I was looking for a replacement vehicle for my 2024 Subaru crosstrek that would be easier for me to get in and out of because I have some physical limitations due to a health problem and my age. I bought the 2025 VW Taos because it was easier to get in and out of and it was in my opinion easier to drive. However I quickly discovered that it did not have the safety features that I had gotten used to on my Subaru. Also the financing was difficult and I was not given a reasonable interest rate on the loan compatible with my credit history and ability to pay the loan. This was eventually resolved by the finance representative. When I told the salesman I wasn’t happy with the Taos he tried to push me into a more expensive vehicle without even finding out why the Taos did meet my expectations. It was high pressure get more money from me. The car ended up in the service department because of a minor problem but even the service manager was condescending and unable to do any effective problem solving. He actually said to me “the car doesn’t drive itself” This was very disheartening because it was very difficult for me to handle what became an escalating and stressful event. I felt disrespected as a returning customer who had previously been treated well to what became a nightmare to me of what seemed to be predatory sales behavior and insults to me as not being financially worthy. Any one of these problems would have been unacceptable to any reasonable person but with my health problems and lack of ability to understand such behavior I became increasingly frustrated and angry. This to me was totally unnecessary and I did not find one person at the dealership who tried to understand the problem except the finance representative who was able to treat me rather well. I had previously communicated by email with a sales manger about helping me into a suitable vehicle but found him to be on board with the greedy salesman who wasn’t listening and instead was trying to turn an unfortunate misunderstanding into his own financial gain.

Bought online used 2019 outback touring with 30k miles and pain premium price. My fault as I never saw the car and had it delivered via truck, The car was missing cargo cover. Contacted dealer and no one answers phone. Now less than 1month check engine light and was told EVAP system leak detection pump error code P2404 whick will cost me 800 dollars. Lesson learned if buy online visualize the car via video, ask many questions and ask for a warranty and if does not offer move on.

I have been going to this dealership for 10 years. Got my new ‘25 Forester here and love it. The salesman Tony was great and the service department has always been great, especially Star.

If I could give a zero I would give a zero but there is no option. I suppose the only reason I would give a 1 is because the gentleman did try to help me as much as possible. But this dealership sold me a LEMON!!!!!! DO NOT buy from these people!!!! I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2018 from them and as soon as I got home the check engine light came on. I then took it to AutoZone and had them read the codes to cover my basis just in case the dealership tried to tell me something else. The guy told me at AutoZone that they turned off the check engine light. So to make a long story short I needed the EGR valve replaced which they agreed to fix after much much complaining. After getting it fixed I then took it home and what do you know my check engine light came on again. I took it back to them and they sent it to the Jeep dealership and they told me it needed new engine mounts and valve cover gaskets. Which was about 5 grand in work. They refused to allow jeep to fix it, meanwhile my car has been in the shop for about 3 weeks at this time. So after much much complaining again they agreed to fix the Jeep but they wanted to fix it at their shop because it was cheaper labor which I understand. But I don't TRUST their mechanic and I was backed in a corner because I had already installed the interlock device onto my car and put insurance/registered my car and wasn't working with much money. So they fixed the car but meanwhile the whole time my complain was that the engine was taking to long to start and I wanted them to fix whatever that problem was. The guy told me that it was probably the fuel pump and that I could let the warranty company fix it once that kicked in. So I was going to try to get the fuel pump fixed but before I could even wait for that my car broke down after 2 1/2 weeks after it got fixed for the 3rd time. I took it to the Jeep dealership and they told me its the power control module. I was under the impression that the warranty i purchased through them would fix this. After my car sitting at the dealership for almost 3 weeks I found out that the warranty does not cover the PCM and that it's going to cost me $1900 to fix. I then went to Bert Smith and talked to them to see if they would help and of course they said no. I have had the car for 3 months and out of 3 months I only have driven the car 3 1/2 weeks because it's been in the shop the rest of the time. I purposely went through a supposedly reputable dealership so that I could avoid this from happening. I wish I would of just went to a buy here pay here I would of been in a lot better position. I am currently contacting lawyers and the news about this. They totally screwed me over! Again DO NOT go to this dealership!!!! I am totally disgusted at how they treated me especially after I told them that my wife just got out of the hospital after being in the for 3 weeks and nearly died and now she can't go back to work and I can't afford to get my car fixed. So now I totally screwed! And they DONT CARE!!! If they did they would try to make this right.
