When my dad passed away I was left in the position of
When my dad passed away I was left in the position of taking care of all of his affairs. One of those was a Nissan Altima he purchased from Hatch Toyota used car division. He paid way to much for it (based on book resale), but that is not the problem. He paid way to much for it based on it being a good no issues vehicle. I paid it off with funds available, and because we wound up with way more cars than we needed I started doing some research on selling it. I expected low ball offers from dealers. I got a couple, and then I checked Autonation and CarMax. Carmax has always offered more than any dealer, so I was surprised when they didn't make an online offer at all. When I ran it through AutoNation they sent an offer to email, and then cut it in half due to frame damaged discovered from doing a vehicle history check. This was clearly not disclosed by Hatch when they sold it at the already almost outrageous price. Oh, I suppose its possible they told my dad and he bought it anyway, but I highly doubt it. I know him. He would have just bought something else, or demanded a price more in keeping with a frame damaged car. In my very well informed opinion there is no way my dad would have bought it if he knew its actual vehicle history. In my opinion Hatch deliberately and willfully took advantage of my dad in his old age. Based on my opinion derived from what I discovered if asked, I would say I wouldn't do business with Hatch, and I could never recommend them. In my opinion they deliberately took advantage of an old man in a very mercenary fashion. There were hints I noticed driving the car that seemed to indicate it might need service. I was thinking maybe it might need shocks, but frame damage could also explain it. It was frame damaged and its on the recorded vehicle history.

Knows her products and listens well to her customers.
Knows her products and listens well to her customers. She is not an aggressive sales person and strives to achieve a fail deal if you do.

Tomas was great to me in the process of buy ing my car.
Tomas was great to me in the process of buy ing my car. However I noticed that the rotors needed fixed right away, they fixed that. And then a couple weeks in my oil pump went out!!! Before I found that out from another dealership, but before that I was in Hatch twice for them to figure out the problem and they couldn't so that's when they sent me to another dealership. It cost a fortune to fix so I asked Hatch to help me since the problem started before even having it a month and they told me I have had it over a month by that time, that the problem and the cost was all on me!!! I would NEVER recommend them. I talked to a few other people that happened to them as well😡

Michael was our salesman and did a fantastic job. He contacted us immediately to start the process and had everything ready to go when we came into the store. He made the whole process as easy as possible.

The salesman that greeted me at the door started off
The salesman that greeted me at the door started off fine. He asked what I was looking for, I told him a pickup truck from last years model…something not too expensive. After getting my name and number, he asked about my budget. I told him it wasn’t his business, let me worry about my budget. I wasn’t with him for five minutes when he stood up, yelled for his manager and said he was being disrespected. I didn’t get much better treatment from the manager who interrupted me. When I asked specifically about a 2023 Toyota Tacoma they had listed at the site, they said they didn’t have it yet. Worst customer service experience ever. Don’t they reach salesmen to tailor the sale to the client? But instead of listening to me, the salesman wanted to waste a lot of my time when they didn’t even have the truck they listed online. 👎

What started out as a great experience turned sour pretty
What started out as a great experience turned sour pretty quick. I totaled out my FJ and needed a new one. They had one listed for a fair price so I negotiated everything over the phone before driving up from Phoenix. I use the truck pretty much exclusively off-road so wasn’t going to nitpick it. It had just been through “safety inspection” by Hatch so wasn’t worried about the cosmetic or interior damage that wasn’t disclosed to me before driving 3 hours. Upon my drive home, truck ran hot as it was low on coolant, blown shocks made breaking scary, battery was bulging to point of leaking, oil leak, power steering leak, and 72 miles into my drive check engine light turned on. Sent a text to sales person who didn’t even respond. Dealership started calling me to get emissions testing done so they could title it. It wouldn’t pass emissions and needed new Catalsyt to pass (a couple thousand dollars). Manager called me and told me they knew about all the issues but declined to fix them as emissions weren’t required in Showlow. He only offered to pay for a new battery at local Toyota dealer (didn’t respond to multiple emails and never paid for it when I sent invoice). They knew I needed emissions where I live and actually cleared the check engine light and hid it from me. They admitted it was revealed in their inspection and just failed to disclose it. Wow. I enclosed a few pics so you can see some of the items that needed replacement within 300 miles. Absolutely no help after the fact. If buying used I would suggest taking to a different dealer for inspection before buying from them. Could have been a great experience but post purchase was horrific. Also filing a complaint with ADEQ

Buy your next vehicle here, ask for Logan Brewer
The salesperson I worked with was Logan Brewer. He is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I was on a tight schedule and he worked with my time constraints to show me two of the four vehicles I was interested in. Turned out that I liked one of those two and was able to get the price negotiated before my appointment. The manager, Will, is sitting at the front desk so the negotiations for a final price were quick and painless. The entire experience was so much better than I have experienced in the past in purchasing a vehicle. Also, Larry who finalizes the paperwork in addition to explaining warranty options is knowledgeable without out being "pushy". It shows that Hatch Toyota takes the time to train their people and they are happy to be working there.
