My recent car purchase was a total disaster.

My recent car purchase was a total disaster. After a confusing three-day ordeal, we lost the car we wanted, got a substitute without a test drive, and discovered the paid Paint Protection Film was never done. To top it off, the charging cable was missing. Stay away from this dealership!

Angry GM called police on customer

If you dress like you don’t have money, you will be looked down upon. I offered to purchase a car from Walser Toyota Bloomington by wiring money to pay in full from my bank. I signed all the necessary paperwork and wired the money the next day. I sent the bank wiring confirmation via text and email to the salesman Antonio and he confirmed for me to go pick up the car that day at 2:30 pm. When I arrived Antonio claimed he never received the emails or the texts I sent to him regarding my bank wiring confirmation number. I showed him our text and the emails I sent him but he laughed out loud that he never got them. He continued to mock me saying I couldn’t take the car because it was my fault for not sending him the bank wiring confirmation. We went back and forth for about 10 minutes of me showing him out text conversations and it escalated into a heated conversation. I raised my voice at him because the way he talked down on me made me looked like a lair. The general manager Greg heard me and stormed out toward me and my husband with an angry face ordering the salesman to call the police. I told Greg that since he called the police I will call TV News 5 because I I felt discriminated against. They looked down on us because I dressed down looking like I have no business to be in that showroom and my husband has long hair looking like a hippie. They got scared and didn’t call the police because they the want the news media but we lost interest so we no longer wanted the car. The general manger never apologize for his unprofessional conduct for ordering his salesman to call the police without knowing all the facts that his salesman was at fault. After they ordered us out, 10 minutes later after they reviewed the exchanged text and emails, they call us back to pick up the car but we lost interest so we didn’t buy the car. We lost two days of work and they lost $36k. We requested them to pay for the wiring transfer fee and our money back in full. They agreed so will see if we will get our money back soon.

We purchased a new vehicle from them in 2020.

We purchased a new vehicle from them in 2020. We were there to do the same with our daughter. Honestly, something has changed. We received inaccurate information, which came across as misleading. We had to repeat information on several occasions and in the end it was still incorrect. Then we got the you need to do this now sales approach. Lastly, we dealt with two different sales folks and in the weeds was a finance person, who apparently makes all decisions. Bottom line, very unprofessional and I would not recommend

I wanted to purchase a vehicle from this dealer but I'm

I wanted to purchase a vehicle from this dealer but I'm located 5 hours away so I called in the morning and talked to jorge. I attempted to make a down payment or even purchase the vehicle via wire transfer to hold the car but was told they could not "hold" it for me. The sales rep was too busy with another customer at that time and told me he'd call me back later to work out the details. Six hours passed with no call so I called back to see what was going on and talked to a different sales representative who informed me that the other rep left for the day. I asked if I could purchase the car again from this sales rep and he told me that wouldn't be possible because they were HOLDING it for someone else that was interested in it that afternoon. Funny, considering I was told that they can't "HOLD" anything, even if offering to prepay for the vehicle. I called again the following morning to check on the situation and was told that both sales reps were unavailable at the time. My advice to anyone reading this is to find what your looking for somewhere else. This dealerships sales representatives get the same commission regardless of what they sell so it does not matter who they get the money from and obviously are overpaid beings they didn't have time to accept a wire transfer for a purchase. I'm not listing the name of the other sales representative because he actually seemed apologetic about the situation. Walter Toyota may sell decent vehicles, but trying to buy anything from them is a chore. What ever happened to the days that you could give cash to someone for a product without worrying that it would be sold out from under you is beyond me.

Toyota, respectfully no

I called this dealership and was assigned a sales rep. I clearly stated my intentions: I wanted to test drive a 2024 Toyota Camry to compare it to the Honda Accord. The facility is large and impersonal. You are coraled like cattle into a large room with other buyers. I brought a friend. Despite saying clearing that I wasn’t interested in leasing, I kept hearing about leasing. When I interrupted as I was not interested, I was told I was being disrespectful and he felt I did not respect him. He had no concern for my time; we were there for 30 min, had not seen a car, had no idea how a Toyota compared. Once I finally got to test drive a car, the things he mentioned were the radio system and the spacious back seat, but nothing else. The test drive was 1 mile, no highway to see what the acceleration was which is my main concern. There was a loud noise which he could not hear as he was intently talking to my friend in efforts to ignore me. He told me to drive it into service, then seemed surprised that we went in service. This car has 3,691 miles and only a limited warranty was offered. Thank you Toyota, you confirmed that I should only stick with Honda! Sales person was better, sales process was better and cars don’t need maintenance on the test drive.

Service agents/personnels need training

I purchased my camry here. All went well, always happy with services until today. After the change oil and tire rotation, I handed over my Toyota rewards visa card and told Emily to please use the rewards available first then charge it to the card the remaining balance. Emily do not know how to run the transaction and I understand that not all of them knows how to. Previous experiences was the same issue and they always find somebody who knows how to do the transaction. Unfortunately this time nada! None of them knows. I ask for the manager on duty, another agent replied ; “he is here but I doubt that he can help, he wouldn’t know either!” , that was very reassuring! (Sarcasm) I even suggested that they can check my file and find out who helped me, coz he was able to complete the transaction and used my available rewards. Nobody was willing to find out or even call a customer service perhaps to find out! This was not the first time that i encounter this issue at Walser toyota Bloomington, how can they not train all the agents this particular process when it exist? I would have thought before toyota offered this kind of card they would inform their dealers and train them how to transact. Since this is not the first time, I assumed that they would raise the issue and do some training or perhaps post the step by step process of how to transact using rewards. I paid the whole amount and left very angry. I may just pay off the card and cancel it. I may just finish the prepaid oil change and tire rotation amount i have paid for and never come back after that. It was a very bad customer service.

HORRIBLE customer service

Horrible customer service. Went to test drive a vehicle and even had an appointment. Got there to find out the manager had taken the keys and given them to another customer at the same time as our appointment. They couldn’t find our salesman for 10 minutes. After waiting he came and apologized, but told us that the other customer was going to buy it.

Cars aren’t even in stock. Just false advertising saying they have them as a listing on here. You are better going elsewhere for a new car.

Darion, our sales associate at Walser Toyota Bloomington,

Darion, our sales associate at Walser Toyota Bloomington, went above and beyond for our family yesterday. We had purchased another vehicle about 5 weeks ago from their dealership. And due to our 4 year old son being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last week, and our family not currently having health insurance, the upcoming payments were sadly not going to be manageable for us. Darion drove to 2 separate dealerships, helped us review and test test drive 2 different vehicles, and got various members of their team to get involved to ensure we were getting into a nice, reliable and affordable vehicle, that we were getting a fair trade in value, and that we were getting a monthly payment that would be manageable for us with these life changing circumstances. His level of expertise, knowledge and compassion will not be forgotten by our family and we will return to him in the future for any vehicle purchasing needs. We would highly recommend Darion and the Walser Toyota Bloomington team to anyone looking to ensure you are being taken care of and being treated as a person based on your individual circumstances and not just some numbers an algorithm generates on a computer.

Pleased customer

I live in Sioux Falls and recently purchased a 2022 Toyota Highlander from Walser. I had never purchased a vehicle before that I had not seen or driven. Phillip Sosin walked me through the steps needed to complete this process in a very thorough and polite manner. Not being a (techie) I was worried but everything worked out. I couldn't be more pleased with the vehicle other than I have yet to figure out all of the electronics which my grand kids have been helping me do. Phillip was wonderful through this entire process, he answered all of my questions and was in constant communication, even after the sales letting me know the status of the title transaction. I would highly recommend Phillip to anyone looking for a vehicle at this location. Dan Pansch
