Drop off Outland Tuesday after hours.

Drop off Outland Tuesday after hours. Was told next evening service department was backed up from Memorial Day and did not get to our vehicle. - might be able to get to the vehicle Thursday. Thursday came and went - late Thursday vehicle was looked out finally and no battery was in stock and it would be Monday before they could get battery in my vehicle. I told them I would pick up vehicle Thursday evening and I’d go find my own battery. Service department called back and said now they all of sudden found a battery and the car would be ready next morning. Amazing how all of sudden after I told service department I would pick up my vehicle , look for my own battery, all of sudden it would be ready the next day. Additional , very little communication with the service department. - not kept in update on anything. Almost of my communication with the service department were initiated by me.

Go to Bristol instead

Took a $500 deposit for an Outback Onyx XT. After we negotiated the price for trade and vehicle there was an issue with a fraud alert on Transunion which wouldn’t allow them to move forward. They did zero legwork to even attempt to make the sale or fix it. I get it resolved, inform them I resolved it and they refunded me without so much as a call or response to my text from salesman. I went to Wallace of Bristol where the same issue occurred and the salesman did all the legwork to resolve the issue with me right then and there. Was over and done with the sale process in no time and walked out with a 2024 Outback Wilderness instead. Highly disappointed by Johnson City; not to mention their inventory was terribly sub par compared to Bristol.

They threatened to call police on me 🤣🤣

I went to purchase a car. The advertised price was $22,410 and the website stated that the sales price included the $699 doc fee. I offered the sales manager $21,000. He told me the best he could do was $21,711. I accepted the deal. Got to the finance department and I see the sales sheet where they added the $699 doc fee making the sales price back to $22,410. So when he acted like he was giving me a bit of a discount, he was actually giving me nothing. After walking out, I went to the sales manager and gave him my opinion on his shady practices and he wanted to argue with me, not wanting to admit what he done. I texted the salesperson, Eric James about the issue, and he had the nerve to tell me “I’m sorry you misinterpreted some things”. So I asked him to humor me and tell me what the point of taking the doc fee off only to add it back, but he wouldn’t respond. The sales manager was banking on me having not read the fine print on their website. If you do business with this dealership, please look carefully at your sales sheet. I’m wondering how many people have paid that doc fee that didn’t read the fine print on their website stating that it’s included. Buyer beware!!! I went back today to talk to a different sales manager to get the deal we agreed on. I got thrown out with a threat to call the police. 🤣🤣

My car's dead, took it to subaru 4 times with the same

My car's dead, took it to subaru 4 times with the same issues, it was timing....they kept telling me to drive it until it gave a code to find the real issue. Obviously thats bad advice instead of finding the problem. Now I'm out a car I still owe 6 grand on. I got ahold of the GM to explain how it's been here multiple times and it never got fixed. Actually got worse after last time, they recommended sparks and coils lmfao. Subaru had it brought to them and figure yea it's timing, but are unwilling to actually figure it out at this point. They'd have to take the front case off, but that's too much to ask for them to actually figure it out. Pointing the finger at the guy who put the motor in like yea he messed up.....just fix it! That's what I'm bringing it to Subaru for! All this is coming from the General Manager TC Baker. Since we're going in circles, i keep telling him you guys should have fixed it its been 4 times! He continues to tell me to call the guy who put it in.....for what? To scold him? Since when do mechanic shops blame someone who worked on it before instead of fixing the issue. Yesterday he offered lots of money towards a trade in. I told him I don't want to buy ANY car from his dealership. He asked me what I wanted to get out of this btw, I told him I wanted them to fix what should have been done the first time, but at this point it needs an engine. I was told he's a super nice guy and cares about his customers and reputation. Apparently not. Today he tells me either he can issue a repair credit.....not knowing what needs repaired or how much it costs for the repair. Or just drop it off at my house. I told him I don't trust his mechanics to fix anything! They've gotten over 2k from me but yet......literally still (AT THIS POINT) STILL don't actually know what to fix in my car. So it's just gonna be dead in my driveway now. Don't buy from Wallace Subaru in Johnson City!!! Please share this guy's. I know I'm not the only one getting shafted and I plan on exposing them. I know it's not a good idea to screw your neighbors. My business is just a couple blocks away and I see hundreds of people each day.....I'll be sure to let every single one of them know not to buy from Wallace! Thanks for nothing TC

7.1.22 Another terrible experience with Wallace Subaru.

7.1.22 Another terrible experience with Wallace Subaru. After so many times of repair work on a new car, nothing ever gets resolved. It's usually even worse. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. No one takes responsibility, just passed around. Our dash was scratched during the replacement last time and today both interior doors are scuffed and scratched. We'll see if the new vapor barriers work this time after the 3rd time on this issue!!

I took our 2012 Subaru Outback 3.6r in for a wheel...

I took our 2012 Subaru Outback 3.6r in for a wheel bearing going bad in the front right. Service guy called me and said that the tech found that the front was absolutely fine and that The rear right wheel bearing was bad. I told the service manager that the sound was definitely coming from the front right all you had to do was swerve the car at about 35 miles an hour and you could hear it when the car came around to the left you could even feel it in the wheel well. He assured me that the tech said that the front was fine and it was definitely the rear right. Went and picked up the car and as soon as I got on the road the same noise and vibration was there and even a little worse. Took it back and they had me ride with the service manager and he said yes the front right was definitely bad as we could both feel it and hear it! Left it there again overnight and the next morning they said yes they replaced the right front one now as well. I mentioned to them that the steering wheel after they aligned it was tilted to the right and no longer center and he said he would fix it. After picking it up today he said that yes the steering wheel was little to the right and the technician fixed it and it was perfectly straight… As soon as I got on the road the Steering wheel was definitely still to the right this time a little bit more and now the alignment is worse than before they changed the wheel bearing on the front! About $1300 for a bad wheel bearing and alignment that is worse than when I the brought the car in. They comped some of the Labor and told me that I had a free oil change due to the misdiagnose. They can keep it I’m not going back.
