The service experience was good, especially the ride with the technician, Kyler. He was very professional and listened to what I had learned in an online... forum about the noise being "normal". I deducted one point from my rating because, a week before when I made the service appointment, I told the lady about the forum. Had she or someone reviewed the site then, they could have learned about this noise issue and I wouldn't have had to return for service.

I brought my 2013 VW Passat TDI SE to Lithia with an electrical problem in which the battery was not charging properly. The service department was very... helpful and was able to get my car in quickly and repaired the next day. The technician evaluated the problem, repaired the vehicle, and then wrote a thorough report afterward.

The service was great. No questions asked on the warranty. They found the problem and fixed it and documented every step they took. They were very responsive... when asked for status. My only complaint would be that I scheduled the appointment for Wednesday and they didn't get to my car until Thursday. It would be great if they offered loaner vehicles so I wouldn't have to go for two days without a car and have to find a ride to pick up my car when it's done.

Please start taking appointments for oil changes. Over 2 hours for an "express oil change" is too long with a 4 year old. I do appreciate the dry erase... boards my son loves drawing while waiting. One other minor issue is that my seat and all of the minors were completely moved way beyond what they should have. I get adjusting the mirrors to properly see and would prefer they do so I don't have damage to my vehicle but this was beyond that. Not a major issue more of an annoyance.
I had my Trans Fluid changed cost almost $300.00 $185.00 labor seems alful high I wonder how much of that the service person got. They recommended several... different things I should have done,I checked in n one VW wants $59.00 to change air filter and $59.00 for cabin filter,I checked both of those cost approx. $8.00 to $12.00 each,I'm going to go buy and do the work myself and some of the other thing recommended I'm going to Texas to have done,the dealer down there I know doesn't charge big time because he doesn't have to pay for big new building,and probably not a big house I never recommend any business!
We had a small mechanical issue with a bolt in the driver's door on our 2019 Jetta. We phoned Lithia of Des Moines, and scheduled maintenance. On arrival,... they took the car in, made us comfortable, as we were waiting there. We enjoyed a free cup of coffee, and then our service guy came out, explained in excellent detail and very understandably what had been needed, and that it was done. In and out in under half an hour, treated well, perfect experience. We are delighted with our dealer.
