Went there with my family looking for a family car I honestly had an average experience nothing too great or nothing too bad but was suprised by the number of cars they had a lot but the problem is I didn't find the car that I want would recommend only if you looking for average cars

The sales lady was rude and felt like I was getting

The sales lady was rude and felt like I was getting interrogated. Went to look at two cars and she is like, these cars have a big price difference ($3 grand).... said i was going to take my kids to dinner and we would make a decision.. I got interrogated about where I was taking my kids to eat. Went down the street and found the same model, higher trim level, and less money... Skip Carmax when buying a car...

Purchase cars thier away happy with staff and serv

Bought 4 cars thier in 10 years they our best in sales and service staff the best service is out standing they care alot for customers

I should have read some of these reviews before going to this specific CarMax. Had I read them, I wouldn't have been so upset and shocked and stressed out from what happened during my visit. I was highly discriminated and profiled by this store, specifically by a manager who said his name is Nathan (wouldn't give his last name). He told me I can't afford the car I was interested in. Humiliated and embarrassed, I asked to be shown policy that prevents me from taking the car out. Nathan replied it's up to him and his discretion. So if you go there, be prepared to be profiled based on your physique, accent and the way you dress.

I terminated my MaxCare contract as I am selling the car...

I terminated my MaxCare contract as I am selling the car leaving USA back to Europe. I learnt that it takes at least 2 weeks to receive the check, and probably more. Logically, I would be in Europe by than. It seems that Carmax wants you to pay for a car and MaxCare immediately, but they keep your money for

This location has the worst communication I've ever...

This location has the worst communication I've ever experienced. From scheduling me to come in and pick up a car instead of delivering it to telling me my partner doesn't have to be there, to refusing to release the car when they arrived. To top that off, he agreed to come and sign, but they wouldn't wait the 40 minutes for his arrival. Then when I spoke with a manager I was informed that what I had to say wasn't even relevant. Worst customer service I have ever had. If I treated my customers that way, my company would fire me.

I waited for 3 hours to sell my car even with an...

I waited for 3 hours to sell my car even with an appraisal from a CarMax store. They kept pushing us back until we left, after a 3 hour wait. Terrible excuses and I suspect they did this intentionally. I will never use this business again. Zero customer service.

This was at the Schaumburg store in Illinois.

This location is a Joke

I got quoted 8K less than KKB fair value on 2019 model with 6K miles when I asked why they could not provide the explanation. Here is the kicker I sold them rusted Toyota with 70K miles and got 2K more over good condition KKB WOW!! I guess they love junk cars over prime merchandise. I guess if you got vehicle that nobody wants they are the top buyers!

Unethical dealer

It was fairly quick process when I sold my car. However, after finalizing the paper work, they didn't let me clean my car saying it was closing time and asked me to come next day. I still regret my decision of trusting them. When I went next day, I wasn't allowed to physically clean my car (per their policy which I wasn't told the day before) and someone from the staff brought my stuff off the car and guess what- my wife's sunglasses were missing!! I followed up with them multiple times however didn't get positive response let alone be the sunglasses. If you are selling car here, NEVER leave before you grab all your stuff from your car.
