Not very happy with customer service at the Gateway

Not very happy with customer service at the Gateway dealership after parts informed me a data control module that was draining my battery and that also controls all Bluetooth functions was on back order for 8 months and possibly wasn’t going to be available at all. A few days later another dealership had it in a week. Also the Gateway service rep disappeared when I had questions about a window that didn’t stay closed that Gateway simply cleaned the gasket- nope, that was tried before by another dealership and a local independent mechanic without success. The dealership that got the module correctly identified the problem & replaced the gasket instead. Problems corrected. I can’t recommend Gateway

Hi Susan, We understand why you feel the window repair was too slow. We are required by the manufacturer to follow a multi-step diagnostic process. The first step is to clean the molding (gasket). If you return with the same concerns, we then follow the next step recommended by the manufacturer. The DCM is a nationally backordered part that is distributed to retailers in very limited supply. Our Gateway team should have been proactive in getting the part released for your repair. We are glad that your concerns with your vehicle were finally resolved. Our team should have better communicated the window diagnosis process and been more proactive in getting the backordered part for your vehicle.

I had purchased 5 Subaru cars from 1998 to 2018 from

I had purchased 5 Subaru cars from 1998 to 2018 from another dealer.....I went back to that dealer to trade my 2019 Forester for a 2023 Forester.....long story, but, the very young sales manager was arrogant and insulted me.....I then went to Gateway.....on October 25, 2023, in 2 1/2 hours, I had my new 2023 Forester....they were wonderful

Janet was so patient with me.

Janet was so patient with me.. i felt valued and heard and respected. She works like crazy answering phones, running cars around and helping ppl, yet we always felt like we were the only ones that mattered. She is knowledgable and helpful and yet not intimidating. Like buying a car from your sister!

Absolutely no pressure and no hidden fees.

Absolutely no pressure and no hidden fees. The dealer offered up an "out the door" price right at the beginning of the process that was reasonable - but they still left room for negotiation and made a better deal in the end. As I went forward, I felt that everyone I dealt with had an up front honest approach! Well done.
