No Sticker on car. Increased price of sticker by $1000.00

I found the car I wanted but no sticker. Asked the salesmen and he promised to provide and quoted me the price at $41,870. When they issued the price quote with trade-in, taxes etc. The price was $42,870. They could not explain the difference of $1,000 increase. Later they provided me the sticker and the price was $41,870 and not $42,870. I consider this very deceptive trade practice.

Roger, after looking through your deal we found that the initial $42k price included our extra safety feature, this was then taken out of the final price which ended up being $39k after discounts. We would like to apologize about any confusion and offer to go through the contract with you to explain more if needed.

Yes, I would like to go through the contract with you. Who is responding to my review? Please answer my questions: 1. There was never a mention of" safety features" for exactly $1,000. Please show me what they are. 2. Why were these "safety features" not shown on the MSRP sticker. 3. I negotiated a discount of $3,750. Not $2,000 and $1,000 off for the "safety features" Is this correct? I have a copy of your worksheet offer showing a $3,000 discount and later an additional $750. . Apparently, this web site does not have the ability to upload documents. I would love to be able to show other customers how you changed the price from $41,870 MSRP to $42,870 without any explanation until today when you called it $1,000 in safety features.. Again, please tell me what that is. HERE IS AN UPDATE FROM BBB First let me say that I have bought other cars from Cooley and consider myself a repeat customer until this last purchase agreement can be settled. I am honored that Mr. Chase Cooley is responding to my complaint. I never spoke with him so I can see why his statements do not address my complaint. My conversation in this matter was with a Jaime Ramirez so Mr. Cooley has no firsthand knowledge of my complaint. So, let me try to explain to him my complaint. Mr. Cooley, I have never disagreed that I paid the price of the car at $39,120 and I never demand an extended warranty. What I am asking for is an explanation of why the increase in the MSRP price of $41,870 and the price you used on your price quote of $42,870. Or simply said why did I pay a $1,000 more for the car than was advertised. I would just like to know what I am paying for that cost $1,000. I asked if that was an extended warranty or something like that. I have never received a straight answer from your salesman, Juan Gonzales, or your sales manager Jaime Ramirez. Attached is a recording of me asking Jaime for an explanation of the $1,000. As you hear there is no explanation and he gets angry as he fights to get the paperwork I have. Yes, I was initially offered a discount of $3,000 on the price quote worksheet. I refused that offer and asked for $1,000 more. Jaime got on the phone and came back with a counter offer of $750 more. I accepted the offer of $3,750. Below I have 2 scenarios of how you reached the price of $39,120. Either the MSRP was inflated or I did not get the discount of $3,750. The last column is the correct MSRP and discount. Inflated MSRP Correct MSRP Correct MSRP Correct Disc Wrong Disc & DISC MSRP 42,870.00 41,870.00 41,870.00 Discount (3,750.00) (2,750.00) (3,750.00) Selling Price 39,120.00 39,120.00 38,120.00 Again, Mr. Cooley, simply tell me why I was charged $1,000 more than the MSRP or why I did not get the discount I was promised. I look forward to your response. COOLEY REPONSE Hi Mr. Zimmerman, the additional $1,000 on the initial price quote worksheet was for the Clay Cooley Connected & Protected Package. But you did not ultimately pay that price, as you paid the lower $39,120 sale price. COMPLAINANT RESPONSE I had a long conversation with Mr Cooley. He admitted that the " Clay Cooley Connected & Protected Package" for $1,000 was not itemized or shown on the price of the car. He said that it was later taken off the MSRP price but the charge was applied to my agreed upon discount of $3,750. So, according to him my discount was only $2,750. He was unable to tell me what the "Clay Cooley Connected & Protected Package" was but would have some one contact me to explain. As of this date, no one has contacted me. Can anyone believe that a dealer can just add a $1000 to the price of car and no one can tell you what it is not the sales person, not the sales manager and now not the general manager. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH THIS DEALERSHIP?

Oil change tire rotation

I went in for oil change and a tire rotation that was done my only complaint is my scar usually B service and someone come and talk with me concerning my service and if anything else needs to be done no one spoke with me at all I was giving my keys in the car when I got ready to check out I came home and looked under my hood my battery post was corroded I feel like that should have been cleaned up

Bogus advertising

2020 kid soul base model standard for 15k, but you want automatic, try 22k!! How ridiculous is that? Bait and switch much??? Won’t get my business!!

Sophisticated Crooks! Will not Honor the DEAL they Offered! There to RIP Customers!!! (TRY AND AVOID) (I never post reviews, only posting this time to flag fellow shoppers, like myself, of what's going at this dealership) Worked with: Sales person: Austin, Sales senior: Blue and Sales Director: J.R. Me and my boyfriend went to the Clay Cooley Nissan in Duncanville, TX twice first on Saturday to shortlist a car (Red Corolla 2018) and then again on Monday to buy it. They made a confirm offer to us at a XX amount including everything (have a written record of it) from Saturday itself. We went on Monday for a final test drive and to complete the paper work, and they insisted us that they help us with financing. We had a pre-approved loan (at a much better interest rate that they couldn't match) and cash on had to make payments . And once it was confirmed we do not want to get financing done from them "Suddenly" had a miracle realization that there was an error in talking and we have to additionally pay 12 percent more than the original offered price, as it was just for the car. Taxes, Title and License were not included before. [Mind you I have a written proof of explicit written offer that the original price included it all, and a proper breakdown] The senior staff blamed the sales person, sharing there's some communication error there. Which mind you was not true at all! Upon talking to Sales Director we shared how we cannot over pay by 12 percent, it was beyond our capacity and we can go over a little but 12 is impossible. We got the real taste of Clay Cooley's "EXCELLENT" customer service after that... {keep's getting interesting} The sales director was extremely rude and inconsiderate towards our situation or even willing to see any possible mistake on there side. - Upon sharing how we had driven 50 miles just so they can have our business we were told, so what! that's no reason for him to give us a cut - Upon sharing they should honor the deal and stick to the offer they made, he just kept saying there was a mistake. (Read it as: If I won't earn from your interest then you'll pay me more) - Upon asking if customer's value or a good customer experience meant anything to them at all he said, "Some Customers to do matter!" (I guess there's quite the hint!) I can keep going on! but the simple fact that Clay Cooley Nissan has so little respect and value for a customer made me loose faith in the brand. This dealership is only interested in taking (rather Ripping) of customers and giving as little as possible. No fair business works just on taking. Hope this feedback can help them in improving their seriousness in (potential) customer service. We respect everyone's time and effort in trying to do business with us and hope this review can help other pre-owned vehicle buyers to steer away from any such forbidden experiences.
