Best car buying experience of my life. Made an online inquiry on Thursday around noon, and by Friday afternoon we were driving to Smart Honda from Omaha to pick up our new Odyssey. Clay Olson was awesome to work with. Prompt, clear, fair, understanding, etc... everything you could want. They made a very fair offer up front on both the sale of their car and the trade value on our old car. I was prepared to negotiate, but I didn't have to. No egregious/mandatory fees; just a simple, fair deal. We were in/out of the dealership in 30 minutes. Go to Smart Honda and ask for Clay!

We were told we needed a two thousand dollar repair.
We were told we needed a two thousand dollar repair. We told them we had a warranty on our car. Five minutes later we were told that there was a mistake and the repair would be three hundred dollars. Also, we were told we had to leave our car there or the warranty would be void.

My glove box was broken by smart Honda of Des Moines when
My glove box was broken by smart Honda of Des Moines when they attempted to check my cabin air filter. Tried multiple times to get them to fix this, was told by Matt Hofmeyer to be patient and would he would get to it. Not one call back

Hard pass
I was pretty happy with my purchase until I found out that it had the Ford myKey feature turned on and they never provided me the master key. The car is locked to not go faster than 80mph and they refused to fix it. I was not told of this when purchasing the car and I let them know about this during their warranty period. Go elsewhere. There are better dealerships out there.

I had one of the best buying experiences recently at Smart Honda. Everyone from the salesman, the sales manager and the finance manager were personable and friendly! There was never any pressure to purchase. I felt like I was free to walk away at any time. When I did decide to purchase, the process was fast and simple. There was an issue of misinformation from the salesman about a feature of the car I purchased. I called with my concern, and they added the feature at their cost! I was totally surprised and extremely pleased that they would stand behind the sale and take care of me to make sure I was completely satisfied. This was after the sale, when they could have easily not have done anything else for me. I will absolutely be returning to Smart Honda for future purchases and will gladly recommend them to anyone. Great Job and thank you!!

purchased 2012 used CRV here last year, brakes going out
purchased 2012 used CRV here last year, brakes going out so I took my vehicle to get repaired where I bought it. Inspection, we need $80.00 to tell what needs repaired. Okay, so does that $80.00 go to my repair? No, it's separate for the inspection. Seriously? Yes, due to only about 50% of the inspection get repaired here. Okay, count me 50% and I'll come get my car and take it elsewhere. Further more I won't be shopping for any vehicle here. I will need to rate it poor since after the purchase you don't stand behind the sale.

Mike Morales Of DesMoines Ia has taken care of our new car since we brought it in 2019 (Honda Pilot ) We moved to this area in 2018 and had a older Honda Pilot which he took care of us . He was the reason we brought the 2019 Honda . My husband just had our car there Friday 4/15. As usual great service by Mike and the rest of the staff. Thank you for job well done
