Having had less-than-ideal experiences with car purchases

Having had less-than-ideal experiences with car purchases in the past, my initial expectations were quite reserved. Update#2: Worst experience EVER.

Update#2: Worst experience EVER. 10/10 don't recommend. 2024 Silverado under manufacturer warranty broke down 2.5 hours from our house over Memorial Day weekend while towing our trailer. The dealership wouldn't give us a loaner car until it was diagnosed but wouldn't give us a time frame on diagnosis. They promised us loaner car within the hour two days ago. Then it was magically diagnosed and fixed in one day but they can't get our vehicle back to us. Our claim advisor at GM has been zero help and doesn't call when she says she will. 10/10 don't recommend GM, Chevy or AutoNation Chevrolet North Corpus Christi (Corpus Christi). Update#1: The number provided below is not the number for the GM, it's the number for the dealership and we've left several messages for the GM and he's not called us back yet. Our truck was towed to AutoNation Chevrolet North Corpus Christi dealership over the weekend because the injector went out AGAIN. We are under 3 years/36k miles so clearly this is a covered repair. They said it will take about 10 days to diagnose because they are so backed up and are refusing to give us a loaner car until they diagnose. Don't recommend buying or taking anything there for service as you will be stranded without a vehicle. Reading other reviews it sounds like we will be out of a vehicle for a month because they take so long to diagnose. I wish I could give zero stars.

I did that before posting this review. 5 days ago your customer relations teams said they would respond in 24-48 hours and we have yet to receive a response from them as well. We also haven't received our truck back. Your severe lack of customer service and communication from your dealership and customer relations is horrific and I've made reviews in multiple places because I want every single perspective buyer to be well aware of what they will be dealing with prior to purchasing or servicing a vehicle from AutoNation but especially from your North Corpus Christi Chevy location.

Can we have bought and traded in several cars with him now and have always had the greatest experience because he knows his business very well. Plus! He has great knowledge of the industry. Overall we were very satisfied.

Overall we were very satisfied. It was a great experience. They took care of my vehicle and did a great job. They ordered what needed to be done then fixed it with no problems. It was in and out in no time.
