I have been searching for a AMG since June, 2022. I have been dealing with the mark up of these cars that go against what banks value them. One after another I end up passing a deal on one due to the owner not having the title in hand, price and delayed responses from sellers. Frustrated, I decided to do my daily web search for a AMG and calm the nerves. Little do I find, a car I once owned. Back in 2020 I ended up having to sell a few of my cars due to medical reasons and expenses. One of them was a 2005 SLK55 AMG, which I had worked on personally rebuilding/improving the Roadster. I never thought I would see this car again until I found it on John Heister's website, which this Dealership was located in North Carolina nearly 1825 miles away. I contacted the dealership quickly hoping it wasn't pending sale. John(Sales) who I had first contact with, listened to my story about the vehicle including my past ownership. I went over the details of the worked performed and the modifications I have done to the SLK. He was intrigued with my story and was interested in helping me buy this car back. Now in most cases dealing with price is always the harder end when buying a vehicle but John made it easy, working with his Sales Manager they both gave me the green light on what I would pay for this vehicle. I was so happy and with John's constant communication throughout the buying process and getting the car ready for transport I was beyond exhilarated. This was a effortless experience compared to other Dealers who have only seen customer's as a Dollar sign walking through the door or in this case thru a website haha. WOW THE BEST BUING EXPERIENCE EVER !
we had a horrible experience with a couple other dealerships in south Carolina and north carolina . we have been looking for a truck for months and thought we found a couple so we drove to moore county and on the way there they sold the prospective truck as we were pulling on to their lot out from under our feet . we had check in hand and coming in to look at and test drive they knew we were on the way to do so . they never told us someone else was in the process of buying it they just told us it was still available and to come on out they didn't even show us another truck or something equivalent frustrated and upset we drove 45 minutes one way to not see a truck we drove home . Next day we were alerted of another truck this time in south carolina so we drove another 100 miles the oposite way with check in hand to look at another prospective truck. only to get there and realize they weren't honest about the mileage or that the truck was used . they also failed to tell us that it had pulled a travel trailer entirely too big for that type of truck which raised suspicions about the condition of the truck. they also tried getting more money out of us than what they instructed our bank lender to write the check for if we decided to buy. we asked to speak with the manager at this chevy dealership he said he has been working on this since we called and knew all about the situation , but when we brought up the fact we weren't comfortable buying something that was used and had hauled something too big he was furious and didnt like to be called a liar. he also said that he was sorry we wouldn't pay the extra 300 dollars to make the deal go through . being an older couple we were tired and frustrateddthat a upstanding dealership in south carolina treated us the way they did . so we left and called the bank lender and explained what had happened she started looking for us herself and found john hiester Chevrolet of Lillington and told us to call and give it a try before we gave up . they had a brand new 23 chevy truck and it was less money. we called and was directed to ashley whom was very nice and understanding she told us she was on it and would get back to us. the next day i called back on the truck and they made the ball roll right away . we started out that afternoon 80 miles the other way hoping this was not another goose chase . we went up test drove and did paperwork on our new Silverado pickup truck much better price and way more better experience. thank you so much for your courteous professional and kind treatment it made the other 2 dealerships and frustration go away . best car buying experience ever in our 49 years of buying and driving a car . this place deserves a reward of excellence !!!!!!!!!! ive already recommended this dealership to 3 other people thank you to everyone we cant remember all your names we met that night but everyone was very nice and patient and understanding made the whole buying process worth the trip.

Beware of bait and switch tactics
While I am happy with my purchase, I am not happy about how they handled part of the negotiation and then the sales persons snide remarks at the end. The sales person pointed out that “we add things to the car that aren’t included in the online price, just so you know.” Fine, he pointed out that the vehicle we were buying had window tint, nitrogen in the tires and locking lug nuts for which there was about $700 surcharge. Fine. Negotiating began, we came away decently happy with our purchase price. As we were leaving, Darrin says, “Oh, I guess they never added the locking lug nuts, even though they added them to the ticket. But since we lost a whole lot of money on this deal, you didn’t pay for them anyway.” I found that highly unprofessional, and indicated that they were okay to charge you for items and services not rendered.

Some service advisors do not perform honestly
On March 15, 2022, service manager: Anthony Coppola of John Hiester Chrysler charged me for services that he knew that had not been performed. I believe that him and the service advisor: Faith Vaughn conspired together to do this wrong and malicious act toward me as a customer because they felt they could get away with doing it and it would be “pay back” for me telling the service advisor: Faith Vaughn that she lied to me about the status of my truck and I reported it. She told me that I needed my differential replaced because the fluid in it get mucky and that part of the service would cost me over $1000.00. I was charged for a “supreme car wash” that was not performed at a cost of $120.00 plus tax and supplies. Anthony Coppola told me I had to pay over the phone before he could get the valet to return the truck to my home. When, the valet arrived with my truck, they had not performed the supreme car wash but charge me for it. Still trying to get my money. I am a disabled female veteran and chose the dealership because of their reputation and they provide valet service, so even if I can’t stay with my vehicle; I can drop it off and they will bring it home for me.

Service that was very great
My name is Michael Jerkins, and I am writing this review because I was treated with respect. My service Nathan Pace and Melissa Coats really took care of me during the New Year Eve and Day.Car was in the shop, but they made sure I could get something to drive to spend it with my mom,this is great customer service, also Darreane Highsmith (Customer Advocate) was very helpful for me also.

False Statement
Got a call asking me to bring my car in for a trade offer and they stated they would match or beat any offer I already had. Drive over an hour to give them an opportunity to earn my business and not only did they not give me a better offer, they wouldn’t even match the one I had.

Great Jeep Dealer
John Hiester CDJR dealership is a hidden gem here in the Sand Hills of NC. In our opinion, they have the best car dealer staff we've ever dealt with. From making an an appointment with Ms. Abby Smith, to visiting the dealership to work with sales representative Mr. Darrin Virden, and closing with Paula in finance, our experience was fantastic. Very professional staff, courteous, knowledgeable and patient, everyone made our buying experience easy, fast and efficient.
