From other reviews it seems this is a great place to buy a car, but as a long distance shopper, this was not my experience. I wanted a relatively rare... vehicle configuration that was not available from my local dealers, so I was searching in a 500 mile radius. After receiving a response that a vehicle that they listed online was available, I asked for a photo of the actual sticker and their best price. I was directed to a non-existent web address to view the sticker and was told that because I was out of state it would be impossible to quote a price to me. I was persistent and got what I asked for, only to find that I had wasted my time and their internet price was as low as I might get if I qualified for all incentives. It is obviously unwillingness to negotiate as I had already received quotes from other dealers for nearly identical configurations, MSRP's and advertised prices who were offering me $3-4K in discounts. Trecek Auto should realize that the internet is not a fad and they could learn a lot from other dealers who are happy to deal with customers from all over the country.
We had a wonderful experience purchasing our vehicle from Trecek Automotive! One Saturday morning my husband and I were in Portage and had some extra time,... so we decided to stop by to test drive a few trucks. Over the past few months we had narrowed it down to two different trucks styles that we were interested in. The test drives were going to help us to make the decision for when we were ready to purchase in a few months. Kipp was the one to assist us. His body language and no sales gimmick's is what kept us there that day. If there had been any pressure or "salesman talk", we would've walked away before even doing the test drive. To be honest we would have walked away anytime throughout the process since we were in no hurry to buy. Kipp gave us our space but yet was there to answer any of my MANY MANY questions. We ended up purchasing the truck about a week later at a price we felt very comfortable with. Before leaving the dealership that day, Eric was there to make sure we knew how to use all the features offered and help us to get our Onstar set up properly. We left that day knowing without a doubt that we made a great decision! Everyone in the dealership was very professional and friendly. Since that day, we have been and will continue to recommend them. Thank you so much Kipp and Eric for making what can be a very stressful time a pleasant one!
My Silverado started losing power while traveling from Illinois to Wausau last Friday night. Called Trecek in the morning. Got me in but were booked... up and told me they couldn't probably look at my truck until Tuesday. Dropped it off and secured other transportation. While driving back to Illinois on Monday, got a call from Trecek. My truck was done. They had a cancellation and were able to bump me up and get it fixed (they knew I'd be passing by on my way home on Monday). So I was able to return the other car and not have to make another trip back up to pick up my truck. The repair was good, and they coordinated all with my warranty company as well. Travis in the service department was great.

I found a Chevy Equinox that I really wanted to purchase but this car dealership is about 3.5 hours from my home. I spoke with Kip and he advised me they... are not willing to negotiate on pricing. The price was firm. The next week they lowered the price. So once again I got in contact with Kip. He basically told me again they will not lower the price. I found one in my area that was newer with a few more miles on it for a cheaper price. They STILL were not willing to negotiate. Then he proceeded to email me telling me he will take my email off the updates for the vehicle. Apparently Kip doesn't want to sell this car. The professionalism is lacking and I am very appalled by his emails and poor customer service.

So I made an appointment a few days in advance for my brand new car to get its first oil change and I filled out the service app online and I pressed contact... by phone if any changes and when I showed up I was told that I was emailed about my appointment being changed to next week. So I asked if there was a sooner time. They told me it would be at least I week so I ended up going to a different dealership to get my service done that same day. I understand trecek is a small company but I feel I did not get the best service I possibly could. They were friendly enough but there were people just standing around and got my appointment wrong. So that is the reason for my rating. Hope to see an improvement but as of now I will be going to a different dealership.

Very nice people, did what I expected, great follow thru, after purchase took at least an hour to go thru the vehicle and all the options, were not distracted... stayed with me all the time, vehicle was ready as the said it would. This was a used vehicle
