Bought a 2010 Subaru Forester for my daughter as a replacement car after a nightmare Jeep Liberty. First, car came with inky 1 key, no FOB, which set off the alarm every time door was opened. After much haggling, Jimi agreed to pay for the FOB but not the programming...Next, 2 weeks after taking possession of the car, a bit of shimmy in the front end when braking so took the car to Subaru thinking it needed brakes-car actually has bad struts, leaking control arm bushings, was 1000 miles overdue for an oil change...total bill $ 2121.07...Jimi offered $500 and the warranty he sold me wouldn’t cover any of it. He admits he knows nothing about cars but that “his mechanic” could do the job for about 1/3 the price, probably the same mechanic who said the car was a safe, quality car! To top it off, he tried to tell me that my daughter must have hit a pothole and that’s what caused the damage...lesson - don’t buy a car from this dealer!

Dangerous mentality
WARNING: CONSUMER PROTECTION RANT: So I have bought a few cars from The Trade Zone on Route 31 over the years so when my son saw a truck on their lot for a good price I was confident that we would be treated right and with respect due a repeat customer. I did not haggle with the price, it was a fair deal and as a contractor I don't like bickering over penny's when the service is better than the other guys. Well fast forward 3 week and my son gets into an accident. He rear ended someone. I immediately figured he was not paying attention and was ticked off because he just got it and honestly my insurance rate would be affected. He took it to a local shop for a scheduled once over. This is what we discovered and documented. The Rear brakes were missing parts aka hardware so they were in fact inoperable. My son was lucky he was not traveling on the highways or towing his welder or one of my trailers. I went back to the Trade Zone thinking I can reason this out and discuss this like adults to resolve it. After all I am a multi car repeat customer. The freaking sales guy Jimmy was a complete buffoon and mocked me the entire time I was there . I remained calm and and explained that I felt that they should never have let that truck off the lot without doing a safety check. We are talking a Dodge 3500 dually here. He said and I quote " I can't put new brakes on every vehicle on this lot.... There must be 3 or 4 cars out there with bad brakes" I asked if they do safety checks and his answer was NO. Let me repeat that. THE TRADE ZONE AUTO SALES ON ROUTE 31 SOUTH DOES NOT DO BASIC SAFETY INSPECTIONS ON THEIR VEHICLES. So this sales guy Jimmy is willing to throw away a repeat customer over a $300 brake job after placing my kid and anyone driving in front of him in danger. I believe the legal term is negligence. SEE you in court Jimmy

STAY FAR AWAY!
The buying process was wonderful! UNTIL YOU LEAVE THE LOT. I BOUGHT THE LEMON FROM H**L. Thousands of dollars dumped into it, in under 1 month. Nothing is covered under the horrible warranty program. Everything has fallen apart, that is NOT covered! LIVE AND LEARN, DON'T BUY FROM A USED CAR LOT!

Bring a mechanic
Look very closely at any vehicle on this lot, better yet, bring a mechanic or insist you have it checked out. Too many vehicles with issues.

nice truck
I was looking for a small pickup with a plow. Trade Zone had a ford ranger in good condition, repairs were made and they showed me what was done. Nothing hidden, and a reasonable price for a hard to find truck. Would buy from again.

Good experience
They went above and beyond to get me approved. My credit was really not so hot but with a certain amount down they were able to find a lender within a day. ABS light came on a week after purchasing the vehicle and they fixed it without any questions. No headaches.

Happy with the experience
Got a great deal, bought a 2003 pickup for my son at near a wholesale price. These guys are fair and patient. It took me 2 weeks to pick up the truck and they had no problem with it.

Satisfied Customer
I went to six different dealerships before stopping at trade zone. I got a better cleaner car than I had seen at any of the other dealers and it was priced well under what I had seen elsewhere. Rich was motivated and dropped the price even further, it seems like they are really trying to earn your business which was refreshing to say the least. For me it was all about price, and they are willing to work with you.

Simple buying process, Good quality vehicle
I purchased a 2008 Ford Explorer from Trade Zone in Hampton NJ. Everything went quickly and smoothly and the salesman was pleasant. He answered all my questions and got me approved in less than 30 minutes for financing. I left with the vehicle the same day. They did negotiate with me on price which was huge for me. Overall a very easy process and I'll be coming back in the future.
