I was hoping to be writing a great review for this dealer but sadly I have to do the opposite. If you are looking for a place that cares about a customer, look elsewhere. I placed a deposit on a car and was awaiting the dealership to handle some issues I raised at the test drive. The day before scheduled pick up I got a call that an issue was found with the transmission and that they didn't feel comfortable selling the car. Fair enough, seems honest right? Following week I call before going to see a car, cash in hand and after finding a sitter, several tolls, gas, time I arrive at the dealership two hours later to be told sorry we sold the car. Make of it what you wish as you consider this place but no matter how low the mileage or how clean the car I would never patronize Torch Light Motors.

Jeff is by far the best used car sales dealer I have ever dealt with. The experience me and my family have with him was phenomenal. We have purchased 3 volvo's from him and they are running great. We couldn't have asked for a better dealer than Jeff. I will always continue to go to Jeff for cars because he's friendly, reliable, honest and trustworthy. I would recommend anyone interested in a reliable used car to go to Torch Light Motors and speak to Jeff because he is the man that will give you an amazing deal for your buck.

My wife and I were recently in the market for a used volvo. We live in Vermont and our neighbor had purchased a used volvo from Torch Light Motors 3 years ago. 100k miles since they bought it and still going strong. They recommended visit Torch Light's website. There we found many Volvo that would potentially fit our needs and budget. So we packed up the kids and drove 6 hours to Torch Light's location in NJ. I must admit we were immediately taken back at the very laid back way they handled us. We first were greeted by Herb who gave us an inventory list and quick overview of the lot and left us to do our thing. Herb was very patient with us as we looked at about 6 different volvos and test drove 4 of them. We found all the cars to be clean both mechanically and physically which actually made our decision making much more difficult. So after 3 hours of looking, touching and feeling we decided on a 2005 xc90. We went into the office and met Jeff (the owner). Very friendly and personable. At no time did my wife or I feel like we were in the midst of buying a car. It felt more like a get together with some old friends. Easy, low key, no stress and dare I say fun. Well we have since driven back home and put on almost 1500 miles since the purchase. We LOVE our new used volvo. Thank you Jeff and Herb for a great experience that hopefully other people will also get to experience at Torch Light Motors.

We purchased 3 cars from Torchlight, three volvos and a BMW. Jeff was very friendly and honest. Because we were so impressed we referred all of our friends and family members, 15 people in total. They all purchased cars and also had a great experience. I highly reommend him for anyone in search of a reliable used car. His prices are reasonable and the service impeccable.

I was looking for a used car and searched all over the place for a car and majority of the dealerships were terrible with awfull cars but what you see n the site is what you get. they had tons of nice cars for fairly low prices and customer service was everything i wanted and they even gave me a free carfax. i would reccomend visiting this dealer.

I had decided that buying new wasn't really a good value, but was struggling to find quality used cars. Having been a Volvo owner for more than 25 years and taken several cars over 250K miles, I was thrilled to find Torchlight Motors back in 2005. I still have the 2001 XC70 that I bought back then with 50K miles. It now has 180K with no issues whatsoever. I have since purchased four more cars from Torchlight with great success. They sell cars well below "dealer" pricing so the value is there. Jeff has also turned me on to the mechanic that inspects/repairs all of the cars that he buys before they are put on the lot. I was just there last week and saw five Torchlight in the lot waiting for inspection. Great savings compared to the local Volvo dealer!!!! Nobody is perfect, but I certainly don't understand all of the negative reviews. My dealings with Torchlight have been great. I would recommend Torchlight to my best friend.

I recently purchased a 2006 S60 AWD sedan from Torchlight Motors. I had been shopping for about a month for the right car at the right price. I had been to the big dealerships and got some prices but Torchlight was by far worth the long wait. I bought this sedan $2500 less than any of the other big dealerships. Along with the price the service of the Herb and Jeff were very comforting. They were much more comforting and respectful than the large high pressure dealerships. I felt that I could make my own decision and wasnt going to be pressured ( the decision was a no-brainer). Along the the price being so low, Jeff explained to me his process for the way he purchases his cars. He is very meticulous when he buys then and even gets the checked out by a volvo expert before he even attempts to sell them. My nature is to be always cautious, so jeff also explained to me his extended warranties which he gives to his customers at his prices that he gets them from the warranty company. I was amazed because the price he was selling me a 4 year UNLIMITED mile warranty for the dealership guys were selling me a 2 year 50,000 mile warranty. All in all, this was a very pleasant car buying experience. I called jeff a week after I bought the car to tell him thank you. I believe that personal service that jeff and herb gave me has almost become extinct in the auto buying industry. I will recommend Torchlight to all my friends and family.

My wife and I purchased a 2002 Volvo XC V70 Cross Country from torchlight about 6 years ago. The experience was a good one. Jeff was a knowledgeable guy about the car. Pretty straight forward and to the point. Jeff is a friendly guy with his purpose of selling you a car you will appreciate. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Volvo just do your research before hand so you are aware of the cars history. We purchased another car from Jeff a older model for my son and was treated with the same respect. Torchlight motors has a variety of cars depending on what type your looking for.To all looking into by a Volvo Torchlight is not a bad choice. By the way the car has been problem free with the exception of basic maintenance.

I just wrapped up the purchase of my second vehicle from Jeff at Torch Light. Just for some background, in 2008 I purchased a 2006 Volvo S60 from Jeff with 44K miles. From the day I drove that car off his lot, I've not one problem with the vehicle. I literally drove the car for the last few years without having to spend a dime on it (besides regular maintenance). I decided to change into another car, and traded the S60 to Jeff, and purchased a like new XC90. So far the experience mirrors the one I had a few years ago. The car is great, the service was great, and as a return customer I was treated like royalty. I would recommend Jeff and his business to my closest family and friends.

Just recently bought a 2006 S60 from Torchlight with about 77K miles, a car that turned out to be exactly what we were looking for and expected to get being that all we were able to afford at this time was a used car...key word being USED. We did our research and homework before buying this car. We bought this car with the understanding that it was used and not new, so we had no unreasonable expectations when it came to purchasing a used vehicle. My wife and I drove down from Northern Jersey after shopping around and doing our research ahead of time when it came to used Volvo's. Torchlight Motors website was also a huge help for us when we were shopping around, so we knew exactly what we were looking for by the time we drove down to the dealership. At the lot, we found Jeff and his salesman (Herb) to be friendly and informative. Compared to all the other cars we looked at in our price range, this S60 was the best vehicle for the money that we could find. Jeff does not negotiate prices (even though we did try to negotiate the price with him), but still found his price's to be so much more reasonable then other used S60's we have been pricing around at other dealerships. We also really liked the no pressure type sales people there are at Torchlight...instead, they give you a list of the cars they have available on the lot, which gives you all the information you need like the prices, mileage..etc...and then just allow you to look around with no pressure, unlike some other dealerships we visited before coming to Torchlight. Even though they also offer you a 3 month free warranty, we took advantage of the extended 4 year warranty that Jeff offers you at his dealer cost since we plan on keeping this car for the next 4 to 5 years. We felt it was a great deal, and the added peace of mind of owning a used vehicle. Overall our whole experience at Torchlight was non-eventful, comfortable and with no added pressure with pushy sales people. We love the car and are very satisfied with it, and plan on returning to this dealership the next time we are in the market again for a car.
