Good cars. Jeff was helpful even after I bought the car and I had questions. Beware the warranty though, doesn't cover very much. Look up the comparison on Penn's website before buying.

I stopped in to look at a car the prices are firm and are all on paper. You can test drive any vehicle. Friendly sales people and knowledgeable. I felt they were very honest about the Volvo's.

We called about a used Volvo and were sold on the idea that the car was in excellent condition. We put a deposit down and flew 400 miles to buy the car and drive home. We made arrangements to arrive on a specific day and even emailed a couple days before to confirm. When we arrived to the dealership, the appearance of the car was horrible. We couldn't believe it was the same car! It was dirty inside and out, it had scratches and lots of cosmetic issues. The front headlamp was all fogged up. When we turned the car on, it blew HOT air from the a/c. Jeff (the owner) was not on site at this time. The service guy kept rambling on that the headlamp was fogged up because they parked the car facing the wrong direction... making us even more angry that he would treat us like we were idiots! Once Jeff arrived, he had the service guy charge the a/c and ASSURED us that it must be a "smaller than pinhole sized leak" in the a/c, but it was definitely not the compressor! He told us we needed to put "blinders on to the cosmetics issues because it is such a mechanically sound vehicle". WRONG! By the time we drove the car home, the a/c had completely died. We also started having issues when the car would first start, and then immediately die. We had to pay $1,100 for diagnostics and a brand new a/c compressor. But WAIT, I thought the owner assured us that it was NOT the compressor??? Oh yeah, people LIE and there is nothing you can do about it once you have driven the car home! Except for writing a review in hopes that someone reads it and is fore-warned about dealers with BAD business practices!! Do not be fooled by the warranty "spiel" either. Penn Warranty company does not even pay 50% of the cost that it takes to fix problems. Our volvo is still having major mechanical issues and on top of that we are having to pay to get the car fully detailed because it is such a dirty mess and was never cleaned up for our arrival! Jeff's wfe made a slighted comment when we first arrived claiming she wished she would have known we were coming because they would have gotten the car ready. I guess calling and emailing to confirm our arrival date and time was not enough. We wish we would have simply taken a cab back to the airport and paid for 2 plane tickets home!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!

The dealer was totally unwilling and downright rude when we tried to negotiate the price of a car we were interested in. We had the car looked at by an independent mechanic and the car had only one key, 3 bald tires and a cracked headlight that had moisture inside of it. Considering the car would not pass inspection as is, the dealer should have worked with us.

Called about used cars and the response was beyond rude -- all cars we asked about that we saw on-line were "not available". When asked why, we were hung up on. We would have paid cash -- they lost a deal and any future deals. RUDE!

amazingly simple to deal with, no hidden surprises. I have been looking for a while for a reasonable car to get around, I had come across Torch light in the usual search engines but was skeptical as to the quality and price. I was amazed and happy to spend my money when I saw that it was a genuine deal and the cars were as described. I was also impressed that on both cars I had shortlisted had been fully serviced, including a cam belt replacement - which took a whole lot of worry from me. it was a no pressure sales approach, when I arrived I was given a sheet of paper with the important details of all the cars on the lot, i was able to have a good look and make my own choice. the price was fixed but fair, it was a simple honest approach. I liked dealing with Torchlight and would recommend them to anyone.

I was hoping to be writing a great review for this dealer but sadly I have to do the opposite. If you are looking for a place that cares about a customer, look elsewhere. I placed a deposit on a car and was awaiting the dealership to handle some issues I raised at the test drive. The day before scheduled pick up I got a call that an issue was found with the transmission and that they didn't feel comfortable selling the car. Fair enough, seems honest right? Following week I call before going to see a car, cash in hand and after finding a sitter, several tolls, gas, time I arrive at the dealership two hours later to be told sorry we sold the car. Make of it what you wish as you consider this place but no matter how low the mileage or how clean the car I would never patronize Torch Light Motors.

Jeff is by far the best used car sales dealer I have ever dealt with. The experience me and my family have with him was phenomenal. We have purchased 3 volvo's from him and they are running great. We couldn't have asked for a better dealer than Jeff. I will always continue to go to Jeff for cars because he's friendly, reliable, honest and trustworthy. I would recommend anyone interested in a reliable used car to go to Torch Light Motors and speak to Jeff because he is the man that will give you an amazing deal for your buck.

My wife and I were recently in the market for a used volvo. We live in Vermont and our neighbor had purchased a used volvo from Torch Light Motors 3 years ago. 100k miles since they bought it and still going strong. They recommended visit Torch Light's website. There we found many Volvo that would potentially fit our needs and budget. So we packed up the kids and drove 6 hours to Torch Light's location in NJ. I must admit we were immediately taken back at the very laid back way they handled us. We first were greeted by Herb who gave us an inventory list and quick overview of the lot and left us to do our thing. Herb was very patient with us as we looked at about 6 different volvos and test drove 4 of them. We found all the cars to be clean both mechanically and physically which actually made our decision making much more difficult. So after 3 hours of looking, touching and feeling we decided on a 2005 xc90. We went into the office and met Jeff (the owner). Very friendly and personable. At no time did my wife or I feel like we were in the midst of buying a car. It felt more like a get together with some old friends. Easy, low key, no stress and dare I say fun. Well we have since driven back home and put on almost 1500 miles since the purchase. We LOVE our new used volvo. Thank you Jeff and Herb for a great experience that hopefully other people will also get to experience at Torch Light Motors.

We purchased 3 cars from Torchlight, three volvos and a BMW. Jeff was very friendly and honest. Because we were so impressed we referred all of our friends and family members, 15 people in total. They all purchased cars and also had a great experience. I highly reommend him for anyone in search of a reliable used car. His prices are reasonable and the service impeccable.
