Regular maintenance for my X1

Service was professional and well done. The option to provide a loaner vehicle while mine is being worked on is one of the key benefits of their service.

First Vehicle Service

Excellent experience. Brought the car in for its first maintenance visit and waited for it. Service advisor was awesome. He kept me updated on the status and they competed the maintenance in the time frame that was promised. Fields really takes care of their customers. That's why I've bought my last three cars from a Fields dealership and will continue to do so.

Change spark plugs and oil change

Jerry got me in and out with a loaner car is running great . Only problem is service fees are high. Ompared to bringing it elsewhere. I continue to use Fields because I trust that the BMW technicians know the car the best and the service team is good

It took 4 times to fix the same issue.

The fact the service area couldn't diagnose my issue the first 3 times, left me in a very dangerous situation that can easily been catastrophic to me and other drivers on the road. I was given lazy excuses on what was wrong the car.

Excellent, easy, convenient

There is a bmw dealership 8 blocks from where I live and I drive 45 minutes out of my way for Fields BMW. Chris in service is great. He is kind and easy to work with and always finding the best ways to solve the problem easily and efficiently. I always recommend this service department.

Routine maintenance

FIELDS BMW has excellent customer service. Chris Goodrich was my service advisor and he was more than helpful with all my questions. He even followed up with me to ensure all my service needs were met.

FIELDS=UNETHICAL & DISHONEST PRACTICE!

FIELDS dealerships train the most unethical and dishonest human. Fields BMW Northfield bullied me for the whole 8 years after I purchased and service my car there. Don't waste your time and money at these FIELDS dealerships. They indicated they had a new team for management but this is not true. They just rotate managers to a different FIELDS dealership. Their dishonest, unethical and non professional standards remain the same. In 2011, Jerry Marichal the service advisor lied to me that my warranty was 3 years when it was actually 4. Every time when I brought my car in during warranty for light notifications on ENGINE, LEAKS, TIRE PRESSURE, RADIATOR TANK, WASHER TANK, SQUEAKING SOUND & ENGINE SOUND, THEY WOULD DELAY & STALL ALL REPAIRS. After the warranty expired, they produced multiple lists of repairs: replace engine cap (over $10,000 on this 1 item), LEAKS, ignition coils, spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, oil spill, blowing smoke from exhaust, 3-4 different fluid flushes, front & rear spring replacement, suspension, leaking radiator and washer tanks, replace all brakes, replace more tires, etc.. to rip me off every time. My car has only 55.000 miles after 8 years. I had to replace 6 to 8 tires due to pressure imbalance which they lied by saying the tires were punctured by nails. REALLY? 6 to 8 times by nails? Such DISHONEST PEOPLE! How could they stoop so low and ill treat their own customers. Richard Weinstein, the new service manager, instead of solving problems, he was only interested and will entertain only to further rip me off for more money from additional repairs. He is very dishonest, a bully and certainly not qualified to be a manager. Beware of service advisors, Jerry Marichal, Ken Learnahan and many more employees there. The service technicians cheat customers by presenting all the unnecessary repairs first, so customers have never ending repairs. Customer service, quality of work, friendliness, price & overall experience, ALL have ***NO STARS*** ******AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!****** FIELDS DEALERSHIPS!

Dealer response

Hi Irene- We understand that you have been a long time customer of Fields BMW, which we truly appreciate. We are extremely alarmed by your statement and can assure you that we take your dissatisfaction very seriously. Our managers, salespersons, service writers and certified technicians practice and hold their position with integrity. We understand that maintaining your BMW is important and we always strive to advise the best. Unfortunately, maintenance can get pricey. Although there may have been some miscommunication and misunderstanding in a series of events, we would like to have another chance to redeem or explain better what we can offer to the most that we are able to.

Consumer response

You did not leave contact information. I was already conned by Richard Weinstein to have a meeting with him. At the meeting, he checked my records, looked at me and said, "You are a loyal customer." AND YOU KEEP COMING BACK? He told me off in less then 5 minutes, In addition, he indicated, IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR CUSTOMERS TO REPLACE 10 TIRES FOR THE SAME BMW. This is UNETHICAL BUSINESS! Maintenance is pricy because FIELDS did NOT repair the faults during warranty and lied about warranty expiration date. When my engine light lit up, the work order had a request for manager's approval for repair, instead the service advisor lied and told me nothing was wrong and discharged the car.

The worst car dealer experience!!!!!

It was the worst car dealer experience that I ever had in my life! Nick (manager) shows the kelly's blue book value on his computer and reduces price by 5000 to 7000 dollars while buying your car. When you go home and check the kbb value of the same on your computer, you will be shocked to see the price difference in thouands of dollars. For me he showed the kbb price as $21000 for 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLK 250 Bluetec (very good condition). But I shocked to see actual kbb value (trade in price) was around 28000 dollars for the same. Shame on you, management of Fields BMW Northfield!!!!!

Treated like a valued customer in every way. Loaner vehicle was clean and newer. Service was prompt and as expected. After service follow up call a nice professional touch.
