Super F350

I purchased my 5th (Diesel) SuperDuty Ford recently. This latest truck was provided Haldeman Ford and the process was better than any of my past experiences. The Sales Rep (Howard) was patient, professional and knowledgeable. The dealer pricing was fair and the service was outstanding. I've also bought two other vehicles from them and they have also been a SUPER experience.

I've bought many new and certified vehicles in my life and I've come to learn that it is just as important to read dealership reviews as it is car reviews. I moved around the corner from Haldemann Ford in East Windsor and needed to trade in my Honda sedan for a 3 row SUV for a family member's easier access and the birth of a new grandchild. I decided on Haldemann Ford because I've owned several Ford and Mercury vehicles and had only good, reliable experiences. I decided to shop this dealership first because of their reviews and inventory, but mostly their reviews and word of mouth from a trusted coworker. I was not in a hurry to buy and shopped a lot online. When I finally decided there were a couple vehicles I wanted to check out, I went in and was routed to salesman Howard Salmon. He listened to my shopping needs and without pressure guided me to the vehicles I was interested in, let me ask questions which he patiently and truthfully answered, recommended a vehicle that met my needs and was in my desired price range but did not pressure me when I turned it down in favor of a different one of the same model that was a few thousand above my range. I did my due diligence with regard to features and pricing and without any spin or major strife, Howard got me into the vehicle I wanted at the price I wanted. No mind games or power play between us. Just pure honesty and his desire to help me get what I wanted and needed. Now for the part I stress over the most...dealing with the finance guy. Pleasant, no pressure and stress-free and I was able to add the bumper to bumper extended warranty and remain within my price range and finance term. The added bonus is knowing they are right around the corner when I want my car serviced. This was among the best car-buying experiences I've had in 40 years of car buying. I've had the Explorer a few months and i'm still as happy as the day I bought it.


Avoid used sales

Absolutely terrible. They lied about the price of the truck multiple times. And they failed to mention on the ad the repairs that would be required of them. As we sat down to make the deal they raised the price from 19750 to over 20500! Avoid at all costs.


Return parts

We had to return some complicated items and they were very nice friendly and professional. Because of the pandemic we were way beyond the 30 day return policy but they took them back anyway and gave us the credit we were owed.


Great Transaction

Great Van with a great price. Salesperson was not pushy. He went at our pace even though there were incentives to purchase by a certain time.


Certified vehicle reeked of Cigarette smoke

Haldeman Ford sold me a Certified Preowned truck in which they masked a strong odor of cigarette smoke, and clearly had not performed the 172 point certified checklist. I don't live in the area of Haldeman Ford so I made an appointment to view the truck to ensure it was still available before I made the drive to their dealership. Giving them advance notice that I was coming was my first mistake. When I arrived the truck smelled great. I didn't think much of it because I assumed the carpets had just been shampooed as part of normal cleaning. I purchased the truck and by the time I got it home the cigarette odor was already apparent. I called Haldeman first thing the next morning and was assured they would get the odor out or they would swap it out for a comparable truck. Over the course of several weeks I gave them three opportunities to deodorize the truck, none of which worked. I was hopeful it would work because I did like the truck. When I tried to exercise my option of swapping it out for another vehicle, they offered me a truck that had a lower value, higher miles, and in a color I did not want. They had two or three other trucks that were truly comparable to the one I had first purchased, but they weren't willing to budge on their full blown markups, AND reduced the value of my truck by $1500. So the swap wasn't truly a swap, it was an opportunity for them to make another sale and make more profit from me. In addition to the cigarette smoke, there were also items that made it clear they had not performed the Ford Certified Preowned 172 point inspection. The cabin air filter was absolutely disgusting (#114), the engine coolant was well below the minimum level (#90), the washer fluid was empty (#97), the windshield wipers were worn out (#33), and one window wouldn't go down beyond the halfway point (#79). An odor free interior is also on the checklist (#64). Management was also poor. I would estimate on average it took five phone calls over several days to get JR, the General Manager, to call me back. Despite assuring me he was personally going to help resolve the matter, he often passed me off to Ken, the Sales Manager, who couldn't have been any less helpful... I was better off speaking to the salesperson. When things reached the point where they were giving me prices on trucks HIGHER than they were listed on their own website and I could see we were going nowhere, as a last resort I attempted to speak to Scott Haldeman, the President of the dealership, but he refused to speak to me. In the end I traded the truck to another dealer and lost thousands of dollars. Needless to say, I strongly urge all consumers to stay away from Haldeman Ford.

Good Service

The team there was good. They worked with me and kept me informed of all the moving parts during the process. The salesman was not pushy, the internet manager followed up even afterwards. The other salespeople were very kind to my children when we were there. However, we were not able to come to an agreement due to the amount owed on my truck. No hard feelings, it is what it is. We tried, they tried. Just didn’t work out. But overall good team and good people.

The whole team and especially Jeff Turrisi was great to us. They were very patient and heard our unique situation and needs and were never pushy. Definitely didn’t feel rushed and we actually ended up coming back to Jeff and Haldeman after seeing some competing cars and even better prices. Jeff was able to get us a great deal and the service and attention we received was outstanding! Would definitely recommend them to anyone... and we love our Ford Ecosport too! :-)


2007 Ford Escape for 7K. Cost us an extra 3500.00

Was in desperate need of a car and only had 6-7K to spend. The sales woman Laura was friendly and extreamly helpful. That part of the process was a pleasure. Long story short...had to bring the car back for a seatbelt problem. They found what was called a mystery oil leak. Did t know where it was leaking from and said it could cost 200-1200 to fix. Really?? Took it my guy, no oil leak found. Next, the battery and alternator go. That was over 1K. Next, the transmission goes. 2500.00 later we now paid over 10K for this car. No return calls from the Sales manager or GM. DO NOT buy your used (or new for that matter) car here!!! They don’t care about you!!
