Why I will never own another Kia (Day 74) Lithia Kia has dishonorably denied recall repairs for my 2020 Kia Soul (roughly 17,000 miles and branded title). It has an open recall for poorly heat treated piston rings, with roughly 295,000 vehicles affected. My vehicle was towed (by Kia Roadside Assistance) and confirmed at Kendall Automotive, Kia’s partner service location in Fairbanks, to be eligible for repair under NHTSA#21V259 and Recall#SC209A before long distance transport set up by Jessica with Kia Consumer Affairs fell through. Instead of waiting an additional month without a courtesy car, I hired private transport to tow the Vehicle to Lithia Kia in Anchorage. There my vehicle was denied for repair under the recall. In the great words of Kia America Inc, June 11, 2021, “Kia has identified a defect in your vehicle which relates to motor vehicle safety ... A seized connecting rod bearing can result in engine damage, thereby increasing the risk of an engine stall and/or in certain cases a fire, due to a connecting rod puncturing the engine block allowing engine oil to leak onto a hot exhaust. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash. A fire increases the risk of injury.” I was lucky to not be hurt.

Exemplary and Personal Service
Clean, comfortable waiting area with comfortable seating, WiFi, charging ports. Complementary coffee, drinks and snacks. Uber offered if you don’t want to wait at dealership. .clean restrooms . I don’t know do a better place to buy a car. After the sales, I am treated as a valued customer. My time and personal situation is always taken into consideration when getting my car serviced. I drive 100 miles round trip, just to get my car serviced. I could have it serviced in my hometown, however, sure to the Lithia Kia Service Department, I am willing to make the drive. It is totally worth it. I’ve been doing this for nearly 5 years. I highly recommend them!

I walked into the dealership and wasn't pressured into purchasing a vehicle. I had read up on their website about which car I wanted. I spoke with Richard Suesue and within an hour I drove off the lot with a 2020 Kia Sportage. I was treated like family not a client. I recommend Richard Suesue whenever you're in the market for a new Kia. I also plan on purchasing another Kia in the near future.
