    I have never been so disgusted with a sales department at any establishment for any type of service as I have been with Bertera Subaru of Hartford. Was... told the detailing department had gone home for the day and I could just call and schedule a detailing at a later date... no call back. Two weeks to get my registration so I, myself, could finally pay for the inspection. 23 days after the purchase, the side view mirror button dropped into the door panel and I was told the service department will call me back on how much that would cost me... cost me! Not the service you want when purchasing ANY vehicle and they would never let a friend or even foe purchase a vehicle from any Bertera. They sent me a check to reimburse me for the cost of an inspection plus a little extra that I will not be cashing. Shame when my last purchase was at West Springfield and the service was spectacular. Won’t be going back to either ever again

    Sorry for your poor impression, not our intention certainly... you are important to us as a customer, and as such we take full blame if we didn't com...municate what we meant by "come in and we can see what it may cost" a bit better... our apologies Also, we are sorry that due to the year and mileage being over 110k on your vehicle of choice, that the vehicle , while through the shop and all safety items working per state of CT standards, we are unable to warranty it and clearly declared it "as is" both on the window buyers guide outside in the car, as well as in writing to you at time of sale and delivery... also we do have you signing off declining the extended warranty our affiliate, Zurich, offered on the car you could have elected to avoid the as is status... Again, we don't want you unhappy, so we intended to and will still offer to diagnose the issue up to 1 hour at no charge (a $125 savings) and depending on the issue, either repair complimentary (if inexpensive as a courtesy) or offer you a discount depending on cost... but we would need to see the vehicle first... which is what we meant by "bring in and we can see what it cost", which obviously could have been worded better... please reach out to myself, john ext 19100 or my service mgr nick x19400 if you'd like us to look at it as described above... either way wish u a great experience with your Nissan sir...

    I warn you against doing business with these people. They are dishonest and immoral! They will tell you one price to get you there then not honor that... price. They will lie to your face. They will charge you more if you want to pay cash for your car, after a price has been settled upon. They will try to get you to promise not to leave bad reviews. They will use high pressure tactics to try to sell you bogus add ons. They will falsify milage reports and cafax reports! This last claim is true and really bad. I can't believe they did this. Do not buy from these people if you have a chance. The finance guy is a game show like huckster trying to get you to buy extra protections that consumer reports says are not a good deal. Stay away

    I know that the title sounds corny, but in the spirit of the Thanksgiving season I wanted to say thanks to the guy who helped me buy my first car. I was... referred to Rich Self at Bertera Subaru by my boyfriend's mom because she knew I was looking for a car, and Rich helped me buy my first car. I was kinda nervous when I got there but Rich made me feel right at home. I love my new car (well new to me) and I loved the experience I had at Bertera. Thank you so much!!

    I took my subaru in to perform a safety recall on the passenger side airbag. They completed the service and gave me a loaner for the day. This part of... the process was simple, easy, and customer service oriented. However, when i received a phone call from a Service Center employee. I was told that they found a few issues during their routine inspection. I was told that the drive belt was cracking and was in need of replacement. I was quoted just over $300.00 dollars to perform this service. I declined the service. When I inspected the drive belt I found it to be in perfect working order. There were no cracks, fluid, or any other sign of a close to failing drive belt. I could even still read the part number on the belt. So, I was lied to. The part did not need to be changed. Further, based on the condition of the bolts holding the belt cover in place it is extremely unlikely that they even checked the drive belt, or many of the other parts they claim in their routine inspection. Fortunately I am proficient enough with my vehicle to double check against their claims but I know many people who are not and would have paid out a good chunk of change for a repair which was unnecessary. it is safe to say that I will not be returning to Bertera Subaru Hartford as a customer in any capacity; service, sales, nor parts.

    I was very fortunate to have Dan Leary assisting me in the purchase of my 2020 Outback. He was so caring and interested in making sure I had a good car-buying... experience. He went way out of his way to take good care of me and make sure I was able to accomplish everything I needed to do to smooth this transaction. I highly recommend Dan!

    Bought a vehicle they said I was going to have free tires for lifetime that did not happen, they supposed to service my car before I get it they didn't... change oil and filter have to do it on my own, I checked the oil wasn't as for a car from the dealer, every time I call they give me the runaround with the tire for life deal, so end up buying my own tires, not satisfied with all promise they offered at time of buying and then didn't back up there deals of tires for life...

    I bought my Subaru in 2016 and was told that, Tires for life program was supposed to be free as long you got the car serviced by Bertera. I got the car... serviced as per their terms and when I was due for the tire change. they told me that only $600.00 is what you are elgibile for and the Tires price was something like 968.00. I ended up paying extra for tires in addition to the mounting and alignment charges. At the time you purchase the car, It was never written that you are eligible for only $600.00 (max). Beware. I worked with Antony in the Service department and let him know that it was not right. He did not bother to address and said these are the terms and conditions. I am looking to buy another subaru for my child. I will definitely not go here as everything is hidden and the truth is not spoken upfront.

    Hari,Thanks for the feedback, and we are very sorry you feel the way you do, and we will speak to Anthony about possibly better explanations for the f...uture. We Strive to be as transparent as possible about the FREE tire policy we purchase for all of our eligible customer. We have full size posters displayed in the service drive, waiting area, the lounge, the showroom and all 3 of the vehicle delivery offices highlighting the reimbursement amounts and other points of importance... In addition we go over the policy purchased on their behalf with every customer at delivery of their vehicle, then after asking if they have any questions have them sign the form, and give them a copy to refer to later should they choose to... (Realizing there is a lot to go over/remember at delivery of the new car, is why we also display the full size posters all over as indicated above) Also of note, we think the program is an extremely good value, which is why we have provided it for so long. Try to think of another business you do business with regularly that will reimburse you 30,40 or even 50% of the money you spend with them on service over a few years back to you in the form of up to $600 toward free products? (most people spend on avg. between $1200-$1900 on service during the time it takes to need new tires under the program, then get up to $600 back toward the tires from that money spend in service?) Also, fyi, you are not required to purchase the original tires, you could select tires that only cost $600 in many cases, then only needing to cover mounting etc...That said, we apologize somehow you feel differently, or we failed you somewhere along the way in assuring proper understanding of the program, so with that in mind please feel free to reach out to nick dean, our service manager, directly at ext 19400, and we'd be happy to see if we can help in some way.     I bought my car from bertera 3 years ago.since then I am having problems such as sound coming from the front, airbag sign being on and off. The service... specialists say they can not find what is wrong with the car. They charge tremendous amount of money for maintenance!!! their tires for life is bogus.
