We have had a terrible experience since sitting down with Finance to purchase the 2023 Kia Forte GT Q4 of 2022. First off, they quoted a price $3K less than what it actually was 'all in' despite the prior quote being alleged as 'all in'. They stated the 'all in' price did not include the mandatory add on costs such as the ding shield, extended warranty, etc. My wife and I decided to proceed with the purchase after having spent so much time to get to that moment, and it was a mistake. The salesperson told us that ding shield protected us from paint chips, dings, dents, etc. - so long as they were smaller than a fixed size. Well... it doesn't cover paint chips. Ten months later, there are a ton of paint chips that I've learned are not covered. The center console is also covered with some kind of laminate, and within 3 months - the laminate had become warped due to sun exposure. We took the car in to have this reviewed due to it being under warranty, and we were then told it will not be covered due to the fact we had a car freshener in the vehicle. They implied this is proof the car was detailed, which is insane - the regrettable purchase / Kia Forte GT was not detailed at any point. Don't use air fresheners in your car, because that apparently implies the warranty is now void! They continue to add insult to injury by not making good on the promises made when we spent thousands more on the car due to the mandatory add on(s). I'm currently planning on pursuing Kia Horne in court pursuant to negligent representation, as it stands today - I would not recommend Kia to anyone. Their sales team misled us, they allowed us to wait for Finance multiple hours on the day of initial contact, and hours later, told us to come back tomorrow. That same Finance team that couldn't help us the prior night due to being so busy then tacked on these mandatory add ons the next morning. Then... Kia has dodged each opportunity thus far to make good on those purchases. Buyer beware - stay away from Kia Horne, and if you purchase a car, NEVER buy a new car from this company. They do not stand by you, they do not back their word, and they have made no attempt to make good on this despite the fact that this will ensure I NEVER purchase another Kia again. Take your new car money elsewhere!
