Car needed new engine plus! Unsafe to drive!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER! My husband was in a car accident totaling our car. I went to the dealership and offered them $17,500 for a car listed at $17,995. They accepted the offer if we would pay the taxes so we ended up paying just under $18,000 for a 2018 Hyundai Elantra with 64,000 and a clean car fax. We were advised that there was a recall out and that it was not a safety issue. The first day we got it, it stalled several times, once in the middle of the street with my husband and son in the car. We called them and they said the recall would fix that. We got the recall fixed within a couple days and while we were driving it, it went into "limp" mode where we couldn't accelerate and the check engine light kept flashing. Long story short, this car ended up needing a new sensor, two catalytic converters, and a new ENGINE. Hyundai covered most of it under warranty but would only cover half of the engine leaving us with a $2700 tab. I called 3400 and asked them to pay the difference since they sold me a vehicle that was unsafe to drive and lied to us about the condition. The owner offered me $500 and said we "would be fine and would now have a like new car". The fact that he assumed we could easily pay for it and would be "fine" was insulting. As is it, the new engine only has a 12 mo/12,000 mile warranty, so if anything happens to it, I don't know what we'll do. The owner explained how he lost money on the car selling it to me so "cheap" and that he was having financial trouble as well. I explained that they did not have to accept our offer, that the vehicle they sold us was unsafe and that my CHILDREN had been in the car! I was also told by the Hyundai dealership where it's being serviced that the issues were there well before we purchased the car. So, bottom line, 3400 sold us a car they likely new was unsafe to drive and let us put our kids in it (my kids were with us when we bought it). I don't know how anyone can do that and sleep at night. There were three separate occasions where something really bad could have happened as a result of driving this car. I have asked them for $2500 two days ago to pay for the half of the engine (not even the entire amount) and have yet to hear from them. We'll see if they do the right thing. The car has been in the shop longer than we've owned it. BEWARE, they have no qualms about lying to sell a car even if it means putting your kids in a death trap!

2007 Corvette pleasant experience

Was looking for a Corvette for my son, came to 3400 and they were incredibly pleasant. Allowed us to test drive car ourselves, we inspected it and made an offer. They countered with a fair offer splitting the difference and we made the deal. They were totally honest about what the car needed - and we have had no problems - the car is great and sound. Great dealership

Fantastic experience

Ira and Tony are just super pleasant to deal with. I needed a truck with very specific towing requirements and they answered all my questions. They even called Ford to confirm the capabilities of the truck. They price their vehicles very competitively and make the whole car buying experience a pleasure.

Great Dealership

Very relaxed feel. Asked about a couple cars was able to drive them all. Asked for the price on the one we liked, it was very reasonable. After getting the car home we found a couple problems asked them about it and they fixed it right away. Would definitely go back for my next car.

Great cars and Customer service

Customer service is great, cars are great... most are just like new. Buying is simple and easy. They always work with you even if you have credit issues, they'll still get you in a car. I've reffered two people so far and they both left with great cars. I will be sending more.

Proper Treatment and Care

Purchased a used car in June 2016 from Ira, Tony, and the team. Great shopping experience. The gentlemen were and are honest with extremely low pressure. Highly recommend 3400 Auto Sales & Service for anyone interested in purchasing a vehicle.

Great experience, helpful and pleasing 5 stars

I purchased a few cars from them one for my daughter one for my wife and one for my self . Each time I had a very pleasant and helpful experience. Mr. Tony was very honest in giving excellent suggestions and each time made it much easier for us to select and chose a good car at extremely affordable and very competitive price which was lesser than quite a few dealers.. To top it all they have a wonderful and very efficient after sales service, for all my maintenance needs. I would very strongly and gladly recommend him to all my friend. Certainly a five star service.

Bought used car, but didn't expect hefty bills.

I bought a truck a few weeks ago. I know it's a used car lot. But, having spent $800 to fix the A/C unit, plus having major transmission issues, I am in deep on a financed used car. Would never buy from again.
