Local friendly service

This is the best dealership in the area. All the sales staff are very friendly and easy going. I had the pleasure of working with Ryan. There was no pressure and I really felt like he was there to help me get the right car I wanted and that would be best for me. The only issue I had was it felt like I spent the whole day there even after I found the car. These are some great people and they are there to help. This in the only dealership I'll go to anymore!

Above and beyond service!

My husband and I were looking to buy a new Traverse and found one we wanted online at this car lot. I was 9 months pregnant and we live in Iowa and saw that they delivered to different states for free so we gave them a call. Through the week we worked with them through the process of buying the new Traverse and trading our car in to them. We had delivery set up for that Friday morning and as luck would have it, I went in to labor early that Friday morning as well. They called us and were in our town ready to deliver the new Traverse. My husband informed them that we were in the hospital about 15 minutes away so they drove the Traverse there for us. We got all the paperwork taken care of and made the swap while I was in labor! The next day the dealership had flowers delivered to the hospital congratulating us on our new baby! That was the best gesture and was above and beyond any expectations we had of them! This will definitely make us look to them for future vehicle purchases!!

Going down hill

Ever since the Chevrolet dealer in Glenwood has moved to the top of the hill, their quality service seems to being going down the hill. I bought a brand new car from them in their old location, and had the oil changes done there as well, and everything was great. Staff was always friendly, and the quality of the service was always excellent, never skimping on detail. The last time I brought my car in for its regular maintenance, I also requested a tire be patched. I get the car back, the tire was patched, but they didn't even bother to fill the tire to the correct pressure. Filling the tires use to be a common service that was done during an oil change, now they barely clean the area of their work space in your vehicle. The past 3 oil changes I have gotten there they didn't even have a details sheet on what they did in their routine oil change for me. Which tells you, the oil brand, if a filter was put in, if they checked the tires (what pressure it was at, then what they were filled too), etc... I use to tell everyone I knew to go to them for service, cause you couldn't beat the service they provided for only $16. Now the price is the same, but the service is less than I'd expect even for a low price. They have an attempt at customer appreciation, but its only one customer per household. They don't care if you buy a brand new car off their lot, if someone else in your household even goes to them for oil changes(even if it was one time, 10 years ago), you are no longer eligible for their customer appreciation deals. You still get the standard Chevy customer deals, but nothing that's exclusive to Marthaler. They are the only dealer in town and they know it, they like have the advantage and are slowly exploiting it. I hope this review finds them and they are able to address issues I have pointed out. I would like nothing more to be able to bring my car into them for routine services again with out having any problems.

Hi Joe, I'm sorry to hear of your poor experiences here lately. I have addressed this concern to all departments of our dealership, and action is being taken. We don't blame you for being upset, and want you to come in any time to see the change in attitude and work ethic as addressed. Did not answer my questions.

I found a car I was very interested in, but it said it had hail damage. I asked how much, and the answer I rec'd was "not as bad as some". That is really no answer at all. Later, I rec'd another email asking if there was anything more they could do for me. I said sure - answer my question or send photos of the hail damage. No reply AT ALL. I was not going to drive 250 miles to look at a hail damaged car when I had no clue as to the amount of damage. (Please note - I bought a hail damaged vehicle from another dealer. There were 4 dings.) Perhaps if Marthaler had responded to my questions, I would have considered making the drive. I do not appreciate vague answers, and am not sure what is worse - vague answers or no reply at all.

That's nice to hear! We realize that for most people, a vehicle is the 2nd most expensive investment they'll make (after a home)... we feel that you should take your time and make sure that you are getting exactly what you were looking for. You'll be more satisfied down the road.

Oil change

We bought our car when it was still called Schwieters. That was back in 2004. I brought the car in for an oil change and the customer service is still TOP NOTCH! Everyone there is very friendly and helpful! I will continue to bring my vehicles there for service.

On Top of Everything

I was looking to buy a different vehicle and went onto Cars.com. While searching I came across a vehicle at Marthaler Chevy in Glenwood. It was after hours and I sent a note saying I was interested in a vehicle they had there, it was no more than 20 min and someone from Marthaler Chevy got back to me. It was Dave,I asked him to call might right away in the morning and he did and said that the vehicle was still available. Me and my wife went there and they were very profesional, helpful and with a great attitude. Dave answered all of our question and explained everything to us and sold us the vehicle. Actually this is the second vehical we bought from there.
