The first of 2 Cadillacs I bought from Brotherton

The first of 2 Cadillacs I bought from Brotherton Cadillac NW was a used 2020 CT5. When I bought the car, I was told that if there were any problems with the vehicle that were supposed to be fixed when I bought the car, let them know, and they would fix the problem. I didn't originally receive both keys when I bought the car. Because they misplaced the spare, the other key fob they gave me died after 27 days of use, and I tried to get in the car manually, but the manual key would not work in the key cylinder. I called the salesman I bought the car from, and he set me up with an appointment to get the key cylinder fixed. I brought the car in, and the mechanic told me that there was nothing wrong with the cylinder and that sometimes the key would stick, but it was fine. I questioned the fact that the key would turn sometime 720 degrees before catching the latch or not at all. The Service manager again showed me that it worked and told me if there were any issues with the key cylinder, the dealership would fix the key cylinder, because it was a problem noted when I purchased the vehicle. When I started to put the cover back on over the key cylinder, I noticed the cover was painted a different color on the inside of the cap. The cover was not original, indicating some maintenance was performed on the door handle previously. When the battery went out a second time, I took it back to the dealership, but this time they wanted to charge me $800.00 for a new key cylinder, that they knew was broken when they sold me the car, when they pretended that there was nothing wrong with the cylinder, and when they lied to my face that no work was previously performed on the door handle. They charged me for a new plate when I signed the papers to have my custom plates transferred. When I complained, they sent me a refund of a lesser amount than what I was owed, because they kept some of the Tax, License, and Transfer fees. This company is very dishonest, manipulative, and rude once you have purchased your vehicle. They have no integrity and will never honor an obligation to fix a broken item they are responsible for without charging the customer. I gave this company the benefit of the doubt twice, on 2 different vehicles, because I believed it was just a bad salesman the first time, but I was cheated twice on 2 different deals..... There will never be a third time. I talked to the owner Mr. Arun, but he was just as dishonest about his dealings as the people who work for him. Worst interaction with a dealership in my life, in any place in the US. MILITARY PEOPLE BE AWARE YOU ARE A TARGET TO SCAVENGERS. I challenge the dealership to refute my claims because they cannot deny the documented evidence or the truth.

In March 2025, I chose Brotherton Cadillac of Renton to

In March 2025, I chose Brotherton Cadillac of Renton to purchase a CT5 Premium Luxury AWD and XT4, investing over $100,000 in total. I expected premium service, but my experience quickly soured. My CT5 developed major issues: OnStar and antenna failures at 250 miles, GPS and Super Cruise problems at 900 miles, and a catastrophic engine fault at 1,450 miles—with engine replacement on indefinite backorder. In my first 85 days, the car spent over 40 days in the shop. The loaner process was disappointing. I was first given a pre-owned XT5, then swapped into a visibly damaged 2024 Buick Encore with a broken grille, no adaptive cruise, and no AWD. All the while, I continued paying over $1,000/month for a car I couldn’t drive. Communication was terrible. The Cadillac Dispute Coordinator never returned my calls or emails, and Arun, the General Manager at Brotherton was unprofessional — raising his voice during a call and bullying me to remove my prior review (see screenshot of email exchange) by promising a replacement CT5 - which he later indicated would not arrive for another 60 days. After a week, Arun never followed up. I later learned the voluntary swap was canceled because my loan wasn’t with GM Financial and Arun never verified Idaho Credit Union would do a collateral swap and I would have to proceed through arbitration on my own anyway. In terms of procedural history: On May 8, after Cadillac refused my voluntary repurchase request—despite knowing the engine replacement would surpass the 30-day Lemon Law limit—I filed a BBB AUTO LINE case. On May 10, I sent a formal repurchase letter to Cadillac. By May 24, my car had officially surpassed the 30-day Lemon Law threshold. On May 28, Cadillac offered a vague “voluntary trade,” but refused to provide details unless I accepted first. As of June 11, there’s still no ETA for the engine, injector seal kits are unavailable nationwide, no repurchase figures, and no replacement VIN, and no certainty that I can even do a swap - since I financed through Idaho Credit Union. This experience has been a financial, emotional, and professional burden. I’m paying over $1,000/month for a car I cannot drive. I paid $180 for custom Marine Corps plates I’ve never installed. I’ve lost hours of billable legal time compiling documents, calling Cadillac, and retaining Lemon Law counsel. My professional reputation has suffered, arriving at client meetings in a damaged rental. Given the repeated failures and lack of communication, empathy, and effort - I have zero confidence in any replacement CT5 from Brotherton. Their management has shown a lack of follow-through and broken promises. I’m canceling all service plans and pursuing a full repurchase under the Lemon Law. I expected transparent, proactive updates and strong advocacy. Instead, I received silence, conflicting answers, and was bullied to remove my review. I expected an equivalent loaner, but got a downgraded, damaged car. I expected a swift remedy, but have faced denials, canceled swaps, and endless backorders. Brotherton Cadillac markets luxury but delivers indifference. If you value your time, money, or sanity, look elsewhere for a luxury vehicle. When problems arise, you will find yourself on your own.

Geno Lukata at Brotherton Cadillac NW in Shoreline helped

Geno Lukata at Brotherton Cadillac NW in Shoreline helped me buy find an elusive gorgeous blue Cadillac Optiq. It seems like few Optiq’s were to be found, especially in blue, but Geno found one that was in transit and recommended I put a deposit down on it to secure it. I’m glad I did, because there were no other blues on the lot or in transit to any Cadillac dealership nearby. I took delivery last night. It’s such a gorgeous car. Geno helped me through the process with knowledge, patience, and courtesy, the hallmarks of a true professional. Thank you for your help, Geno!

I love my new Car, but I will never buy, or recommend any

I love my new Car, but I will never buy, or recommend any of my friends and family to buy anything from this dealer ever. The young man Gino was my salesman, charming at first, but later untruthful, and deceitful. Gino called me and asked to sell me a car… I told him if I looked for another car, I would call him first. While traveling on business, I saw a brand-new Escalade IQ Sport II, and I was going to buy it on the spot, but I called Gino and told him what I saw, and that if he could get me the same car for the same price or lower, I would come and pay cash for the car. He told me he had the car on the lot, but then he called back and asked if I wanted different wheels on the car. I informed him that I wanted the exact vehicle that I showed him the pictures of and gave him the VIN. He later told me that they didn’t have the car, but they could get it. His boss, Nate, told him to have me come in and sign for the car sight unseen. This is a problem when I told him no, his boss, Nate, decided to express how he was not going to be played by someone pretending to make a deal and back out at the last moment. He also wanted to talk down to me as if I couldn’t afford the car, saying this car was too expensive to bring to the dealership if I wasn’t willing to pre-sign. I had an Escalade in their shop having the electric step module replaced, so I told Gino that I wanted to trade the Escalade that was just repaired, and I wanted the dealership to take care of the bill also as a part of the deal. He agreed, wrote up the proposal, and texted me a price that was lower than the offer I had earlier, said he would throw in 2 Cadillac Travel cups that I like when I was at the dealership, and pay the repair tab on the Escalade I had at their facility being repaired. I told him that I would pay the balance with a certified cashier’s check. To make a long story short I ended up paying half of the repair bill on the vehicle I traded, My personal Items were removed from the vehicle, and some were missing, but no one knew who removed my personalized plates and other items from the glove compartment. When I got into my new vehicle, the rear headrest was broken and was never repaired from an open recall. after paying another 5000 dollars in cash for extras on my car, when they finished the clear shield on the front end, the fender was misaligned. The personalized plates that I wanted transferred to the New vehicle were never transferred ….. these guys ordered new plates, which cost much more, and to top it off the custom key necklace for my New Escalade was missing, and I still didn’t get my cups. I am not sure if the salesman got my brother's number from the maintenance records, but the sales department called my brother and asked if they could help him buy a new Lyriq.. My brother has since bought a New Lyriq, but not from Brotherton NW. My girl wants a new Caddy also, but it will never be bought at Brotherton. Maybe sometime in the near future, I will receive a new headrest, which should have been taken care of before the car was delivered. I have never had as much disdain for any car deal I have made in the past, but I will never forget this one, along with the trickery, and ill ill-mannered Sales Manager.

If anyone who bought a xt4 from Brotherton Cadillac NW or any other cadillac, please help me out. I got battery low message 30 minutes after I left my car in Brotherton Cadillac nw. That time I was driving. I think there is a problem with the battery. I was still 2 miles away from brotherton cadillac nw so I texted but salesman told it is ok. and than few hour later started engine sound. I was driving when this noise started. It was quiet at first, but after a few minutes it got so loud that I had to drive back home. I am a single parent raising two children, so I am always busy with work and only have time on Sundays. So I wanted to buy a safe and good brand car for my son, who is only 15 years old. But I don't know much about cars, so I bought a new car from a good brand. This car is for my children's school studies. I started having problems with the car 30 minutes after I bought it, and I am insisting that I should change it to another car because I haven't licensed it yet, but they are wasting their time. They will tow it, rent it, etc. I need advice anything. I need to sue and lawyer for car details? I will post the full story soon with my pictures and email and text message. Please give me advice and your same experiences at Brotherton cadillac NW. Thank you. #cadillac #xt4 #brotherton #brotherton nw #washington #brothertoncadillacnw
