I've bought several cars over the years and I've never had a great experience, until I went to Jeff Schmitt Mitsubishi. I'd been waffling on whether or not to buy a new car for over a year because the cost of automobiles has gotten SO high. But a few days ago, I was driving past this dealership and noticed they had a beautiful red car sitting out front and though I'd never considered even buying a Mitsubishi, I looked this one up online when I got home. The more I looked into it, the more I felt this was the car for me, a 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport LE. I contacted the dealership and I've never had such a painless experience when buying a new car. I was greeted at the door by JB, one of their salespeople, and he wasn't a pushy salesperson at all. He allowed me to tell him what I was looking for, he answered every question I had, and I could tell he really did know what he was talking about and not just blowing sunshine up my skirt, and he was actually great to work with! The price was right on the car I chose, I got what I felt was a fair trade-in on my old car, and I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're looking for a new car, for a fair price, and a great salesperson to work with, come to this dealership and ask for JB. You won't regret it! UPDATE: I felt the need to update this after looking thru my paperwork today... AT the time of signing all the paperwork related to the sale, I came across two documents that showed I was paying $917 for Gap insurance (which I've NEVER needed before) and $2467 for an extended warranty I never asked for, nor did I want it. HOWEVER, as I was being rushed thru the signing, I asked about removing those two things as I didn't want to pay for them. I was told both were optional, but removing them wouldn't change my monthly payment and they were "essentially" free by Tim Muterspaw, the finance/business manager. (And I'm thinking I'm not spelling his name correctly, but it's eluding me at the moment.) First, okay, mea culpa, you got me. I didn't read the paperwork closely enough to catch that, but he actually said to me a couple of times when he trains new salespeople he tells them to never lie. AND HE LIED TO ME! He added $3384 to my sales contract and THAT'S Why I needed the Gap insurance! Had he not put those two items on the sales price, I wouldn't have needed the extra insurance. I actually had a pre-approval from CapOne when I walked in there and Tim told me he could beat the interest rate, and I told him to go ahead and see if he could. Had I stuck with my pre-approval, my monthly payment would be $35 less a month because it wouldn't include financing these two items that are PURE PROFIT for the dealership! I still recommend using JB as a salesperson, but get your financing taken care of BEFORE going there so Tim won't/can't lie to you and pad their profit margins, thus giving you a higher payment than you should have.

This is an update to an earlier review I put on here. I was contacted by the dealership and they have resolved the issue to my satisfaction with regard to the finance person misleading me into signing a contract that was much too high due to his adding an extended warranty, which resulted in the need for Gap Insurance. The contract was re-written with the lower dollar amount, saving me over $70 a month on my payment. (After him telling me removing the extended warranty and gap insurance wouldn't lower my payment at all.) Now if I can get something done about the mechanic who evaluated my trade-in and lied about it having an oil leak around the head gasket (it doesn't).

My sales Rep Karissa was outstanding never did I feel pressured to make a deal with them on my new Outlander ES all the people I seen in the dealership were very friendly. I would recommend anyone that is looking for a new car or suv to check them out.

Garrett best of the best!

I have bought all of my vehicles from Jeff Schmitt and they never failed to provide me with the best service possible. They are always courteous and value you as a customer!. This time around I met with Garrett at the Mitsubishi location in Fairborn. I had no idea what I wanted in my next SUV but he went out of his way to show me what that location had to offer as well as the other surrounding locations. He was very patient with me while I figured out what I wanted and when the time came Garrett delivered! My transaction was a breeze and so effortless. I drove out of the with exactly what I wanted and more. Garrett made sure I was taken care of. Thank you again Garrett for finding me what I needed and wanted in my new vehicle!
