiefer had no interest in honoring. The oil change I received there this past December, they put an oil filter in my vehicle that had no seal so the oil leaked out in just a few weeks. I had to make an emergency stop because I was suddenly out of oil and had someone replace it and refill the oil, which was completely empty. When I took the faulty oil filter into the service center at Kiefer, they implied that either I or the person who replaced it was lying. I did not feel like they had taken me seriously, or were willing to compensate me for their mistake. In the same visit, I spoke with someone in their service center about getting some scratches fixed on my vehicle before the extended warranty I purchased expired. I was told that they would call me back with a time, since only one person does interior repairs, and I never heard back from them. Now I feel like they possibly shortened the life of my vehicle with the oil filter error, and that I wasted money on warranties that they did not honor. This is my second Mazda, but probably my last, and I would not recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from them, and if you do, don't use their service center and definitely don't get talked into any protection packages or warranties.

I cannot say enough good about the entire crew at kiefer mazda. I have now purchased 2 vehicles from kiefer mazda, these people are sincere, caring and worked vary hard to get me into a vehicle with a good interest rate and lower payment then my previous loan. Even though I had no trade in do to my car being totalled last month and still waiting for insurance to pay off. As well as all the events of 2020. Trevor, Cameron, dylan, and of course fade you are nothing less then amazing and have earned my trust and business. Thank you again for all you do.

THIS IS THE WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. BOUGHT A BRAND NEW GRAND TOURING CX-5 AND NOTICED A FACTORY DEFORMATION IN THE GRILLE MOLDING AND BROUGHT IT UP TO OUR SERVICE WRITER BRANDEN WHEN WE TOOK IT IN FOR SOME PROBLEMS YOU SHOULD NEVER ENCOUNTER WITH A NEW VEHICLE. WE HAVE BOUGHT MANY NEW VEHICLES ALL FORDS AND THOUGHT WE WOULD TRY A MAZDA THIS TIME AROUND AFTER OUR FORD ESCAPE GOT TOTALED AND WHAT A MISTAKE THIS WAS. THE BUYING EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT WITH THE SALES LADY BUT EVERYTHING AFTER THAT HAS BEEN A DISASTER. FIRST THEY TRIED TO SLIP IN A SERVICE CONTRACT AND MAINTENANCE PROGRAM DURING F&I AND WE DID'NT CATCH IT RIGHT AWAY BUT NOTICED IT A COUPLE WEEKS LATER AND TRYING TO GET THEM TO TAKE THIS OFF OUR CONTRACT BUT THEY TOOK FOREVER AND WE HAD TO INVOLVE OUR CREDIT UNION TO HANDLE THIS SINCE THEY PROVIDED THE FINANCING AND AFTER 2 MONTHS WE FINALLY GOT THE CHARGES REMOVED FROM OUR LOAN. THEY ARE NOT A DEALERSHIP I WOULD EVER VISIT AGAIN AND I WILL FIND ANOTHER DEALER TO DO MY WARRANTY WORK EVEN IF I HAVE TO GO TO SALEM OR PORTLAND. THE SERVICE IS JUST AS BAD AS THE SALES. WHEN WE DROPPED OFF THE VEHICLE OUR SERVICE WRITER WAS BRANDEN AND HIS ATTITUDE WAS TERRIBLE. HE ACTED LIKE WE WERE BOTHERING HIM OR THAT HE HATES HIS JOB AND NEVER SMILED AND HAD A MISERABLE ATTITUDE. MANAGEMENT SHOULD UNDERSTAND THAT CUSTOMER SERVICE CAN MAKE OR BREAK YOU AND HE IS NOT SOMEONE WHO SHOULD NOT BE IN THAT POSITION. HE ARGUED WITH US AND TOLD US THINGS THAT WERE A TOTAL LIE. WHEN WE GOT BACK TO OUR BUSINESS I LOOKED UP THE PART AT MAZDA AND FOUND JUST THAT PART NOT THE WHOLE FRONT BUMPER AND SO HE SAID MAZDA WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BUT HE CALL AND LET US KNOW AFTER I HAD TO GET UPSET WITH HIM TO DO HIS JOB. ITS BEEN 3 WEEKS AND I HAVENT HEARD A WORD FROM KEIFER SINCE EXCEPT FOR A FOLLOW UP CALL TO ASK HOW OUR SERVICE WENT AND HOPING IT WAS A 10 OUT OF 10 AND WHEN I CALLED BACK TO SPEAK WITH CHEYANNE TO LET HER KNOW HOW BAD OUR EXPERIENCE WAS AND HAD TO LEAVE A MESSAGE AND HAVENT HEARD BACK FROM HER IN 2 WEEKS. I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY YOU CALL AND WANT INPUT IF YOU DONT CARE BECAUSE THIS DEALERSHIP DOESNT CARE ABOUT THE CONSUMER ONLY THEIR POCKET PERIOD!!!! I HAVE GIVEN UP TRYING TO REACH THEM SO I JUST DECIDED TO THROW MY EXPERIENCE TO THE PUBLIC AND WARN PEOPLE OF THIS NIGHTMARE. WE HAVE ONLY HAD THE VEHICLE FOR 5 MONTHS. THEY WOULDNT LET US BRING THE CAR IN EARLIER BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 SO WE WAITED AND THIS WAS THE OUTCOME.SAD,SAD,SAD. IF RAN MY BUSINESS LIKE THIS I WOULDNT HAVE ONE BUT THEN I DONT WORK FOR QUANTITY I WORK FOR QUALITY AND WE LISTEN TO OUR CUSTOMERS AND TAKE CARE OF THEM NO MATTER WHAT BECAUSE I KNOW WHERE MY PAYCHECK COMES FROM AND BELIEVE IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION ABOVE ALL ELSE. DON' FALL FOR THE 4.5 STAR RATING BECAUSE THEY ARE FROM THAT HIGH OF A RATING.
