My first experience with this dealer goes back to 2012. I had the Toyota care plan for my truck. When it was expired, I was astonished how difficult it was to remove my oil cartridge on my Tundra, it took a 3' breaker bar to take it off. Way too much torque... it seems as if they never changed the oil cartridge when I had received the 'Toyota care'. My next truck a Tacoma, I needed my gear oil changed in my differentials at 90,000 miles in 2018, at the time I didn't have a place to do the work so I had Mike Shaw Toyota Service do the work... When my next gear oil change came up at 120,000 miles in 2019, I could not break the torque for my front differential drain plug. I took it to the dealer and kindly they changed that gear oil for free. The service technician had to hammer a chisel into the drain plug to get it to come off, seriously. The factory spec for that bolt is only 36 ft/lbs, why?? Now in 2020...I just did my 150,000 mile gear oil service, again I had issues with the front differential, but I was able to get the drain bolt off myself. However none of the crush washers were present on the drain or fill hole. Again, Mike Shaw Toyota cutting corners. So... I hope to anyone looking to buy a Toyota- yes they are great trucks and cars. But if you need service. Do not come here!!! They have been perpetually cutting corners on my vehicles and I don't trust them to do work on my vehicles again.

WARNING
.be careful when making a purchase here.... make sure before signing anything you read and understand your entire contract....they will trick you into purchasing GAP protection, extended warranty, maintenance etc.... and they will not mention the extra cost....Also be sure you are completely satisfied with your purchase. You only have 5 days to return the vehicle if your not satisfied with your purchase(they will not tell you this) I got suckered into purchasing a Tacoma with a 4 cylinder engine; the price difference from the V6 is only $3000. The sales rep told me that there was a $6000 difference before making the deal... I was told I was getting $2000 in incentives and they then tacked on another $4500 for GAP and maintenance at signing. I tried going back to make an exchange 10 days after the purchase because I was not seeing a big difference on the fuel economy from a regular truck, the 4 cylinder engine does not offer much power, and i didn't like the fact that you can't add the tow package without voiding the warranty..they also tricked me into running my credit again after they told me they weren't going to.... just know this, anytime you give them your social security number, they will run your credit several times.... They did not do anything for me and the sales rep told me "just look at it this way, you can use this one as a loaner for 6 months and then bring it back to trade it in".

Kevin Dooley is FANTASTIC
Went in for an oil change and tire rotation, after removing the wheels the tech noticed that my brakes we in dire need of pad replacement. I didn't know as I bought this car 1 year ago in Houston at another dealer before I moved down here, the car is 3 years old and has never had anything ever done to the brakes. This was great news as I am going to a wedding in Santa Fe and was just about to hit the road in a car with bad brakes. Kevin, your a life saver!! Thank you Mike Shaw Toyota for being there for me! I will always be a loyal customer from here on out.

Fabulous Dealership
Came in and looked around, saw them on TV and Mr. Shaw looks like a wonderful Gentleman. Met Mario Rivas, he showed us a new Corolla and we fell in LOVE. Awesome job to Chris Delgado, too. He made it easy and painless.

We were driving to Port Aransas from San Antonio when our car started making a noise. We discovered the flap by the tire that protected the engine from debris was shredded and hitting the tire. Also, the bumper was starting to come undone. I think we were missing a couple of bolts. We called Mike Shaw Toyota up and asked if they would be able to check our car out an hour before closing on a Friday night. They said to stop on by. We pulled up, they immediately greeted us and looked at our car. Since they didn't have the part in stock, they were able to zip tie and bolt our bumper back in place so we didn't have to abort our trip. No charge and done in 5 minutes. Thank you Mike and Kevin! You were a vacation saver! Thanks for helping us out!!

WRONG PRICING NOT HONORED
CARLOS CALLED ME VERY PLEASANTLY AND TOLD ME ABOUT THE TRUCK AND I GOT ALL EXCITED THEN HE TELLS ME THE PRICE AND IT IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN THE PRICE THAT IS LISTED ON CARS.COM I AM UPSET AND THEN HE TELLS ME THAT I NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS RETAIL AND IT IS ONLY $3200 HIGHER. I SHOULD KNOW WHAT HE IS REFERRING TO BECAUSE I SELL MOTORCYCLES AND WELL CARLOS YOU ARE WRONG. IF WE LIST THE PRICE ONLINE FOR AN INCORRECT AMOUNT, WE WILL HONOR IT, SELL IT, AND MOVE ON TO THE NEXT CUSTOMER. WE DON'T TELL THEM YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND AND HOW THEY SHOULD FEEL. THEN MARK THE E-COMMERCE DIRECTOR CALLS ME AND TELLS ME, I AM SORRY, READS ME THE DISCLAIMER THAT CARS.COM ISN'T RESPONSIBLE AND NEITHER IS THE DEALERSHIP. TOTALLY HORRIBLE AND I AM IN COMPLETE SHOCK THEY WOULD NOT BE A DEALER OF THEIR WORD OVER $3200. THEY ARE TOTALLY COMFORTABLE WITH TELLING ME "IT IS ONLY $3200" BUT THEN TURN THAT AROUND TO THEM AND THEY JUST TURN THEIR SHOULDER AND PRETEND TO BE DEAF. Claims work was done but caught in a lie
I took my truck in for its 10000 mile service. And guess what I had marked my tires cause I trust no one. They claimed to have rotated the tires, it took long enough and they could have but they were still in the same place that I had before going in. Over all I am totally surprised how this organization still runs. I know that if I had these issues in less than a year odds are they are doing it to more people that blindly being taken advantage of.

Arrogant
I just bought a. 2018 Rav4. I Wanted to buy back my trade. Originally I was told it would be possible. But when I returned to do so ,I was given some xxxxxxxx story that I couldnt buy it back.. Sammy Pedraza gave me some xx story that it didnt pass inspection so they would be liable if something happened. I owned that car for 9 years. I hate when a man thinks that because I'm female he can feed me any xx to send me on my way. However its good enough for auction.. That arrogant A needs to go back to Fresno Tx. Corpus has no place for him. Mr. Shaw I would get rid of this guy. This sales guy is rude. Do not buy from him. Sadly I will not buy from Mike Shaw again.
