I purchased a used vehicle from this dealership in February 2020. While test driving the vehicle, I noted a few things that I wanted repaired before purchasing,... one of which was a rattling that occurred during acceleration. They assured me they would fix the issues and on a subsequent test drive, the rattle was gone. They explained it was caused by a loose heat shield and stated they'd repaired it. It was only after purchasing the car and having an unrelated, major issue repaired just a few days later (see below) by a different mechanic, I learned Lotspeich had not repaired the heat shield, they completely removed it! They did not disclose the removal, a dishonest move that has left me with a car with a potentially dangerous condition and one that is costly to repair as it requires a complete replacement of the manifold. Four days after purchasing the car, it died while driving it. The torque converter was bad. Thankfully, the car purchase included a third party limited warranty and that part was covered. I called the dealership to see if they would fix it themselves. The dealership said “we would like to make this right,” but would not commit to covering parts and labor, nor would they explain what "making it right" meant in writing. They also told me that the warranty would not be in effect until 30 days after purchase. Having the details of the warranty right in front of me I knew this was not remotely true. As the dealership is located over an hour from where I live, I chose to use the warranty and take it to a shop with more experience repairing this model of car. The car sat at the shop for 10 days, without any work, because the warranty company needed to investigate why the dealership sold a car with such an obvious pre-existing issue that disabled it only four days after purchase. While ultimately the cost of the repair was covered, I wonder if Lotspeich knew of this issue and counted on the warranty company to pay for it after someone purchased the car. I am highly unsatisfied with this experience.
I went in to get my car looked at (weird noises) and was extremely impressed with the amount of communication before the services were actually performed... letting me know a price and a timeframe.
Friendly, willing to work with us on details, not pushy, made a good deal
We hope that your Buick Verano gives you years of worry free driving! Thank you for choosing us as your dealer of choice!
We just bought another vehicle from Lotspeich. It is a 2018 Camero SS, 2SS fully loaded and in as new condition. We bought here because they are the... best dealership that we have dealt with. The service department with Jim Bragaw is the best we have ever dealt with, they take care of you and treat you like you are family. We are thrilled with our new to us Camero and the deal we got from them. We have bought vehicles from them for almost 30 years and have been happy with all of them, and we cannot say enough good things about the dealership and service department. Keep up the great work Lotspeich, and see Bryce Gabbert for a great deal on a great car or truck!!!!!!
Thanks to Chad and Jim for their continued excellent service.
In good faith I purchased a 2016 (in 2016) Malibu brand new off the lot and within 1 week the car had completely stalled and locked up throwing us from... 50 mpg to 5 in about 1 second (I know that's not their fault) but we expect them to analyze and correct the problem as we purchased their extended warranty. At that point all the service department did was turn off the check engine light which does not generate a service record. It's 2019 now, check engine light still on, vehicle still stalling, service 2 days ago the service department turned off the check engine light and told my wife that it keeps coming on because she is on and off the gas pedals, what a complete crock. Between the purchase in 2016 the check engine light has never been off for more than a week and we have driven the car to Lottspeich (40 miles away) between 12 and 15 times, we had them print us out service record for our attorney and it printed out 4 records, which means ten times all they did was reset the check engine light. Every time we get a loaner they talk like we should be excited about it, it's embarrassing and I don't give a crap about the loaners. This service department is a complete joke and the management allowing this to happen to its customers will feel the burn one day. I know they will reply with a generic statement about how highly they uphold their customer service, but we are done with customer service. We want a working vehicle and this deal that went down in 2016 has completely wasted years of our lives that we cannot get back. All we do is swap out vehicles and wonder when our car is going to lock up on the highway. Still to this day no resolution, nothing you can do at this point will make it right unless you give a refund for this piece of garbage you sold us and continue to sell us on, wasting yours and our time.
Dealing with their service department has wrecked my entire family's week. Daughter's car broke down in Warrensburg so we had it towed to nearest Chevy... dealer (Lotspeich). We waited twice for parts to be shipped from Chicago to fix the car. In the meantime, they had no loaner available so we had to drive my daughter to and from Warrensburg to class and then to KC for her job. Service staff was NOT friendly, sympathetic, or helpful. After 4 days we pick up her car and make it back to our hometown before it completely broke down again. Completely non operational. We picked it up and paid thinking the car would be fixed. I really don't think they didn't do anything to the car. We will be reporting to better business bureau and anyone else I can think of. We are not made of money and have had to tow it to yet another dealership.
It is the goal of our dealership to make sure every customer is satisfied. Not all situations are the same and at times we are at the mercy of others... vendors and parts providers to be able to get a customers vehicle fixed. We trust that the parts being provided to us will not fail but in some situations certain parts do fail In these situations GM does provide a warranty on the part for the customer to be able to have the part replaced under their parts warranty. We value every dollar that is spent by our customer and strive to provide the absolute best service possible.
I have purchased new cars (and traded in cars) with Lotspeich Automotive for YEARS! They are never pushy and work very hard to find the vehicle you want.... They go above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied! Of course, they service all of my vehicles as well. The service department gets you in very quickly and addresses all of your concerns and needs. The Lotspeich family and crew is TOP NOTCH!
My daughter was treated with respect and genuine concern in resolving our issue. Everyone we encountered was kind and professional and went above and beyond... to help her ! Great organization !
