Recall Info
On 11 May 2019 my F-150 had the check engine and wrench icon come on and it went into limp home mode. Took it to San Tan Ford for repair. It was determined that the lead frame assembly needed to be replaced. A week later I got a letter from Ford Motor Company indicating that my F-150 may develop the problem as described above. This is the second recall for this part. The first was for a computer reprogramming, which I had done. It also stated that if I had already had the repair done to return to the dealership for a refund. I took it back and was told that I couldn't get a refund because a "code" didn't match. I called Ford and was told I had to deal with the dealership. I don't understand how I don't qualify since the the problem I had and the part that was replaced is exactly what the letter from Ford stated. I have been a Ford customer all my life and have been looking to buy a new F-250 diesel. It won't be from San Tan Ford and it will not be a Ford. Chevy has a 2500 series that will do the job just fine. Ford obviously does not appreciate customer loyalty. Ford owners beware!!!
