I recently (6/18/18) traveled down from Virginia and bought a car with ~82,600 miles on it from World Auto. According to the Carfax, the engine had been replaced at 82,118 miles right before it was listed for auction. The auction occured at 82, 326 miles. The dealer provided me with the Carfax, and when asked about the engine replacement note on the carfax prior to purchase, they didn't deny anything and just noted that they didn't have any of the previous paperwork from the car. The original owner, a fleet company, brought the vehicle to a Volvo dealer prior to the reported engine replacement at which point they were told it needed an engine due to a cracked piston in cylinder #1 and declined the repair at the dealership. I was just contacted by my Volvo dealership after I brought it in due to oil consumption and was told that after using a boroscope to investigate, the piston in cylinder one was cracked. *This repair was documented as being completed by an independent service facility, fraudulently, and the dealer endorsed the Carfax.* The car was sold as-is, but this is a serious problem that could have had fatal repercussions. I have already contacted Carfax in an attempt to find more information on the 'service facility' that claims to have made the repair. I did a decently thorough assessment of the car at time of purchase using Volvo diagnostic software, but was not able to perform compression test at the time. I am now pursuing legal options as this pre-existing and potentially fatal condition was not addressed or verified by World Auto. This should be a huge red flag to anybody looking to buy a car at World Auto that they don't do a thorough job of inspecting the cars they sell under their name. I contacted them as soon as I found out to ask them some questions, and I got a response equivalent to "oh gee, that sucks. oh well, bye."

World auto is oustanding
I purchased a vehicle awhile ago and the vehicle is still doing great. Mr. Rameez was outstanding with his history of the car and his customer service. The car is still perfect and runs like a charm. My price was below the value for end of the year sale value. I checked with a broker friend.

Very nice experience with Shawn and Rameez. Shawn made buying process and paperwork quick and easy to understand. Rameez was very patient with me doing detailed inspection and multiple test drives.

Bad experience
I found their inventory to be considerably over priced compared to other dealers in this area, their sales reps lock knowledge of their inventory and cars weren't clean. I call and spoke to a rep about a car, the price was higher than others for its year, and miles, but he claimed it had a lot of features which up the price, but still exceeded the market value. The color and some features matched my desires, so I went to look at it anyway, only to find out that the vechle I just called about and made a appointment to look at had been in the shop elsewhere getting service for two days. I personally wouldn't buy a car from this dealer, just based on my experience with them, but who knows some ones elses experience might be better.

Smooth and easy
Made the 7 hour trip from NC and it was by far the best experience I've had purchasing a vehicle. Javier was cool, laid back, and friendly. He knows his work and works with you every step of the way, never letting you feel lost in the process. Cars in excellent condition couldn't have asked for a better salesman or dealership. No regrets and I would definitely make the trip out there again.

So laid back and easy
Exactly what you want to buy a used car. Laid back sales, easy and quick paperwork. Exactly what was on the site was what we found.

It Does Not Get Any Better!
How could buying a car get any better? World Auto has a fantastic selection of cars and Javier may be the best sales associate we have ever dealt with. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable of the car we were considering but he spent a lot of time with my wife ?in the car? explaining all of the electronics, options and features. If she didn?t understand something he went over it until she did. His personality and customer service skills really set him apart from other sales associates in this industry. The whole process of buying a car at World Auto was totally stress free! He explained how the purchase process worked and had all of the paperwork ready when it was time to finalize the sale. The price for the various vehicles is below what you would expect to pay and very fair. The attitude of all of the personnel at World Auto that we dealt with was outgoing, helpful and they genuinely cared about their customers. Although we live 4 hours away, I plan on going back in the future for another vehicle.

Excellent Service...and I never bought the car
Javier was incredibly responsive to all communication. He was quick to share with me all vehicle documents (emailed them to me immediately), worked with me on pricing, and when I took the car to the Lexus dealership for a check over, I showed him the few repairs that were needed...requested Lexus parts be used and he agreed to it all and performed both repairs immediately. Mind you, I hadn't even put any money down at this point. Javier emailed the Sales agreement to me and I was on my way with check in hand to purchase. Unfortunately, I had to pull the transaction at the last minute. Javier was nothing but professional and incredibly understanding to my situation. I will absolutely return to World Auto when I resume my car search and look forward to working with Javier again.

Good dealer, but be on guard
I went to the dealer. I worked with Javier and he was extremely nice (though extremely busy). Answered all my questions as well as he could. Seen comments that things weren't fully disclosed about cars that they are selling. These guys are brokers buying and selling cars as fast as they can and know very little about them except what the CarFax says (which they supplied to me for free). They have a system for pricing the car based on how long it sits with them. The longer it is there, the more they are willing to negotiate. The newer it is to them, they won't move on price. It is a system that has worked for them. Only thing that I would recommend is watch out for the nickle and diming after the price has been determined. I was charged $700 for a prep fee (which clearly they did nothing to the car - even by their own admission) which I didn't pay attention to at the time. And they charged $89 for filing the tags, which is high, but saved me the effort. Net-net, it was good, but it could have been better.
