Satisfied customer

Wonderful people! I am in the beginning process for looking for a used vehicle and this dealership is definitely worth the stop! Joe knows his stock, can find a vehicle for you, and extremely pleasant to work with. I will be buying from here!! And will recommend them to anyone looking for a used car. Much easier and friendlier than the big dealerships I've dealt with in the past.

Thanks, Preferred!

Wanting to "down size" cars, a friend led me to Preferred Used Cars in Fairfield to look over their inventory. And, there it was. My littlr Mercedes convertible at a price I could afford. the sales staff made the trade-in and sale quick and easy. I was so impressed, my son bought his son his first car there and my son-in-law bought a car for his business. But the sale didn't end there as they are prepared to meet ant service or maintance needs we may have, tune ups, etc. My theory of buying local and from a family owned business was realized once again! My family thanks your family!

Beware!

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS 'LOT ROT'! DO NO LET THEM TELL YOU THIS! Multiple mechanics have explained to me that if there's 'lot rot' it's permanent and won't just fix itself by being driven. Bought a Lexus that seemed to be in great shape EXCEPT for a vibration that occurred at certain speeds. The salesmen felt it also and agreed to put in the Due Bill that if it did not 'go away' (called it 'lot rot'?) after driving it for a few days that they would fix it. Didn't go away, so took it to Midas where they finally found a bent rim. Dealership said they only could fix the 'tires' and that the rims weren't their problem - even though they agreed to fix the 'vibration' in general. After a lot of complaining and back and forth, got them to have 'their guy fix it'. All they did was add weight to 'balance' it so that the vibration was barely lessened and just occurred at different speeds. Took it to a rim repair shop and they discovered that all 4 rims were bent (some worse than others) and that others had weights added to them also. Cost me +$1000 total for inspections, replacing the really bad rim, and repairing the other 3. Wasted my time and money even trying to have the dealership 'take care of it' like they promised. They seem very personable and like they will help you out but switched on me when I ran into problems. Then tried to convince me to bring it back for maintenance in the future. HA! Thank goodness I still love the car, just think it's messed up that I called the vibration a problem from the get-go and ultimately got the run-around and NO real help from them. Get EVERYTHING in the Due Bill and IN YOUR OWN WORDS. They worded things just right so that they wouldn't have to be liable for the actual problem.

Preferred used cars: Had the customer originally brought the vehicle back to our service center as agreed in writing per her due bill, the problem would have been resolved with no cost to her. The customer instead took the vehicle to a Midas muffler shop for an opinion. when she finally brought the car to Preferred used cars, we sent her 1 bent rim to a professional wheel repair shop to be fixed and gave the customer a copy of the bill for the repair. All tires were then balanced which does require wheel weights to be added on the rim. The car was returned to the customer with no further vibration at no cost to the customer.

Please call us to discuss your complaint. If you are out of state what test drive policy are you talking about?

no test drives allowed!

I found a couple of cars online I was interested in and went in to check them out. After telling the salesman Jesse that I was undecided but wanted to drive each of the two vehicles, he tells me no! He says they prefer the customer to focus in on only one vehicle! Are you kidding me? How can I decide between cars if I can't compare by driving them? Not sure how these guys are in business.

The only time we decline test drives are on our high performance vehicles. We make sure every customer drives a car before they buy it.
