Subject: Disappointing Experience with Vehicle Purchases

Subject: Disappointing Experience with Vehicle Purchases and Warranty Coverage Since 2020, I have purchased three vehicles from Sharpest Rides. My most recent acquisition was a 2015 Ford Edge, for which I also purchased a warranty. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Just two weeks after the purchase, the check engine light illuminated, and I noticed smoke emanating from under the hood. I promptly had the vehicle towed to a Ford dealership, where I was informed that the turbocharger was faulty. I contacted Lariat Warranty for coverage, but my claim was denied on the grounds that the age of the vehicle constituted a pre-existing condition. Subsequently, I had the vehicle towed to Next Gen, the service department affiliated with Sharpest Rides, where I incurred an $800 charge for the turbo replacement. I paid this amount for peace of mind, hoping it would resolve the issue. However, five months later, I began to hear a knocking sound from the engine. Once again, I took the vehicle to the Ford dealership, which diagnosed a bad turbo and a damaged gasket. I reached out to Lariat Warranty again, only to be informed that they would only cover the head gasket, leaving me to cover the repairs myself. Ultimately, I spent $3,800 on repairs. Just four months later, the engine block cracked. Once again, Lariat Warranty denied my claim, citing a pre-existing condition. Given these experiences, I will not be purchasing another vehicle from Sharpest Rides. I also advise potential customers to exercise caution regarding their warranty providers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Unsatisfactory with The Sharpest Rise First of all

Unsatisfactory with The Sharpest Rise First of all seller Sergio Torres unprofessional first week with the jeep. It broke down(not even a week). It was two weeks in the shop with NexGen. three months now the Jeep broke down again and it has already been one straight month on the shop. Day one my son and me went to The Sharpest Ride to get his first car with a 5,000 down payment. I cosign with him a with credit with 669 possible good. The seller never explained us nothing about the jeep. The only thing that he said that we were approved and that’s it. I don’t know because we were excited. We block ourselves until we were signing when we got to the part of signing of how many accidents that it had and explaining that if our seller went through all of that with us is when we realize that he never told us nothing and second when we got to the page of signing how much was gonna be in total we were like what! and the guy told us didn’t. Sergio went through this with you guys and we were like no he did not. I know that at the moment there were a few red flags in there, but we were excited. My son was happy because he was getting his first car so we sign another thing. The Sharpest Ride sold us a car that was not good to driver. My son only had the Jeep for a few days when it broke down the first time not even a week. Second time broke down. The car has been in shop. first week we did receive a phone call from next GEN. They’re always very friendly. She did tell us that they didn’t know exactly when was the car was gonna be fix second week I was calling and there was no response. Friday (second week) went to see sales manager to see if we were gonna get a car borrow cause my son needed his car to work and it was very hard for me to take him and bring him an Uber was so expensive. He gave me his word that on Monday with no exception he was gonna get a car whether they were gonna bring it to the house or to his work that just waited for his phone call I did told him should I rent a car and he said it again no wait for my phone call. He was very distracted, my personal opinion that he was not even a paying attention to me. Monday came ( third week ) and no phone call nothing. The third week, I was calling Franckie the customer care. I have no answers. I emailed them an to sales manager, and it says that the address was not found when I was calling to The Sharpest Ride. They would answer me and supposedly transfer me, but the phone was never pick up. Fourth week came again No answers no updates. I went personally and and ask for sales manager or someone above sales manager, but instead supposedly Franckie was the sales manager at that moment. I don’t know if they told him to have him speak to me he’s the mechanic ). He did say that it was already approved the warranty, but it was gonna take another week and a half, and he also said that I needed to pay a fee or something like that. They were gonna order already the parts that week and today that I called, he said a different thing that until I don’t give the approval of paying that amount and they were not gonna order the parts and I said why.(he said it really different thing last week.) This is unacceptable. How am I gonna pay something that we don’t even have to fall of it when Sharpest Ride sold me a bad car and my son is still paying for his insurance for his credit In vain. I really hope the shop and The Sharpest Ride get an agreement and fix my son’s car cause we trusted on you if we decided to go get a car in there is because we needed a car not just to be paying in vain in that case we could get a car in marketplace and it was gonna be in our risk if the car was gonna come OK or it was gonna come in a bad condition, but that was gonna be our problem. I asked to speak with the owner, but they said no, and I have seen in the reviews that the owner answers so I really hope this gets to be read and get this resolved. I really upset I don’t recommend The Sharpest Ride

I was sold a minivan that had a modified (lowered) suspension but I wasn't informed of the modification at time of purchase, and because the type of car is already somewhat low I didn't notice at the dealership. After driving it around for a day or two I became suspicious due to the rough ride and asked the salesman, but he said there wasn't any suspension work done to his knowledge. A shop confirmed my suspicion shortly after and it's costing 3.5k to restore to normal. I wish I had known before purchasing.

Julia was awesome!

Julia was awesome! We were unsure of what we could qualify for or what we wanted, but with her patience and understanding we found something that fit us and our budget. The finance team was super and got me a surprisingly great monthly payment. Will return for the next car!
