Happy with 1st Car Purchase

My wife and I have been in the market for an SUV the past few weeks. It's my first car purchase and shopping around was a nightmare. There was a lot of running around and a lot of back and forth with the dealerships we visited. Yesterday we were looking online for 2020 Tiguan inventory and eventually decided to give Open Road a call. The whole process, especially for a first time buyer, could not have gone any better than expected. We initially spoke to Richelle, who was more than accommodating over the phone. We live about an hour away and we definitely had her running around taking pictures and giving us a better idea of what the car looked like. We couldn't have been more appreciative with the help! Eventually we decided to go to the store and we were introduced to Rodger who walked us through the process with top notch professionalism and was very consultative. He gave us all of our options to help give the best deal possible and within our price range. After going through the credit check process, the results didn't favor us with the best rate. Eventually a gentleman by the name of Joe stepped in, broke down some discrepancies with my credit report, and fought with the bank to help dramatically bring down our rate to fit within our budget. To finish it off, Anwar was there to complete the final details of the sale, stayed way past closing with Rodger and showed tremendous patience walking us through our contract. All in all, we made the right decision and are very happy with our purchase!

Despicable Business Practices

There liars and try to manipulate you. I went to buy a car for my mom. Everything was fine until I started my financing with Anwar he is a liar and added unnecessary fees. Ran my credit from other banks that I didn't authorize. I'm already contacting the better business bureau.

Waste of time!

We had an awful experience at this dealership yesterday. After setting up an appointment to test drive a used vehicle and driving over 1.5 hours to see it, we showed up to a car that was filthy and with a non-working air conditioner (mind you, it was 95 degrees yesterday). We made the appointment to see the car two days in advance and it was obvious that no one made any effort to prepare the vehicle let alone ensure that the AC was working for the test drive. Obviously, it was a hard pass on the car and with that we were left to walk out of the dealership with nothing more than some advice about our potential trade-in and a few apologies. Most shockingly, we were not even offered to see any comparable automobiles. It didn't really seem like anyone was interested in making a sale. I make many of my purchases based on customer reviews, and I try to review both positive and negative experiences when I have them. A car is a big purchase, and I definitely would not have confidence in or recommend buying from VW of Bridgewater. Good luck!

Somewhat disappointed

Went in to look at used Jetta Sportswagen. Felt salesperson was a little over-eager, and was somewhat turned off by his disparaging remarks about other dealers. Was contacted again by dealership on another car, but when I quickly responded, I was told that the 2nd car was already sold.

Great sales team!

Got an online price from Paul Rubin and was honored with no hidden fees when i walked in the door. From my experience car dealerships like to hide fees and try to bump up the price, but shopping at a big dealership like Open Road VW they didnt try to pull a fast one on me! Roy was great!

Fantastic deal!

Just bought a 2017 GLI from this dealer, they matched every other dealers lowest deal. Fantastic service, i wouldnt have written a review if i wasnt this impressed with what i got compared to other deals online.

Fantastic service department

My car was towed In last week and I dealt directly with the service manager Sita. It was great to hear that a majority of my repairs were covered under warranty. I love the free loaner car and they even detailed the vehicle for me. Great overall experience, 5 star treatment all the way.
