The best part about working with Eugene is that he is matter-of-fact, he won't just give up on your wants and needs when finding you the right vehicle for you. He also understands that buying a car is a BIG deal for most people, especially when it's someone's first big purchase. He went out of his way to find the right fit for me; without trying to persuade me either way. I understand that his boldness may scare some off; however, I think it's endearing he thinks so highly of his customers, and potential new customers, that he will be completely transparent with them, without the concern about losing a sale.

Went to Rock County Honda just browsing, Skipper and Eugene made me a deal I couldn’t refuse. On top of that Eugene made me feel like a friend! He took me out for an evening of dinner and drink. Then to top it all he offered to take me fishing the following day but I had to pass as I was leaving town the next day in my new Honda!

It was a lovely dealership to visit. Not once did I ever feel pressured or bombarded like many other dealerships in the past. I would definitely visit again and suggest others to visit as well. Sales manager Eugene was incredibly friendly and professional. I left feeling confident in my decisions and knew if I needed anything I could give him a call anytime.

Had a great time buying a car last week with the guys over at honda. Everyone listened and took their time explaining things. This was my first time buying a car from a dealership so I was very skeptical of everything. But I think I could get used to it. We did the numbers on the phone and they had the car ready for me. 10/10 stars.

My son and I stopped by the dealership to test drive a 2023 Honda Civic that only had 12,000 miles. We really liked the car and had them do up numbers before we left the dealership. We stopped at Kayser because he wanted to check out the Trax. I told AJ (salesman) that we were going there and we would be in touch. My son did not like the Trax so we started communicating with AJ about the car. We asked if they would give us $1000 for our trade (2007 GMC Envoy) and knock off $500 from the price we would have a deal. They wanted the VIN number for the car so my son sent them picture of the insurance card. The VIN number didn't work (we later found out that the number on the insurance card was wrong). After that text, we called the AJ. AJ then proceeded to tell us that someone else was negotiating on the car and he was pretty sure they were going to buy it. I thought this was really shady on their part. In today's world, I wouldn't think that you would need to be in the dealership to negotiate. There are so many deals done on the phone, through e-mail, and on-line, I just assumed we were first in line for the car since we started negotiating first. WRONG! The next morning, I received a text from AJ about a different car, a 2026 Civic. The manager had put together some numbers on this car. I tried calling AJ to speak with him about the numbers because they didn't make sense. They were asking more for the used 2026 Honda Sport than a NEW Honda Sport, so I figured they had room to go down. AJ did not answer the phone, so I called and asked to speak with the sales manager. Eugene (one of the sales managers) answered. I told him I thought what happened the night before was kind of dirty. He completed flipped out and started yelling and arguing with me about how it was not dirty because I left the dealership. I tried to ask the question about the 2026 Civic, but he just continued on about how I was wrong. I told him I wasn't going to argue with him and tried again to ask about the 2026 Civic. He wouldn't let it go. I told him I was going to write an awful review, he didn't care. He said, "go ahead. I will just write my rebuttal and they won't believe you." That completely floored me. I told him I would never by a car from his dealership and he started in again. I ended up just hanging up on him. I ended up at Frank Boucher Volkswagen and purchased a brand new Jetta. They were amazing to work with.

Dealer response

Hi, I apologize! my name is Brad Kreiss. I am the new General Manager. I am sorry we sold the car you wanted. We do sell alot on the internet and phone. We keep the car available until somebody agrees to buy it. I am glad you are happy with your new car. I hope you will give us another chance next time.

Dealer response

I apologize again. Please call me at 608-754-4418, anytime, if you want to discuss.

Consumer response

I will never step foot in your dealership again. I didn't appreciate being yelled at by your sales manager. In your response you didn't acknowledge the fact that your sales manager was in the wrong for his behavior. I am making sure that I am telling everyone to stay far away from your dealership.

I went to Rock County Honda because I have purchased from them in the past and they had a sale on a pre-owned vehicle that I was interested in. We test drove the vehicle and I wanted buy it, but we found that it had been damaged in the lot, so was told that because it was a pre-owned certified vehicle, they would have to repair it before they could sell it. I was advised I would hear back in a few days. I reached out several times and each time was told that management still hadn’t determined what was going on with the vehicle, but as soon as it was known, I would hear back. I let them know that I was very interested in the vehicle. I reached out again now, and was told the car had sold. No call, no check-in about the status as promised. Just screwed over. Very disappointed, as I was almost positive this was going to be the outcome from the start and was hoping I was wrong.

Hello Jeremy, Thank you for bringing this to our attention, though we are incredibly sorry for how this was handled. As a returning customer, you deserve the highest level of service, and we clearly fell short of that standard here. There was an internal communication breakdown regarding the vehicle's status and timeline, but that is no excuse for failing to keep you updated as promised. We dropped the ball, and we completely understand your disappointment. We value your loyalty and want to make this right. Please contact our General Sales Manager, Volkan Bulakbasi, directly at 608-607-3178 or [email protected] so, we can discuss this further and see how we can earn back your trust. Sincerely, The Team at Rock County Honda
