Knowledgeable staff (Mia was my sales person), willingness to negotiate, patience of Mia and Paul (finance guy), warranty. I’ve even been back twice with questions and they were answered, first by Mia, then by another sales person as Mia was off that day.

Bird in Grill Dilema
I came in early in the morning around 8am with no appointment because a bird flew in the front grill of my car and got stuck behind the grill. Poor bird died a painful death, but I could NOT get this bird out of my car on my own. When I arrived my service advisor, Jamie, said Modern Hyundai of Concord could handle taking the front bumper off to free the bird. The service manager, Kelly, even jumped to action getting on the floor under the car to see how to handle removing the bird. I just really appreciate the immediate call to action to help me with this particular unique circumstance. I was in and out in 30 minutes! It’s the extra level of service that made my experience so great. As I went to enter the waiting room, Jamie offered me coffee, water, snacks, etc. I let him know: no thank you, I don’t drink coffee I drink Mountain Dew - which they didn’t have, and I was okay with that! When my car was returned to me, Jamie had a cold Mountain Dew he handed me personally!! That was so kind. I’m so grateful to get my car serviced here with Jamie, Kelly, and the rest of the Modern Hyundai of Concord team. Thank y’all until my next service!

DO NOT BUY A 2023 HYUNDAI
Jaime in the service department was awesome and he gets 10 stars. He is the only person at Modern Hyundai that gets 10 stars from me! My overall experience with Hyundai and Modern Hyundai is the worst. I was sold a car in November 2022 with an open recall and never informed of the issue when purchasing the car. In February 2023, my radio stops working. Which sounds trivial, but everything is tied to the radio so I could only drive the car and not really control anything. When I called to get an appointment for someone to look at the car, there were no appointments for weeks but the scheduler said I should drop in. When I arrived, someone did look at my vehicle and tried to troubleshoot, but it was determined that I needed a new radio. So he had to order the part and I asked how long will it take to come in and he said 2-3 days and it should be there the next week since this was on a Friday. Well a week goes by and I don’t hear back so I call and am finally informed that the part is in back order. Three months go by and I finally get my radio fixed. During the three months, I would call and no one cared. I was supposed to receive a call from Kevin, the service manager, but he never called. When I called him, it always went to voicemail. I did overhear a conversation between Kevin and two other service employees in which they were complaining about customers complaining to them. They couldn’t understand what the customers want them to do about our issues. We’ll step 1 is to act like you care that we are having problems. Had I known I would have this issue with my car within 3 months of purchase, I definitely would have bought something else. Had I known how awful the customer service would be, I would have bought something else. I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience was so awful that I had to leave this one.

They worked hard to solve the problem, but Hyundai had not updated their system. There is no excuse for this.
