Grant did a great job of helping my family find my car. He was very thorough in helping me find the car I wanted. I would recommend him and the Team Toyota group to anyone looking for a car.

What a scam, Oct. 10, I ordered a new 2022 Toyota rav4 le, was told it arrived Nov. 11. When I arrived it was a 2023, I got mad and told them to return my $500 deposit. Don't ask for sale consultant M.J wasted my time and Fuel. I have all the Proof they tried to pull a fast one, never again.

Ordered a van and other than the wait for the build , the service was great . Edna was awesome with keeping me updated . Everyone from Trey the general manager to the finance people were so friendly. I feel everyone took the time to educate me on the new vehicle . Great experience !!!
I bought few cars from this dealership .
I bought few cars from this dealership . Most of the staffs are nice but the finance person was elusive trying to trick and didn’t want openly discuss the total cost of the car. He hid the total cost of the car except the monthly payment He makes you sign on the screen without allowing you to read on theand print the document without gives you the chance to go throw the total cost Also he did not when the payment due which was very strange . He boasted of being Italian which I speak very fluent. He doesn’t even I am not Italian. He is bonus hungry crazy person who gets angry because I declined $3400 extended warranty that I have to pay $250 in additional of that Over all the dealership has not improved from my previous purchase experiences. It needs more training how to treat the customers The 2019 I bought for 25000 with finance 31000 Does not have floor mates on the floor Also missed the manual guide It was not detailed and for that price they have not done their home work. We bought because we only drive Toyota My sale person MJ nice person even though he doesn’t have any authority The finance guy was happy until we declined what he wanted to sale for us. Also lacks of customers respect and he could be too complicit to certain ethnicity
Consistent and Pleasant Experience
I knew I needed to get a car so I went in the website and chatted with Sales Representative Monte about any new car availability. They had a few so scheduled an appointment: I arrived at appointment to test drive and Monte was there to show me features and then test drive. Upon return, Monte was very professional, friendly and explained terms of acquiring a new car. And I did buy the car and though out the process Monte answered questions and provided information about features. This is the second time I have bought from Toyota of Merrillville and glad I returned again.
We are happy to have you as part of the Toyota of Merrillville Family! Thank you for the positive review.
Bad deal
I bought a used car and the transmission went out in 2 weeks. They did not disclosed this! The car was $7500 and they added $299 for theft protection which I already have covered with my insurance! They would not take it off. I drove down the street parked at costcos and came out to find a flat tire. Would never recommend this dealership. Go somewhere where they are honest. Where do I get $3000 to replace my transmission

I had bought three Toyotas from the Toyota Highland and for the 4th they were my natural choice. But as we all know, we’re in a different time where the choices are limited or nonexistent. So, I had to go to Toyota Merrillville for my fourth new Toyota – and thanks God I did! My Sales Associate was Mitch Mathis, and he gave me the very best experience that I ever had in any dealership, ever. I have bought seven new cars in four dealerships in the last two decades; however, I have never met one such as Mr. Mathis, who goes above and beyond to make his customers happy. He personally did all the necessary basic settings for the car and took time to explain all the features. He had so much patience during the process that he was satisfied only when I was. He also provided me excellent personalized service in ordering and delivering parts after I purchased the car. He offered to install the weather mats for me. I also had pleasant experience dealing with the Finance Manager who simply gave me the facts to make my decisions without putting any pressure on me. My ‘new car buying’ experience was so pleasing that for future Toyotas I will definitely go back to them so long Mr. Mathis works there!
Welcome to the Toyota of Merrillville Family! We are thrilled to hear about your positive car-buying experience with us. Thank you for taking the time share it with us.
You deserve it. Keep Mr. Mathis at your dealership at any cost.
Great service department!
In my experience the service department here is very responsive, competent & ethical (not always my experience w Chicago area new car dealerships)! I particularly appreciate the treatment I received yesterday from service advisor Chad. He scheduled me immediately for some necessary minor repairs and then took the time to look over my recently purchased 2018 RAV4 and gave excellent advice! I'll be back again!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us with a positive review! We always enjoy hearing good things from our customers.
Would never buy from or recommend Toyota of Merrillville...
Would never buy from or recommend Toyota of Merrillville to anyone. The only thing we were happy about was our salesman Mitch. He was very helpful and friendly during the buying process and he was really the only helpful one during the ensuing nightmare. About two weeks or so after purchasing the car it started to have engine issues so we made an appointment to have it seen by the service department (we had purchased the full warranty) and a few minutes after we dropped it off we received a call from Dan in the service department saying there was “nothing he could do for us because the check engine light wasn’t on”. Huh?!?! My husband explained that we have the full warranty so why can’t they even look at it and Dan told him “I didn’t sell you the warranty, buddy.” So needless to say we were confused and angry by all of this so we went right back and spoke with our salesman Mitch who spoke with Dan and told him to at least drive it so he could feel for himself what the car was doing. After doing that it’s agreed that something is definitely wrong and they think it might be the transmission. We are told it will take about 2-3 days to fix. Fast forward to about the FIFTH day or so the car is still not ready, we’re about to go out of town on a pre-planned trip so we tell them we need a loaner in the meantime. So we go back and talk with Mitch again and we just want the truth about what is really going on. We’re told our car had to be sent to a Ford dealer to get fixed and when I ask where Mitch didn’t know (which is fine since he’s not in the service department). So he goes to the Service Manager who during this whole debacle apparently couldn’t even be bothered to come out and speak with us or to even speak on the phone. We are then told that it will take about a week and they will give us a loaner to use until our car is ready. At that time Dan from the Service Department does apologize to my husband for their previous interaction which we appreciated. Fast forward to THREE WEEKS without our car and us having to reach out to get any information on the status, we finally called the Ford dealership to get an update and they tell us they were behind which I understand) and they also waited TWO DAYS for approval from Toyota of Merrillville to order more parts! We finally get our car back this past Wednesday and it’s fixed (hopefully…the check engine light randomly came on this evening 🙄). It is returned to us in filthy condition on the exterior and very little gas in it. It definitely had more when we dropped it off. No one should be treated this way.
We are truly sorry that we missed the mark with your experience. Our Service Manager tried to reach out to you to help remedy this situation. To discuss further, please contact our Service Manager, Bryan Dypkowski at (219) 947-3325.
