2009 VW Jetta TDI

Sheldon bent over backward to make sure we were happy throughout the buying process and beyond, and the managers seemed truly interested in making sure the entire sale was not rushed and completed to our satisfaction. The only issue we had was that we bought a car that had just been traded, so we had to bring the car back to be serviced and detailed. The service was done, as far as I can tell, quite up to par, but the detail work left much to be desired: adhesive residue on the glass surfaces, spots on the carpeting in the trunk, and trash, including a whole cigarette, under/beside the passenger seat. Overall a great experience with one stinger to leave a bad taste in your mouth.

Tremendous help after owner fueling error

While traveling southbound on I95 on Super Bowl Sunday I stopped for fuel at the St. George exit. I then inadvertently filled my 2011 Golf tdi with 13 gallons of regular gasoline. I have been careful for 55,000 trouble free mile from doing the very thing that I had just done. After five minutes of cursing at myself I called AAA for a flatbed wrecker and located Stokes VW in North Charleston. I had the sense to not cycle the ignition and just turned the key one notch to unlock the steering wheel and we pushed the car to a safe location. When we arrived at Stokes VW I found a key drop and envelope to list the problem and left the car overnight. At 7:30 Monday morning I was at the service department door and met service consultant Brandon Belt. Brandon was fantastic, He knew my trip was interrupted and was very understanding of my problem. Stokes VW service department was able to pump out the gasoline/diesel fuel mixture and flush the fuel system all before 1:00 PM. With nearly have of a tank of fresh diesel fuel provided by Stokes VW I was back on the road with my powertrain warranty still intact. I can't say enough about the professional courtesy and timeliness of the team at Stokes VW.

40K Mile Service

Once again, Stokes VW exceeded my expectations. The service department is amazing and by far one of the most accommodating to customer needs. Great staff, great service, and great prices. I?ll never go to a Tread Quarters or a Tire Kingdom again! Thanks John and the VW Service Department!

Took great care of me!

Stokes VW got me into a lease for a brand-new Jetta when other dealerships turned thumbs down. They got me a great deal and took excellent care of me throughout. I had multiple questions, since I'd never leased a vehicle before, and they took time to answer them all thoroughly and carefully. Kristi, my sales person, taught me what I needed to know about the transmission (it's an automatic with manual features, something I'd never seen before, though I'd driven a regular 5-speed for years). John in Service was friendly, reassuring, and thorough. I'm telling everyone about Stokes VW - they're allies, not enemies, in your car-buying process.

Great Service

Estimate was that service would take 3 hours, but I asked if it was possible to complete it in less time. They completed the job in under 2 hours and di an excellent job.

Travis and Jason are wonderful!! 2014 Jetta SE

Travis and Jason helped me with the vehicle and Jesse handled financing. Great guys, gave me best trade in value for my Wrangler. They actually listened to me and suggested a vehicle with all of the options I wanted. Every time I get into my new Jetta, I find another reason to love it more than I already do. I would gladly purchase from them in the futre and recommend anyone to this dealership.

Great 10,000 mile check service

Our service manager, Charles, was outstanding. He was polite, efficient, and a good listener. My car was serviced well within the time frame promised with the results being thoroughly explained. We were so pleased with everything from our welcome to the completion of the service. We have bought many cars in the Charleston, SC area for the past thirty years. This was the most pleasant service department we have encountered.

Outstanding Customer Service!

I purchased my 2012 VW Passat from a used car dealership and it had a few issues. I never owned a VW before and I was worried that I was too hasty in buying the car. When I brought it in to Stokes, the entire Service Department was extremely helpful - not only did they fix everything with the car, they explained all the great features, maintenance requirements, and specs about my car (which the used car dealership could not). I am now worry-free and love my VW. Another great thing they did was provide a courtesy shuttle back to my office while they worked on my car - they also offered to pick me back up when it was done! A huge thanks to John and Stokes VW! See you soon!

Great experience+Service!! Great Cars for years!!!

My son and I went to the VW Dealership on Ashley Phosphate Rd to look for a used car for him. We were greeted very professionally by Clarence and later on General Manager Travis Westbury. From the first moment on we felt very comfortable to deal with all the "this and That" of buying a used car. Everything was explained to us very clearly and understandable. I truly appreciated the time both took to make sure we understood everything from extended warranty to signing the final papers what happened a couple days later. My first car was a VW Golf GTI back in Germany and I was happy for years with it. My daughters first car was a VW Beetle and we enjoyed the ride for a very long time. Now I am happy I made the right choice for my son to drive a VW Jetta for his first car experience. I know that I bought a dependable, well taken care of car and a piece of mind that every parent wants for their child.
