Typical pondscum dealership: I said I would have their used car checked by an independant mechanic IF they verified they could process a federal rebate at time of sale. They told me YES they would. I spent $373 to have the car checked out, THEN they tell me NO, they are not set up for the rebate, and they refuse to do so. Buyer beware

Reporting Open Road Mazda to BBB

I’m reporting Open Road Mazda of Morristown to the Better Business Bureau. For 10 months they’ve charged me for a service I did not ask for. I’ve been patient from January until now, having made dozen phone calls and emails, but am now resigned to the fact that there be nothing but delays, deflections, and continued unsolicited charges on my bank account. It’s troubling and I have no other recourse besides reporting them to the proper authorities.

WARNING - DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!

YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS UP!!!! Bought used car from dealership along with service contract and gap insurance about a year ago. Car totalled on 4/13. I notified dealership, insurance company and gap insurance company. The dealership even gave me gap insurance info, etc. I gave everything to everyone of what they needed to process claim. Found out today gap insurance did not pay their full portion. I called them. TURNS OUT - dealership didn't cancel service contract. I went to dealership. asked why. Spoke to guy in finance dpt. He told me it is because - BECAUSE - I didn't tell them to cancel the service contract!!! WTH!!!! I SAID " I called you and told you car was totalled, asked what I needed to do on my end to make everything OK . And not once was I told anything about cancelling service contract separately! THEY KNEW THE CAR WAS TOTALLED!! THEY KNEW I HAD SERVICE CONTRACT! I AM BEING PENALIZED FOR SERVICE CONTRACT ON A TOTALLED CAR! DEALERSHIP KNEW THIS!!! I would never recommend this dealership to anyone! !! These crooks will be reported to better business bureau and any additional interest and penalties accrued from the bank will be paid by them! This is totally absurd and totally unacceptable!

Always disappointed when dealing open Road Mazda M

As soon as we signed that we were buying the car it has been a huge customer service disappointment. The salesman just walked away while we waited 2.5 hours for the financing department. Salesman never told us it did not have all weather mat which I asked for. So no problem I called and talked to parts department and asked to have all weather mats sure stop by any time. So I drive the 45 minutes from home and get the the service department and they are out of all weather mats For my car... so I have to come back again. Then I never receive a call that my registration and plates are in and my temporary plates are expired. It takes 5 phone calls to get someone who finally found the plates and then tells me they have had them for 2 weeks why haven’t I picked them up??? Today after 3 phone calls to make the appointment I had Apple car play installed in my car only to find out when I pick it up that unlike every other car I have driven that had CarPlay it is not wireless I had to use a cord to make it work... now I call let that go if I did not have to call multiple times again to see if my car when done because again I live 45 minutes from Open Road Mazda, I was told service department closed at 5:30 and had not heard from them at 4:30. When I finally get someone in service they say we close at 5:30 but you can pick up your car till 7:30. Why this could not have been explained when I dropped off or by one of the 3 employees I spoke with is a mystery to me. What I can say is everyone act shocked when you explain why they customer service is horrific. I will never go to open road Mazda again until I turn in my lease. Then I will go to another Mazda dealer to get my next car. Very disappointed!!!

experience here was so much more efficient

The buying experience here was so much more efficient and less overwhelming than at other dealerships in the area that I’d visited during my car shopping journey. Not only did they give me a great deal on the CX-5 that We bought, but the salesperson, Julio Vichez, was down to earth, straight forward, and friendly, Would definitely recommend!

Made sure i got the best deal and that my car was clean before i left. The General manager was wonderful as well making sure i understood everything about my deal. The worst buying experience of my life. CHECK YOUR PAPERWORK!! Before signing paperwork, I noticed all these ridiculous fees, when asked about them, I was told it was a misprint. False advertisement!!! BEWARE!!
